老牛说话了：“等我死了以后，把我的皮做成一双鞋，你就可以腾云驾雾了。”老牛死了以后，牛郎把老牛的皮做成了鞋，飞上了天去找织女，可是却被王母娘娘头上的簪子变成的银河挡住了去路。牛郎在对面守了许多天，最后王母娘娘也被感动了，所以王母娘娘只在七月七日这一天，让牛郎和织女见面。织女心灵手巧，女人都乞福自己也能心灵手巧。

这就是乞巧节的来历。
