今天，是一年一度的元旦，我们大家都很开心，心情也是十分激动。

首先，我打开冰箱开始选择食材，冰箱里有鸡蛋、青菜、胡萝卜、鱼等。我选了茄子和丝瓜，还拿出了蒜和辣椒当配料。然后开始洗菜切菜，在切茄子时，感觉就像在切一块海绵一样，我又开始削丝瓜皮，削过的丝瓜摸起来就像一条滑溜溜的鱼，怎么也抓不牢它。切丝瓜时我还发现，它和茄子一样，里面都是孔状结构。这时，我想起妈妈说过，煮丝瓜和茄子之前要把它们用水浸泡一会儿，煮出来才不会太干。泡好切好的丝瓜片后我开始打火，等锅烧红后往里倒了一点油，把用碗装着的茄子倒进锅里，锅立刻‘尖叫’起来，吓得我连忙往后退，等锅里的‘尖叫’声停止后，我才拿起锅铲蹑手蹑脚的接近锅，将里面的茄子翻炒了几下，这时我才发现大事不妙，忘记把茄子片用水浸泡一下了，眼看茄子马上就要烧焦了，没办法，只能死马当作活马医了，我往锅里面加了点水，锅里面又‘尖叫’起来，冒出一股乳白色的水蒸气。我又手忙脚乱的将辣椒和蒜放进去了，结果呛得我连连咳嗽，这时我赶紧盖上锅盖，心里懊恼地想：唉!我的辣椒炒茄子要变成了水煮茄子了。过了一会儿，我揭开锅盖，看到茄子们都变软软的了，便将它们装进碗里端上了桌。至于丝瓜嘛!我煮出来的就是有些发黑，到现在都知道是为什么。

当我把饭装好，正在审视我的劳动成果时，门开了，我连忙到门口迎接妈妈，一进门，妈妈就惊讶的问道：“什么东西这么香啊?”“嘻嘻!我把饭菜都准备好了。”我高兴的说，坐下来后妈妈吃了第一块茄子，我立刻充满期待的问：“怎么样?”“嗯——真不错!我家儿子懂事了，还知道煮饭菜给妈妈吃了!”我心里简直乐开了花，“只是——没放盐!”我又有些失望，“没关系，下次记得放就好了，煮成这样已经很棒了!”我若有所思地点了点头，马上，喜悦和自豪又占满了我的心。

今天，妈妈回到家，手里多了一个袋子，袋子里黑乎乎的，不知道是什莫东西?正当我百思不得其解时，妈妈仿佛看出了我的疑惑说道：“这是送你的小礼物，打开看看吧!”妈妈笑眯眯的看着我。我迫不及待的打开了袋子，“哇!”一声惊叹使我意识到自己是多麽的喜欢眼前的这株小植物了。它绿油油的叶子小心的往外伸展着，叶子的颜色绿得仿佛要滴出水来。摸上去嫩嫩的，光光的，活像一个稚气未脱的小孩子。我爱不释手对妈妈说：“妈妈。让我来照顾他好吗?”“好的，没问题。”妈妈爽快答应了。我一蹦三尺高，不，比三尺还高呢，嘻嘻。

我把它栽在盆子里，摆在窗口。一阵风吹过，它那小小的叶子轻轻地摆动，可爱极了，我更加喜欢它了。我一会就要去看看它，为它浇浇水，松松土，满脑子里想的都是它。

I have got two baby cats. They are very beautiful. One is yellow. The other is white. They are very lovely. The yellow cat is very naughty. He likes to play with people. He often runs here and there.
