The mini knitted garments have helped save hundreds of flightless birds caught in oil spills providing protection from the elements and stopping them from ingesting poisonous pollution.

Knits for Nature a program run by The Penguin Foundation which conserves the little penguin population of Phillip Island 140km south-east of Melbourne has created up to 300 different designs over the years - and its all thanks to talented volunteers.

‘There’s a lot of hidden creativity out there said Lyn Blom of the Phillip Island Nature Park.

People love to know that they’re helping the penguins because they’re so cute and small and they waddle up the beach and they’re so feisty. But they need to be they live in a pretty tough sort of environment.’

A thumbnail-sized patch of oil can kill little penguins the smallest of the species measuring just 13 inches (33cm) and weighing 2.2lbs (1kg). The oil separates and mats their feathers breaking natural waterproofing and heating functions.

Ms Blom estimates she has knitted between 200 and 300 penguin jumpers over the years including ones in the colours of every Australian Rules football team in the country.

A staff member read an article in an English women’s magazine about knitting for guillemot birds and decided to adapt the designs.

‘There’s an awful lot of ladies out there who used to knit for their children and grandchildren. These ladies have spare wool and idle hands and they love to feel loved and needed and we love and need them’ said Ms Blom.

The Penguin Foundation recently staged a competition for the most creative jumper which received an enthusiastic response.

The Penguin Foundation rescues approximately 20 birds a year. They even have a stockpile of jumpers in case of emergency - such as the large oil spill near Phillip Island in 2001.

In that instance 453 Little Penguins were affected 96 percent of which were saved - most thanks to the jumpers.

老师是孩子心中神秘，广袤的偶像。它可以让学生领略到“天苍苍，野茫茫，风吹草地见牛羊。”的美景中，也可以带领我们穿梭在“黄河之水天上来，奔流到海不复回”的意境中。他们不管是在学习还是在生活上都很关心我们。影响我最深的是我的初中化学老师，他在课堂上是我们的老师，但是在课余时间却待我们如子女，他平易近人，他风趣幽默!中考后我们一直保持着联系，高考失利的那一段时间也是他一路激励着我。对于他的好我无法用世间的词来形容他的好!

为此我更加的坚定了我的梦想，并且一直在追梦的道路上努力，拼搏。也受过嘲讽和打击，但更多的是激励。曾记得高中时我的班主任在临近高考时对我说：“你要记得你的梦想是当一位老师，所以你要坚持，不要害怕高考!”那时我的高中部的副校长在那，他说：“你要当老师?就你那胆量还敢在公共场合说话，一紧张连句完整的话都讲不出。”尽管他说的事实上，但是我还是不会放弃我的梦想的。现在的我，将来的我会一直朝着我的梦想前进。

天下无难事，只怕有心人!只要你有一颗炽热的心，你的梦想终究会成为现实。

I have many dreams, such as I am rich in the future. Therefore, I can buy

all what I want. But my greatest dream is that I want to be an astronaut. Our

country develops fast and our space make great progress in the last several

decades. It has great achievements. All of our country are proud of it.

Therefore, I want to be one of this amazing area. In order to make my dream come

true, I must work hard now. So that I can go to a good university to learn more

knowledge. I hope my dream can come true one day.

每个人都有着自己的梦想，而不论什么梦想都会与国家有一定的关系，也都以国家的繁荣昌盛为铺垫、为目的。

梦想是人生前行的动力之源泉，它可以激发一个人生命中的所有潜能。我们人类也有翅膀，长在会思想的大脑上。它带我们到所不了解的地方翱翔，带我们摆脱不情愿，带我们走向优秀和杰出。

一个人小时候读过的书籍会终身难忘，文学作品对孩子有潜移默化的影响。中国文学研究会会长樊发稼说：“好作品有益于当心青少年励志启思、明辨真假美丑、树立正确世界观与人生观、培育高尚道德情操，有利于少年健康成材。”也就是说，阅读对少年有很大而又很好的影响。而教育家梁启超这么写道：“少年智则国智，少年富则国富，少年强则国强，少年独立则国独立，少年自由则过自由，少年进步则国进步，少年胜于欧洲，则国胜于欧洲，少年雄于地球，则过雄于地球。”也可以说，少年文学作品影响整个国家。

我从小十分热爱阅读。我总是很羡慕、很崇拜作家，敬仰那些作品有灵魂，带有教育意义的好作家。后来我发现自己也喜欢写文章，于是我不甘愿再只是仰视作家这个职业，我想成为一个好作家。我将来会成为一个作家，在有趣的故事中悄无声息地告诉孩子们一些道理，让他们学会忠心报国，学会勤劳俭朴，学会自强不息，学会文明礼貌，学会……

作家是我理想的职业，我还有许多其他的梦想。我还希望变成厉害的运动员，站在最高领奖台唱着中华人民共和国国歌，为国争光;希望变成慈善家让生活拮据的人过上好日子;希望变成知识渊博的医生，创造出好药好器械让病重的人健康起来，让他们的家人不再伤心难过;希望……

梦想不是说说而已，要从小小的努力开始。读书多读几分钟，每天多记几个单词，课堂上再多专注几分……梦想贵在坚持，从现在开始为梦想努力，勿忘昨日苦难，不负今日使命，追逐明日梦想。

It’s to celebrate the lunar calendars new year.In the evening before the

Spring Festival,families get together and have a big meal.

春节是为了庆祝农历新年的来临.除夕夜,一家人聚在一起吃一顿丰盛的年夜饭.

In many places people like to set off firecrackers,Dumplings are the most

traditional food.

在很多地方,人们都会放鞭炮,饺子是最传统的食物.

Children like the festival very much,because they can have delicious food

and wear new clothes.

孩子们非常喜欢这个节日,因为他们可以有好吃的食物同时可以穿新衣服.

They can also get some money from their parents.

This money is given to children for good luck.

I have many hobbies.In my spare time,I like listening to some pop music,especially the music played by some pop bands.It can make me relax and let me forget my unhappy moment. If Im in good mood,I always read some history books,which I think is benefical to my study .Besides,surfing the Internet is another means of entertainment of mine.Through the Internet I can get some useful information and chat with my friends as well.The Internet has shortened our distance.

后来，我慢慢的长大了，渐渐的懂事了，不再那么幼稚了。我的梦想不再是当一名拥有神笔的画家了，而是成为一名可以救死扶的医生。可以让听不见的人能听见，他们就不用生活在自己那无声的世界了。可以让看不见的能看见，他们就不用生活在黑暗的世界了。让不会说话的人能够说话，他们就可以与人交谈了。痛苦的病人，治疗之后就不在痛苦了。

再后来，我开始觉的老师的职业是神圣的，老师们用洁白的粉笔来传授知识，用博大的胸怀来关爱学生，对学生们有无私的爱,不仅传授知识给我们,还教给我们很多做人的道理。当我们做的好了，老师会表扬我们，让我们继续努力。当我们做的不够好，沮丧时，老师会去鼓励我们，让我们不失去信心。当我们犯错时，老师会批评我们，那是为什么呢？为了让我们去恨她吗？还不是为我们好吗？为了让我们变的更加优秀。如果说我们是祖国未来的一朵朵花，那么老师就师辛勤的园丁，悉心的呵护着我们。别人把一件好东西给你之后总是想让你还回，但是老师把知识和做人的道理这么好的东西给了你之后却不想让你再还给她们了，而是希望这个东西一辈子都属于你，希望你一辈子都不要再还给她。虽然有的学生会不喜欢那个老师，甚至还在背后说老师的坏话，但是老师知道后却不会改变对你的态度。

老师是多么宽容啊，老师是多么无私，多么伟大啊。正是因为老师的伟大，老师的宽容与无私，所以我才这么崇拜老师，喜欢老师这个职业。所以我一定要努力学习，实现我的梦想。

在我今后的成长中，梦想也将会陪我一起成长。
