我现在己经是二年级的学生了，老师说我课堂上爱举手，爱提问，还积极和同学讨论呢，这都是读书带给我的好处，通过读书。我知道很多道理和知识，我还知道很多很很久以前的事情呢，有时候我还会把《当代小学生》中的故事或者知识讲给弟弟妹妹，她们也都很喜欢听，妈妈说我自从爱读书，更自信更可爱，更让别人喜欢了呢。有时候看着妈妈捧着厚厚的书在读，我就会去问：妈妈，你读的书也有小动物吗？也很好看吗？妈妈就会说：“书中自有黄金屋，书有自有颜如玉。”虽然我不明白这句话，但是，我明白，妈妈常告诉我的另一句话：书是人类的好朋友，是人类进步的阶梯！

I am a December 2003 graduate from the University of San Francisco (USF) with a bachelors degree in International Business. As part of my career planning, I am very interested in supplementing my international business education with a basic knowledge of the Chinese language. This I hope will help me enter into business commerce with business organizations partnering with Chinas economic development.

I already have information from BLCU and hope to study there for at least one full year starting with this summers program continuing through the fall and spring semester 2006. Can your office advise me if such scholarships might be available to me?

I have been studying Chinese for one year now. I am not sure what level I belong to. I was told that there will be an HSK test in our university in September. I am planning to attend the test. But I dont know if the result of the test is recognized by your university. If so, can it be a help for me to apply for the scholarship?

center and there are many sites that attract people from all over the world to

take a visit. One of the famous sites is the Statue of Liberty. Everybody knows

this great site and it has become the symbol of New York.

The Statue of Liberty stands on an island of the New York City harbor. It

is the tallest building ever built. When people get there, they will see a woman

holding a torch of fire. In her feet, people can see the chains that are broken,

which means she gets away from the restrictions and chases for freedom. There is

a book on her right hand, which is the Declaration of Independence.

The complete name of this statue is Liberty Enlightening the World. It is

the present from French people to American people. The meaning of friendship and

freedom are shared by both countries. Today, the meaning of the Statue of

Liberty is shared by the world. People can feel the peace when they see this

image.

Zeng Qiao is one of my friends。 She is a beautiful， outgoingand

good-tempered girl。 She smiles frequently。 I think it’s her smile that makes her

beauty。 We live in the same dormitory， so that we always stay together， no

matter going to classroom or having dinners。 At first， I don’t like her very

much， because she is always talking。 It seems that she can’t stop open her

mouth。 I am a little bit quiet and introverted， so I seldom talk to others。 But

Dear Jim,

Last Sunday my classmates and I went to Xiangshan Park.

We met at 7 oclock at the school gate. The weather in Beijing that day was

great. At around 8 oclock, we arrived at Xiangshan Park. There is a high tree

on the bottom of the hill. We had a party and played games under the tree. Then

we climbed to the top of Xiangshan Mountain. It was not very difficult for us to

do it. Next, we had lunch at the top of the hill. It was delicious. After lunch,

we saw some birds. They were friendly. And we saw a whole picture of Beijing.

"What a beautiful city!" I said. At that moment, we all felt so proud. I live in

Beijing now. The 2008 Olympic games was held here.

有一次，我和颜韵崎在玩的时候，我们班的同学来借我的名牌帽子，我就借给了她。我和颜韵崎又接着玩。过了一会儿，我向她要帽子，可她却说不知在哪。于是我把这件事情告诉了颜韵崎，他对我说：“那就找呗!”颜韵崎这里问问，那里找找，我们把整个操场都找遍了，累得满头大汗，可还是没有找到。上课铃响了，我只好失落地回到了教室。颜韵崎看见我的表情，心里暗想：赵明凯一定非常伤心，要不然我再给他买一个吧。第二天，我的桌子上就多出了一个帽子。

到了期末考试的前几周，颜韵崎就会变成书呆子。

那一天，老师让我们出去玩一会儿，我立刻穿好外衣找颜韵崎去玩。可他丝毫不动。我以为他生病了，可是我小心碰到了他手里的书，他说了一句：“别动。”吓得我差点坐地上。我看他一直在复习，我也不想出去了，和颜韵崎一起复习。期末考试成绩下来了，我们俩每次都考八十多分的语文竟然考了九十多分。看来我和颜韵崎那段时间的复习没有白复习。

阡陵平常很喜欢弹钢琴、拉二胡，每当我有不会弹的曲子她都会协助我。阡陵常对我说：”今日事，今日毕。”有时，我的钢琴作业不懂都会拖到隔天再写，这时她也会协助我，让我每天都能顺利写完作业。每到假日阡陵都会来我家，我和阡陵常常一起弹钢琴。阡陵只要碰到钢琴，她就会忘了外面的世界，沉浸在音乐的国度里。

虽然阡陵有时非常爱叨唠，让我有时觉得她像我妈妈一样，但是我们两人的关系还是非常的好。如果不是阡陵的鼓励，我就不能变得更有自信；如果不是阡陵，我的钢琴就不能弹得这么好；如果不是阡陵，我就不会有这么多快乐的时光。我很谢谢她的协助与陪伴，阡陵不只是我的好姐妹，还是我非常知心的朋友喔！
