Ive read this twice. The first time I rushed through it just to find out who was the "victim." Yeah. Wasnt really surprised about that. Im sure a few people are thinking it was a serious mistake to off our lamented victim, but honestly, I wasnt really enthused at having to slog through this book.

I understand that this is covering the adolescent years of young Mr. Potter, but the whole teenage angst thing came out of nowhere. There shouldve been some hints as far back as "Chamber" but instead, we have four years of pent-up hormones come flooding out of the page. It is overwhelming at times, a feeling made worse when you realize that there wasnt a big plot; if anything, this was written partially for contract, partially to continue the story （I, personally, could have lived without the whole Hagrid/Grawp subplot, not to mention 50% of Dolores Umbridge, who herself is part pun, part metaphor, yet neither part really does anything but make one groan）。

But one thing to be said, there is growing tension and suspense in the book, which is written and intended--if we remember for a moment and think （perhaps somewhat na-iv-ely）--for young adults and not those of us with seasoned palates. This is why the book deserves a high rating; to me--and to many individuals over the age of, say, 16--this isnt a great novel. But it is an excellent novel for the young adult crowd and anyone who wants a mystery/fantasy/pseudo-thriller with characters who are reaching the genesis of their development. We may not like the person Harry becomes or the browbeating attitude of Umbridge or Rons jealousy rearing its head at odd turns, but it is a realistic portrayal of adolescent confusion and angst, of the tendency for some individuals in todays society to repreinformation and punish anyone who tries to resist the "system."

Yes, this is a heavy-handed statement, but this book is a metaphor as much as it is a fantasy. Remember, the Harry Potter series is desgined as an arc, so we naturally have to have the stage set for the final two books in the saga.

Hardcore Potter fans will enjoy this. Anyone expecting a great epic, however, will be disappointed because of their misconceptions.

Man’s life is a process of growing up, actually I’m standing here is a

growth. If a person’s life must constituted by various choices, then I grow up

along with these choices. Once I hope I can study in a college in future,

however that’s passed, as you know I come here, now I wonder what the future

holds for me.

When I come to this school, I told to myself: this my near future, all

starts here. Following I will learn to become a man, a integrated man, who has a

fine body, can take on important task, has independent thought, an open mind,

这本书中最引起我共鸣的文章是《五猖会》。鲁迅先生在小时候那么向往五猖会，父亲却要求他背书，使他一点也不快乐，我们在现实生活中也有相同的经历，鲁迅先生真切地道出了我们的心声，我认为家长们真应该看看这篇文章，听听我们孩子到心声，反省反省自己。

The teacher set up the summer homework. Good guy, that damned language

法布尔的这部书，咋看起来是非常枯燥无味的，可当你深入去了解它，你便会发现，法布尔不仅是一位昆虫学家，还是一位作家!“萤火虫的光是白色的，非常柔和而且幽静，没有一点儿刺激，就像星星的光华被这只小小的昆虫给收集起来了一样。让我们怀疑天上的星星原本就是无数萤火虫在那里睡眠。”如此一段优美的文字正是出自法布尔之手。因此，人们赞誉法布尔“拥有哲学家一般的思，美术家一般的看，文学家一般的感受与书写”。

总而言之，《昆虫记》这部书给了我无数的乐趣与无数的启发，我认为这是一部值得一生阅读的好书。我想，无论是谁，只要认真的阅读一下《昆虫记》，读出体会和感想，一定会知道的更多。

Recently

graffiti has become more noticeable in my college. I feel quite annoyed at them,

especially when some of my classmates praise them as a kind of so-called art.

Confronted with this impolite phenomenon, I cant help asking myself: what is

wrong with todays teenagers?

In

my opinion, graffiti is a form of vandalism. They are a mess and are ugly to

look at. Meanwhile, walls are public places, and they should not be used to

express personal views and feelings.

I

really think vandalism should be stopped, and those who refuse to stop this bad

practice should be punished. We should clear away these ugly expressions and

drawings so that our college may return to its true self--a clean, quiet place

for study, teaching and research.

一直听闻老舍先生的《骆驼祥子》很值得一看，可是一直都没有机会。今天，我终于读完了这本著作。

这故事是一个悲剧，彻彻底底的悲剧。一个曾经勤劳坚忍，有着自己目标的人最后却沦为了社会垃圾。从前的祥子善良淳朴，正直诚实，对生活有着像骆驼一般积极和坚韧。周围的人都是做一日和尚，敲一日钟，而祥子却不安于现状，他为了美好生活而努力，而奋斗，他宁愿冒着极大的风险去赚多一点的钱，来达到自己所想要的生活。他不断地追求，追求成功，追求幸福。然而即使是这样，也终究没有改变他最后的悲惨结局。

也许这才是现实，残酷、悲哀、无可奈何。理想和现实总是充满了矛盾，它们往往不能调和，然而它们却又同时存在。社会是现实的，它不会为了一个人的理想而改变，也不会是完美无瑕的。人们为了自己的理想不断奋斗，最终却不一定能够真正获得成功。就像祥子一样，他努力，就是为了寻求美好的生活，但是结局却是那样得悲惨。

对于骆驼祥子，我感到遗憾，感到惋惜，也感到无奈，但也感到敬佩，我佩服他从前的坚强，他的上进。然而他最终没能战胜自己，没能战胜社会，终究还是被打败了。也许是因为社会的极度黑暗，也许是因为个人的因素。不管怎样，环境对人的改变至多至少都起着不可忽视的作用。如果当时的社会治安好一点，祥子也许就能实现他的理想，也许就不会变成一具行尸走肉。人离不开社会，而社会又决定着人，如果无法处理好现实与理想、社会与自己的关系，很有可能就会失去原本的自我。

人是有思想的动物，应该有自己的理想和目标。但是要因人而异，因社会而异。如果总是无法实现理想，那么就有可能变成“祥子”，堕落、衰败，厌恶生活。毕竟能够一生都坚忍不拔的人是少数。追求本身就是一个不断改变的过程，然而这一过程会很复杂，人很容易失去自我，失去自我就会迷失方向，甚至堕落。

作品本生写道：“苦人的懒是努力而落了空的自然结果，苦人的耍刺儿含有一些公理。”又说：“人把自己从野兽中提拔出，可是到现在人还把自己的同类驱到野兽里去。祥子还在那文化之城，可是变成了走兽。一点也不是他自己的过错。”老舍正是从这样一种认识出发，怀着对于被侮辱与被损害者的深切同情，写下这个悲剧的。这就使这部作品具有激愤的控诉力量和强烈的批判精神，深深地烙上读者的心坎。

读罢这本书，我对祥子的评价为：祥子是一个经不住生活的考验，而失去生活的人。俗话说：“路慢慢之远兮，吾将上下之求索。”他为何不再寻求新的路，而成为社会的人渣，败类?他为何不做生活的主宰者，去自谋生活呢?我想，他也是害怕了，因为他是农民出身，他受不了生活一次次对他的打击，他放弃了。所以酿成了书中的人物一直走下坡路的原因后果啊!

明天会怎样?我不得而知。而现在我们唯一能做的，就是把握好今天。
