And the most important is that I have learnt how to communicate with others， which is a necessary skill. Nowadays studying is not the only thing that we high school students should do， there are some more important things we have ignored.

First， I am grateful for my parents. They have spent so much money for me， but never ask for anything in return. I really know how hard it is to work on such living conditions.

Now It’s time to introduce my tutor sally. It was she that led me to the right studying here. It was she that helped me deal with all kinds of annoying things. Also there are some other teachers that I appreciate， especially Laura and Anita. Of course， I like to take foreign teachers‘ classes. Anyway， thanks all of you！

Youth comes only once in a lifetime, therefore, it is important that we

在我们的生活中有许许多多的谎言，而其中善意的谎言是美丽的，这种谎言不是居心叵测的。当我们为了他人的幸福和希望而适度地撒一些小谎时，谎言即变成了理解、尊重和宽容。

记得这个暑假，我和妈妈在杭州旅游。有一天，我们吃完晚饭，坐出租车回宾馆时，我突然发现开车的那个司机模样长得异常丑陋，黑黑的脸上有着一双闪着邪恶光芒的眼睛。开车时那张大大的嘴巴不停地吐出各种脏话，我吓得冷汗一下子冒了出来，双手将妈妈的手臂抓得紧紧地，双眼紧盯着司机，一刻都不敢放松。这时，妈妈好像看透了我的心，“铃---铃---”，忽然，妈妈的电话响了。她接完电话时，我好奇地问：“妈妈，刚刚打电话给你的人是谁呀？”

妈妈微微一笑，刚要张口回答，可是又闭上了嘴，沉思了片刻，申请变得严肃了一会儿，然后又微笑了起来说：“是你爸爸打来的。”

“什么？是，是爸爸！”我的心一下开心地蹦了起来，并加快了跳动的速度，“他在宾馆吗？”

一周才见一次面，每天我给你们打电话，父母，你掺了多少谎言?

问我每天必问的三餐伙食，饱不饱，暖不暖。说你俩下馆子了，味道很好，不必担心，却不知你们潦草了早餐，忽略了晚餐。披星戴月的工作，碰到多少客户的心烦。然后，你们还要疲惫的笑着问我“学习有什么困难?今天过得好吗?”我只言片语，无心回应，竟连这短短十分钟的时间都要赶。

通话结束时，你们总说我还有很多事要做，你们也有很多活要干，叫我挂电话吧。却不知，这短短十分钟时间，你们盼了一天。每次我拨去电话的时间，你们都算计着。“呀，今天怎么晚了半小时，闺女没写完作业吗?有什么事吗?”电话这头我可能只是贪玩了些，亦或是一时忘了。挂了电话，偌大的房子，空荡荡的，你们并不知该做什么呀!

你们教我不要撒谎，你们却先说了谎言。我发出的文章，我的照片，我的消息，你们一遍遍读，却说太忙没有看，叫我多努力。这样的谎言，不止一次了吧?我发现了。

所以我也开始谎言，其实我每天并不轻松，三餐也错过很多，没有很优秀，也没有很开心。但我还是希望我能很开心的对你们说一句“我都很好啊，哪像你们俩那么马虎。”

这样，你们就不会担心，这样，也是种幸福吧。

Are professional success and a fulfilling personal life mutually exclusive? Probably not, although it is more difficult today to achieve both.

Undeniably, todays professionals must work long hours to keep their heads above water, let alone to get ahead in life financially. This is especially true in Japan, where cost of living, coupled with corporate culture, compel professional males to all but abandon their families and literally to work themselves to death. While the situation here in the states may not be as critical, the two-income family is now the norm, not by choice but by necessity.

However, our societys professionals are taking steps to remedy the problem. First, they are inventing ways such as job sharing and telecommuting to ensure that personal life does not take a back seat to career. Second, they are setting priorities and living those hours outside the workplace to their fullest. In fact, professional success usually requires the same time-management skills that are useful to find time for family, hobbies, and recreation. One need only look at the recent American presidents-Clinton, Bush, Reagan and Carter- to see that it is possible to lead a balanced life which includes time for family, hobbies, and recreation, while immersed in a busy and successful career. Third, more professionals are changing careers to ones which allow for some degree of personal fulfillment and self-actualization. Besides, many professionals truly love their work and would do it without compensation, as a hobby. For them, professional and personal fulfillments are one and the same.

was afraid of thunder since he was a child. The other day I went to see grandpa

waiting for my mother to pick me up and go home with me. But mom cant come to

pick me up because of something.

dots running towards me. Im so happy. It must be Avang and Heiie to greet me

when I go home. But I was so happy that I forgot the red light ahead and rushed

out. Suddenly, Awan ran up to me and shielded me from the oncoming impact of the

car.

The owner of the car to see, the original hit is a dog, did not say what

drove away. I am very helpless, very want to find him desperately. But Avangs

life is more important. Thinking of this, I immediately picked up Awan and ran

to the pet hospital.

所以一咬牙我就一个人冲进了大雨中。雨太大了，我一路飞奔。朦胧中，我看到两个移动的黑点在朝我跑过来。我很开心，肯定是阿旺和小黑来迎接我回家。可是我太高兴了，忘了前面是红灯，冲了出去。说时迟那时快，阿旺跑到我面前替我挡住了汽车迎面而来的撞击。

车主下车一看，原来撞到的是条狗，没说什么就驱车离开了。我非常无奈，很想找他拼命。可是阿旺的命更重要。想到这，我立马抱起阿旺跑到宠物医院。

医生说“不用做手术了，基本上没救了。”听到这，我不由自主地放声大哭。医生看我实在太伤心，建议给阿旺安乐死。我只能忍痛答应，我不想让阿旺临死前那么痛苦。

日子就这样一天天的像流水一样过去。这天妈妈把烧好的鸡腿儿端上饭桌时，只听妈妈对爸爸说：“来，快过来吃你最爱吃的鸡腿哦！”妈妈刚说完，只见爸爸连忙摆手，“我不吃，我……我以前喜欢吃，现在啊，要都留给咱们儿子吃。”我清楚的看到爸爸脸上宠溺的神情，我惭愧了许久。想起之前对爸爸的意见我就更惭愧了。现在，我终于知道爸爸不是不爱吃鸡腿，而是想把好吃的鸡腿都给我吃。

I am at present a student at Mary High School, Hong Kong, where I have been

studying for the past five years. I passed the Hong Kong Certificate of

做人虽然要讲诚信，但是我认为谎言是更重要，比如善意的谎言，下面就听我来说为什么！

比如今天我们学会了一篇课文，课文的题目是《唯一的听众》，这个故事就是讲了一个不成功的小提琴手因为一位老教授善意的谎言而获得成功，获得在大众面前拉小提琴的机会。

这只是我们学过的一篇课文，在我们的生活中也有很多这样的事情。比如：有五个矿工在一次事故中，被困在矿中，他们必须要有一个人来报时才知道外面的时间，那个报时的人每小时给他们撒谎说过了一个小时他撒谎说过了半个小时，使他们有信心活了下来。这不是善意的谎言让人们活了下来的原因吗？

还比如：有一个学生，他对长跑是并不是很在行的，但在一次的测试中，老师告诉他的长跑速度比其他同学快，而且还说他有机会代表学校参加比赛，叫他好好努力，那位学生听了老师的话之后非常兴奋，因为一直认为自己没有长跑天赋的他，竟然能代表学校参加比赛。从这天起，他真正喜欢上了长跑，并且每天坚持起来跑步，过了一段时间后，本来完全不能代表学校参加比赛的他，竟然真的被选上了。

可是有人说谎言是不对、的是不应该的、是会害人害己的，但是我回去反驳他们。所以我认为谎言这个词有对的有错的，对起来会对人有很大的帮助，但是错起来就会有人受害。

当我们让别人撒一点小小善意的谎言却换回了对方巨大良好的改变时，我们会觉得善意的谎言是特别的神奇的。所以我认为谎言不是全错而有它自己的好处！

唉，真是的，征文比赛我落榜了。

放学了，同桌看见我闷闷不乐，然后凑过来问我怎么了，我便是开始向同桌倒一肚子的苦水。

“你看看这个吧。”同桌拿过来一本书，哇！原来是尖子生！里面的真好！我看地津津有味，但是不知不觉中就到家了，我有些舍不得地还给同桌。

回到家后，我跟爸爸说我想要那本书，可几乎跑遍了整个龙南县的书店，都没有找到那本书。

去到学校，我问同桌：“你那本书哪里买的？我也想去买一本。”

说起谎言，人们心中总是出现一丝厌恶感，因为在人们心中，谎言不是真实的，是虚假的话语，它轻时损害人们的利益，大时甚至损害国家的发展，然而，今天我们说的谎言是一个有定义的——善意！

那天，天气时阴时雨，我坐在沙发上，看着电视，偶然听到爸爸妈妈说起外公，说外公住院了，我猛地直冲进房间，问：“外公怎么了？为什么会住院？严不严重？什么时候去看看外公……”我接二连三地问了好几个问题。他们愣住了，妈妈一脸忧虑，继而又放松下来，说：“没什么，没什么。”妈妈的声音突然又立了起来“你现在的任务是学习，不要管东管西的！”“可是我……”我刚想要替自己辩解，爸爸便向我喊道：“你作业写完了没有！不要留到周六周日在那补啊补！”“我一时语塞，不知说什么好。

日子一天一天地过去，我自从那天以后，就没有听到任何关于外公的事情，我便没有多在意，每天昧心没肺，开怀大笑着。

生活中也有不少的例子呢！有一次我的一个朋友告诉我，他的父母因为他爸爸没有叠好被子，结果他妈妈看见了，大发雷庭，他俩一言一语的吵了起来，幸好他用演技才化解了一场“世界级大战”。他说当时他说自己肚子痛，在那吵架的爸爸妈妈马上走了过来，问他怎么了，并且还摸了摸他的头，一发现原来是在骗他们的，他以为他父母要打他，可一看，他俩的气全没有了，而且在那里互相自责。
