According to a recent article on Newsweek concerning children’s’ education,

there is an increasing number of parents worrying their kids to an extreme

extent, depriving them of independence and freedom by keeping them around

parents all the time.

Some people applaud this phenomenon, suggesting that kids’ safety is the

most important. Thus, they’d better not enter the hazardous society without

supervision unless they become adults. From my point of view, some of their

opinion is correct but keeping children away from independence is a completely

erroneous decision. The reasons are as follows:

First and foremost, “locking kids” may hinder their healthy growth, both

mentally and physically. The kids who are locked may have heavy reliance on

their parents, as their comprehensive skills such as communication skills or

cooperative spirit being prevented from developing.

Secondly, what these parents fail to see is the fact that the crime rate

and accidents aren’t on a rapid rise. It is the abuse of mass media that make

crimes and violence more scary. The parents, who love their kids so much, are

completely forced to live under the illusion that our society is full of riots

or threats of accidents. Thus, kids can be allowed to have more freedom such as

walking to school by himself, for instance.

From what has been discussed above, we may safely draw a conclusion that

kids should be given more freedom by parents’ effort. At the same time, parents

should take many factors into consideration such as the time restriction for

children and the evaluation to kids’ maturity and capability. Only then can they

enjoy a safe and meaningful childhood.

从小学升入初中，如果留心的人一定会注意到自己像变一个人似的。比如说，个子长高了，声音变了，性格也变了。在小学是一个性格开朗的孩子，可是到了中学自己对于衣着打扮就非常重视，性格越来越暴躁，甚至还与父母顶嘴。这些例子说明，我们从小学到初中的变化情况。接下来我说一说我的朋友。

我有两个朋友，一个叫朱光伟，一个叫崔焕金，我们都是从小一起长大的。现在我们又一起升入中学，生活在一个校园里。虽然不在一个班级，可是课间，吃饭的时候，体育课，星期天我们会经常见面。所以我们之间都彼此了解，而且谁在变化我们也知道。在我们三个中我的两个朋友变化最大。

朱光伟他小时候很老实，学习努力，成绩好；在家听话，还孝顺父母。可是现在我们都是大孩子了，他的学习不像原来那么努力了，总是琢磨找点什么好玩的，上网打游戏。父母一说他，他还不满意，以为自己不用父母管闲事了，有时还和父母顶嘴。上了中学真的变化很大。

崔焕金小时候对学习不大感兴趣，而他到了中学就变了。学习非常好，也比小学努力了。他还说现在只想专心学习，长大了孝顺父母。我们三个里我的变化不算很大。

每个人的变化都是自己的信念组成的，而不是天注定的。如果信念坚定，那么人的理想就会实现。

Everybody knows that our life is very short, so the great educators always

advocate us to do what we like and pursue for our goals bravely. Most people

have many ideas in their minds and they dare not to take action, because

thinking of the effort they make but what if they accomplish nothing, so they

decide to give up and just live the boring life. It reminds me of the famous

words, some people just die at age of 20 but only to be buried at the age of 70.

As we are young and full of energy, it is a good time for us to fight for our

future, never be afraid of failure, because it is the mother of success. We can

achieve our goals if we have patience, just to cherish time and keep

fighting.

昨天是12月31日，是20xx年的最后一天，我既兴奋又高兴，因为我们举行了一次迎新活动。

我还很喜欢刘以恒表演的电脑技术展示。他教会了我们怎样来制作PPT，还教会了我们几个电脑的程序。他不讲我还不知道呢，原来他肚子里有这么多知识呢。

迎新活动结束了，我们快乐地迎来了20xx年，新的一年到来了，我准备在新的一年里努力学习，天天向上，取得更好的成绩。

这是一个雪后的早晨，我像往常一样背好书包上学去了。

“别害怕，慢慢来！”小朋友对我说。他还告诉我滑滑板的要领：前脚要踩稳，后脚踏上就摇摆，上的时候要快哦！爸爸扶着我在广场上转了一个大圈，然后松开了手，让我自己开始练习自己滑，我先是左脚踩上滑板的前面，后脚在地上蹬了好几下怎么也不敢上去。爸爸说：“不上去，永远也学不会。”这时我鼓起勇气，右脚踩了上去，我正暗暗高兴我没摔倒，结果没注意一下子摔了一跤，让我出了一身冷汗，我勇敢地站了起来，继续练，进过反复的练习，我终于克服了心理的恐惧，掌握了一些技巧。

第二天，爸爸给我买了一个滑板，我们又来到广场，开始慢慢的练习，先是站上去，可以滑五六米，这主要是身体保持平衡，快要到的时候我就立即跳下来，这样就不会摔倒了，滑的时候要给滑板足够的动力，双脚要不停地晃动。我终于学会滑滑板了

通过这件事，我不但感受到学会滑滑板的快乐，还明白了一个道理：世上无难事只怕有心人。

Im just writing to let you know that were all well, and I hope you are, too. Unfortunately, Ive got some rather bad news for you: Im afraid I made a bit of a mess of Johns car. Anyway, heres what happened.

We were on our way to Carols after a long party, and I suppose it must have been about eleven o’clock. Well, the last few miles back home were really dark and deserted. I now realize I was probably going a bit too fast for a country lane because, although the road was fairly straight, I drove up onto the curb and went into a tree.

Of course, John was absolutely furious and started shouting at me and cursing. After we d argued for a few moments, we decided to look at the damage, and he calmed down a bit. Well, we found we could move the car, but the wing was caught on the wheel, so we couldnt drive it. I tried to pull the wing clear, but I didnt succeed.

Anyway, John went off to phone for a breakdown lorry, but while he was away, I had another go at the wing and this time succeeded in pulling it right off. I threw it onto the back seat, and by that time John got back and we were ready to go?so we didnt need the breakdown lorry at all. John has more or less forgiven me now, but he was very angry with me for a few days. I suppose I was a bit careless.

我在寒假里的头几天把寒假作业统统做完了，除了日记，“日记日记，一记”。对了，我每天还要抽出一小时的来读从图书馆借的《四大名着》、《运动与波》和《名人传记》。写写日记，记记读了文章后的感想之中最有意义的事。

最的让表姐给我补习了。表姐是一名初中生，各门功课都在班里名列前茅。不像我，语文基础较差，每次大考都上不了九十五分。在假期里，我努力跟着表姐学语文，把语文给搞上去。，英语要跟着表姐学学。在乡村学习英语较晚，学生是没好处的，我要在假期把学过的和没学过的英语知识好好地温习一遍。以后，我要让同学们刮目相看。

寒假就要结束了，在这28天的寒假里，我收获了很多，也过的很快乐，就在那天大年三十，家家都买齐了烟花 爆竹，准备好了年夜饭，等着过新年。

这一天到临了，我早早的起了床，和舅舅弟弟舅妈去买好了鞭炮，我很兴奋，到了买鞭炮的店里，我们精心挑选了很多鞭炮，和一些小的，店主说给你们打个折吧，那些小鞭炮的钱就免了，我们买了四个大的，没想到居然花了2000多元，这令我震惊了。

回到家，吃完中饭，外婆就开始准备年夜饭了，眼看外婆从街上买了许许多多的吃的，有鱼有虾有蔬菜，还有油炸食品，看样子就口水直流。恨不得早点把这些吃的秒速干完。

吃年夜饭的时间到了，可是外公还没有回来，可能是因为有事吧。我们就等了外公十来分钟，可是他还没有回来，我就等不及了，急忙吃了起来，嗯…不错不错。尝尝这鱼，尝尝这肉，尝尝这虾的。外公终于回来了，我们在位置上坐了下来，打开饮料马上吃了起来。大家都吃的津津有味，吃完年夜饭，就到了最有兴趣的时间了，“放鞭炮”。

舅舅把鞭炮搬到了家门口，用打火机点燃导线。兹兹兹……只听见导线燃烧的声音，过了一会儿。“砰”的一声只见烟花窜上天空，“啪”一声巨响，接着发出了几百声这样的声响。我们看着烟花，心里乐嘻嘻的。之后到了7：30时我们看了春节联欢会，还一边在手机里抢着红包。

这回寒假的春节我们过的很快乐，希望下次寒假也能像这回这么快乐。

一天晚上，我听见小小的声音再说：“我是书包，我是小小的书包，我是漂亮的书包。可是自从小主人上高年级，书一多，我就不是原先那个漂亮的我了。

我以前很苗条，一进校门，无数双眼睛向我投来敬佩的目光！而现在一进校门都没人理睬我了，我心里可真难过呀！”我说：“现在社会竞争激烈，每位家长都想让自己的孩子学多学好。所以，使劲往书包里填书，学校老师也如此，生怕自己的学生落后。天天发课外材料，练习册，让书包越来越雍肿，才变成今天这个样子。”书包拍着自己的肥肚皮，愁眉苦脸地说：“将来我怎么找婆家呀！”

一位白胡子老爷爷捋着胡子，笑呵呵地递给她一块手帕。临走时对她说：“你把它放进肚子里，你就会变苗条了。”她按照老爷爷说的去做，第二天，我又背起书包，但是我走着走着，突然我的书包变的非常轻，于是我便加快速度跑到学校后，打开书包一看，书包里竟是一盒七消丹，我正准备回家拿东西，可转头一看，桌子上已经摆上了我要用的所有东西。

我高兴地说：“太好了！”我认真的听老师讲课，书包就在我眼皮底下仿佛对我说：“谷丽莎，如果你好好学习，我会一直陪伴着你！”我高兴地叫了起来。这时，有一个声音想了起来：“莎莎，再不起床就迟到了！”是妈妈在喊我，原来是场梦啊！
