Private cars have become an important aspect of people’s life in many parts of our country,especially in large cities such as Beijing,Shanghai and Guangzhou.While they bring much convenience to people,they are also widely criticized.

2。听新闻报道：北京为清洗天安门广场的口香糖残渣，先后动用了近千人次，耗时一个多月的时间。将费用平均下来，每清洗一块口香糖残渣的费用花费为1。5元，相当于一块口香糖价格的6倍左右。

3。据科学家分析，日本将在100年后沉没，是因为我们人类不断排放大量有害气体，把地球弄得乌烟瘴气，使全球变暖，加速了南极冰川的融化。

由此可见，这些不良行为导致的环境污染会给我们未来的生活带来巨大的危害：它们会使水体污染，生物发生病变，这些都严重地威胁着人们的身体健康，如果人类还这样大肆破坏，地球迟早会成为一个巨大的“脏球”。

看到这些触目惊心的资料，我心里非常难过，心想：如果每个人每天绿色出行、节约每一张纸、不乱丢垃圾，不使用一次性物品，世界一定会更加整洁，更加美丽。所以，在此我呼吁大家：请保护环境，保护地球，保护我们共同的家。

Nowadays, peoples life has changed a lot with the development of modern technology and economy, which has put lots of negative effects on the environment.

Why this? 通过实地调查和上网查资料，我了解到以前的荆州护城河污染十分严重。护城河两侧共有二十多个排污口，每天城区的生活及工业污水排入护城河，直接排入的总污水量约5万立方米。因此，河水变成了浑浊的墨绿色。居住在附近的居民和过往的行人也很不爱护环境，把垃圾随随便便仍进河里，使河水的污染进一步加重。由于护城河是死水，无法流动，河底淤泥非常多，水面上漂浮着大量的蓝藻，河底的沉积物散发着臭味。人们从这里经过，都要捂着鼻子，加快脚步。
