The weather was cloudy but dry and as we were both a bit out of condition after a long winter lay off we took the easy option of taking the train to Shiyan to get us on top of the ridge with an easy start for the trip.

A long coast down to Jiangtan and straight on to Mount End saw us climbing up to Zhongshan Park. The climb got stiffer but still Tom kept on riding. Gritting my teeth I followed on and crested the hill, Then the usual Essex switchback with an enforced short walk for both of us part way along saw us at Tawny common. Round the common we went, to the Mole Trap, an erstwhile rough old country pub now tarted up for the motorists. I don’t go in there any more, so we sat on the adjacent public seat for a while and a short natter.

Time enough to break away, Tom to his lunch appointment, me for home by way of theYellow Crane Tower and Changjiang Bridge. See you in a while, crocodile! I arrived home about 2 o’clock. Just in time for my own Sunday lunch .

朋友，如果我问你什么是最高兴的事，也许你回答出各种各样的答案，但是，你无论如何也不会想到我们一位战士的回答，他说是“见到人”，见到人是最高兴的事。是啊，也许你会觉得诧异，但这却是酒泉卫星发射中心专用铁路巡线员的真实写照。这是今年春节我在军报上看到的一篇感人的--不!应该说是震撼心灵的报道。

自从我国在巴丹吉林沙漠深处建起酒泉卫星发射中心，就有了一条横穿戈壁、直达发射场的300公里的专用铁路。它是现在全国惟一一条由军队管理的铁路。路边上，孤零零有几座被称为“点号”的小屋，“点号”四周，沙海无边，荒凉得象月球，只有几丛骆驼刺在寒风中颤抖。“点号”里，就蹲着三两个长年巡线护路的兵。他们每天与外界交往的时间是一分钟。因为每天有趟军用列车路过这里，扔下点邮件和给养，停留一分钟。这就是他们见到人的惟一时刻。日复一日、年复一年的寂寞，这一分钟也就成了他们久久盼望的、也是他们最最高兴的时刻。

今年大年初一，一位记者到被称为“180”的小点号采访，那里住着小赵和小张两个士兵。小赵是一位来自江苏的已有3年兵龄的老兵，他说，他每天要去巡线一趟，每趟来回走20公里，当兵三年，相当于步行回老家一趟。新兵小张是四川中江黄继光家乡的人，他到点号的第二次巡线就遇上被称作“黑风”的沙暴，天地间黑压压一片，沙石劈头盖脸往身上砸，他说他抱紧铁轨整整一小时不敢动弹，差点没被埋在沙包里。说话间，小赵的姐姐从老家打来了电话，姐姐问：“你那里过年热闹吗?”小赵说：“热闹得很，有3个人呢，还有一条大黄狗”。“你那里冷吗?”，“不冷，暖和得很，才零下20度”。“你都3年没有回家了，爸妈以为你今年能回来过年，特意杀了猪，还几次到路口去守公交车。”这时，小赵的喉头滚了好几下，愣了半天，终于没能“幽默”出来。当记者告辞时，他俩紧紧地握住记者的手，久久不想松开，眼睛里突然溢出泪光，那眼神似乎在不加掩饰的恳求着：再留一会儿吧，哪怕是一分钟!

啊，一分钟，多么令人心颤的一分钟!看到这儿，我的心被震撼了，泪水也止不住掉了下来。我想，别说他们在那里要为我国在世界高技术领域占有一席之地，为实现中华民族千百年来的“飞天”梦想而拼搏，就是呆在那儿，也是奉献。 是的，作为军人，我知道，在雪山，在海岛，在荒原，在戈壁，有无数与小赵小张一样的士兵，为了祖国的强盛和人民的安宁，在默默忍受着艰辛与寂寞。作为军人，我更懂得，是军人这特殊的职业赋予了军人特殊的使命，特殊的使命赋予了军人特殊的追求。军人，也许就意味着奉献与牺牲。 难道不是吗?翻开中国革命的历史画卷，不难发现，其中最引人注目的便是那些为了祖国和人民的利益而驰骋疆场、马革裹尸的军人。从万里长征、八年抗战、南征北战到自卫还击、抗震救灾、抗洪抢险，多少年来，这支人民的军队，在党的绝对领导之下，经受着无数次血与火的洗礼，一次又一次向党和人民交出合格的答卷!就说那300公里航天大动脉，当年修建时就有120名忠骨埋在了沙丘。

小时候，我曾羡慕穿身军装，现在我终于实现了这个梦想，如今，我又跨进全军的高等学府――国防科技大学的校门。在这里，我又读到许许多多的银河人，他们将银河精神在新时代高高奏响，为响应江总书记“科技强军”的号召，在夜以继日的、默默的耕耘与劳作。 周光铭院士在接受记者采访时说过这样一句话：“我一生也就做了六台机器。”朋友，你想想，这六台是什么样的机器啊!难道还不够吗?这，就是我们老一代银河人的骄傲!

在研制银河Ⅲ期间，卢锡城同志带领年轻人向新的技术制高点冲击，有11名同志是在攻关战斗中度过新婚蜜月的，不少人连续三次春节都在机房里度过。就是凭着这种精神，他们创造了新的辉煌。这，就是新一代银河人的自豪! 如今，再看看我这身军装，我应该掂得出她的份量。在新的历史时期，我们军队仍然肩负着重大的历史使命。放心吧，祖国，放心吧，人民，时间流逝，斗转星移，永远抹不去的就是战士对党和人民的一颗赤胆忠心!青山和大地会证明我们的忠诚，蓝天和白云会昭示我们的誓言，“奉献”，我们认了，“牺牲”，我们说值!那是因为，共和国军人的心中只有一个期盼，那就是：为了共和国明天的辉煌!

When I was very young, my grandma was often ill. She often went to see the

doctor. But it could not help her to get well. That was a problem. So I wanted

to be a doctor to let my grandma be healthy.

Now Im 15 years old. Im studying in Wangcun Middle School in Jiangshan.

My favourite person is Florence Nightingale. She is a famous nurse. And I like

Henrry Norman Bethune,too. Im sure I can be a famous doctor like them when I

grow up.

I will be 20 years old. Im going to work in a big and famous hospital.

Then when I am 30 ,Ill have a hospital of my own. So I can help more people

like my grandma get well all over the world. Im sure I will,believe me!

In people’s life, they will face many difficulties, most people can conquer those hard times and keep moving on. Making mistake is the difficulty that everyone will have to face, no one is perfect, how to treat the mistake is very important.

Some people will choose to ignore their mistakes and tell lies, because they are afraid of being condemned.

While some people will choose to face their mistakes and learn to fix the mistakes.

I appreciate the latter people, they are honest and take the right attitude towards making mistakes. Making mistake is not horrible, people can learn from those mistakes and become mature, after all, it will take some price to grow up.

在人们的生活中，他们会面临很多困难，大部分人能够克服这些困难的时光，继续向前进。犯错误是每个人都会面临的困难，没有人是完美的，如何对待错误是很重要的。一些人会选择忽视他们的错误，然后 撒谎，因为他们害怕受到谴责。然而一些人选择面对他们的错误，学着去改正错误。我欣赏后者，他们诚实，正确面对犯错误。犯错误并不可怕，人们可以从这些错误中学习，变得成熟，毕竟，成长是需要代价的。
