It was a sun day of the summer holiday. The weather was hot. My little brother and I decided to go to the resrvoir to swim by bike. It took us half an hour when we got there, many people were swimming. Then we dived into the water……

About an hour later, suddenly somebody called: “help! help!” We were surprised to see a boy struggling in the deep water. As quickly as possible. We swam towards him and pulled him to the shore. He lost his consciousness. We sent him to the nearest hospital at once luckily, he was saved.

在曲阜，主要是看三孔：孔庙、孔府和孔林。孔庙：就是历代皇帝拜祭孔子的地方；孔府：是孔子的后代衍圣公的私邸；孔林：就是包括孔子在内的孔氏家族的墓地。根据导游的指点，我们的游览顺序为：孔庙、孔府和孔林。

“咦？这个‘至’字上面怎么少一横啊？”随着一句句让导游忙不过来的问题，我们来到了孔庙。“孔庙”，庙嘛，当然就是烧香拜佛的地方啦。不过，在孔庙，这些常规就有所改变了。这里的佛就是孔子，而来烧香拜孔子的人则是一朝天子－皇帝。

孔庙里有好多碑都在文革时期被破坏了，但唯独一块明代为朱元璋所立的碑被完好地保存了下来。这是为什么呢？据说当年周恩来以朱元璋、共产党都是白手起家、农民起义得天下为理由，巧妙地使此碑幸免于难。

孔庙诗礼堂后有一块藏书壁，名为鲁壁。秦始皇焚书坑儒时，孔子后代将家中典籍密藏于故宅壁中，才使后人有书可读。不过，这块墙因年久风化，已是清朝重修的了。里面的藏书已被拿出，现在只是空墙一面了。

看完孔庙，我们又开始向三孔之二的孔府“进军”了。

府，就是某人的官邸、私邸。孔府，就是历代衍圣公（孔子后代）的私邸。衍圣公，是清朝时，加封孔子后代的官职：官拜一品大员。

孔府里有衍圣公的办公地点（大堂）和家眷住所（后院）。住所分主楼和东、西两楼。东西二楼各位二层，第二层原为储藏室，后为客房，专为接待那些娘家亲戚们。

后记：听导游说，孔氏后代已于1948年搬出孔府。老六叔叔在后面接了一句：“看来人到一定的时候，还是会被赶出家门哦！”

好了，现在三孔已经看完两孔，我们该去看第三孔－孔林了。

孔林，就是埋葬孔氏家族人的一块墓地。其主要现一种“父携子怀孙”的排列方式。这里的“父”指孔子，“子”指其儿子孔鲤，“孙”指其孙子孔癭。孔子、孔鲤、孔癭的墓前都立着两块碑，前面的一块为清朝所立，后一块为元朝所立，采用的都是梅花篆字。孔子的儿子孔鲤，因为一生没有什么作为，所以死后只被封了一个小小的泗水侯。其孙子孔癭也是一位非常著名的思想教育家，他是《孟子》一书的作者孟子的老师。

孔子墓旁还有其弟子子贡守墓的地方。孔子死时，其他弟子都在，唯独子贡出外经商，不在孔子身边。等子贡赶回时，孔子已经去世六天了。所以，别的弟子守了三年墓，只有子贡守了六年。

Here is a difference between science and technology.Science is a method of

answering theoretical questions; technology is a method of solving practical

problems. Science has to do with discovering the facts and relationships between

observable phenomena in nature and with establishing theories that serve to

organize these facts and relationships; technology has to do with

tools,techniques, and procedures for implementing the findings of science.

Another distinction between science and technology has to do with the

progress in each. Progress in science excludes the human factor. Scientists, who

dislikes, or to popular ideas about the fitness of things. What scientists

discover may shock or anger people--as did Darwins theory of evolution. But

option of refusing to believe it! But hardly so with technology;we do not have

the option of refusing to hear the sonic boom produced by a supersonic

aircraft-flying overhead; we do not have the option of refusing to breathe

polluted air. Unlike science, progress in technology must be our slave and not

the reverse. The legitimate purpose of technology is to serve peopie--people in

general, not merely some people; and future generations, not merely those who

presently wish to gain advantage for themselves.

We are all familiar with the abuses of technology. Many people blame

technology itself for widespread pollution, resource depletion and even social

decay in general--so much so that the promise of technology is obscured. That

promise is a cleaner and healthier world. If wise applications of science and

technology do not lead to a better world, what else will?

This morning I went to the classroom at seven oclock because I was on duty today. Of course I was the first one. I was cleaning the blackboard when Li Ming came into the classroom. As is known to us all, teachers play an important role in our process of

growing up. As far as I am concerned, an ideal teacher should be responsible,

impartial and wise.

First of all, a qualified teacher should be responsible. For one thing, he

should try his best to make his class interesting and try to understand what his

students need. For another, he needs to keep enthusiastic with his job of spread

knowledge all the time and act as an example for others everywhere he goes

to.

Second, be impartial is another requirement. As a teacher, he should not

divide students into good ones and bad ones since each student has unique

characteristic and value. Therefore, no matter what kind of students he

encounters, he should treat them impartially, without any bias.

Finally, my ideal teacher is one who does not only teach students his

specialized knowledge but also can give students some guidance about life and

I have a friend. Her name is Candy. She is twelve year old. She has black and short hair. She has a little mouth, two big eyes. She is so cute. Her mom and dad love her. She has a happy family. Her friends like her too, So she’s happy every day.
