Dear Mr. Wang,

Thank you for a rapid response to our invitation. Enclosed you will find an outline of events to take place during International Week here at the University of Montana. I will also list a number of possible speaking engagements so that you can choose those things in which you are most interested. As far as topics are concerned, the topics for classroom visits are generally determined by the professor, but most professors are very flexible. We have approximately thirty-five faculty members that teach courses in Asian Studies, ranging from language and culture to history and economics.

Here is a tentative schedule:

Sunday, April 8th

10 am - Cultural Exhibition opens

12 am - International Festival begins with a speech by the university president and an introduction of visiting dignitaries

1-5 pm - Opportunity to visit festival, interact with student performers, taste foods

6 pm - Dinner with Director of Mansfield Center Phil West, Ambassador Mark Johnson, and staff of Mansfield Center

As you can see, there is tremendous interest in China here at the University of Montana. Please let me know if this outline suits your purpose, and if not, please dont hesitate to offer any suggestions for changes. We can arrange as many or as few speaking engagements as you have time for.

今天早上，我和妈妈早早地从床上溜下来，为的不仅仅是在堤上买到新鲜的蔬果，更是为了出来呼吸新鲜空气。

我和妈妈开始慢跑，尽情的呼吸新鲜空气，虽然我们来的很早，但是堤上早已有人在晨练了。

堤上的人真是做的事五花八门。有的在跟买菜的小贩讨价还价，有的在面对席家州大声的捶胸呐喊，有人在骑自行车。堤下已有不少勤劳的农民开始耕种，鸡开始鸣叫起来，这叫声似乎唤起了大自然的一切生机。

小草又开始生长了，花儿又绽放出美丽的笑脸；母鸡带着小鸡到席家州附近的草地觅食，鸭子成群的开始下水游泳，牛开始不停地甩这尾巴赶走讨厌的蚊子。大自然变得多么生机勃勃。

远处河东高耸的摩天轮在浓雾中若隐若现，雾像是一道白色的轻纱覆盖住了一切建筑，像是一个人间仙境。

天边那红色的朝霞开始亮了起来，起初是深红的然后逐渐变成了淡粉，最后变成了金黄，旭日慢慢向上升，一刹那天地突然亮起来了，雾渐渐淡了然后逐渐消失，周围的一切事物清晰而明亮。

这次晨练真实感悟颇多啊！

春游是观赏春天美丽景色的好机会。而这次春游是步行，目标是北山公园。听说那环境清幽，景色优美，是个放风筝的好去处啊！

今早，我们起程了。一走出校园，有一股清香从我们鼻子前飘过，是花香；同学们纷纷议论，“春姑娘在这撒过春的气息吗？”我们走过了一条条小路；我发现，天特别特别的蓝，鸟儿也特别活跃。我们的步伐特别稳健。我们来到柳湖花园了。

这真是人间仙境，不仅一幢幢高楼美，而且还无比壮观，花儿好像翩翩起舞的仙女们，鸟儿在空中高唱；“这有春天的足迹？”

过了一会儿，我们来到了北山公园，那的确很美，美不胜收啊！我和老师们急不可待地来到这极乐世界。仔细一看竹子虽然小，可又那么坚定；我们在那玩得满头大汗，也许，春天在北山公园停留的时间长，把美的不可说出的景色给了公园吧！

我们都在这玩，舍不得回去了。不得已还是踏上了回去的路。我们依依不舍。还想在这多停留片刻！

回到学校，美丽的景色还在我脑子中回想。

今天，我们来到了故宫。

the world. When the day comes, Christmas trees can be seen in many shops and

some products have the great discounts. One of the main reasons for people to

love Christmas is that they can get the great discounts from some products,

which saves them a lot of money. For American people, Christmas Day is the great

moment for the families to get together and enjoy the family hour, while for

some people they just treat it as the shopping day.

青青草地

六年中是老师倾注了心血，把我们从一个个年幼无知的孩子培养成为一名有知识，懂道理的少年。老师就是我们前进路上的导航。记得那是六年级的一次月考，我只考了九十二分，老师把我叫到了办公室，她拿着我们的卷子，面色严肃地对我说：“错在哪了?”我如实地回答着：“以为马虎，所以得数错了。”老师又语重心长地说：“孩子，今后道路你要自己走，马虎是学习上的大敌，不能因为马虎毁了前程。”我听了老师的话，不禁潸然泪下，老师为我擦去了眼泪，我又破涕为笑。

I am sorry to trouble you, but nobody would come into my mind to help me except you.

You know, I had planned this holiday for several years. A t last, my dream came true. You could imagine how excited I was. My mind was completely occupied with the holiday. I forgot to collect my laundry. I dont know if you can help me collect my laundry. I sent the laundry to the Johns. It is the one down the corner on St. Peters Street. You cant miss it, because the house is painted green-a big green house. I have got two pairs of trousers, three shirts, one T-shirt and a blanket. Call a taxi to send you home. I will pay you back when I am home.

My first stop is London. It is raining. The streets are very clean. How I wish I could have the chance to see the famous London fog. But someone told me that was already the history. One can only read things like that about London in books.

母亲节快到了，同学们给妈妈准备的礼物可谓是五花八门，有送手链的，送糖果的，而我，则要送妈妈一缕芬芳的爱。

说到“芬芳”这个词，大家一定会认为我要送康乃馨吧?事实上我要送妈妈一个特别的礼物——一个香包。

为什么要送香包呢?原因很简单，因为妈妈的包里总是塞满了厚厚的教科书，特别单调，我觉得妈妈的包里应该增添一些香味，这样，妈妈每次从包里拿出来的书都是香喷喷的，工作起来心情就更加美啦!

怎样让香包发出香味呢?我思考了很久，最后决定用橘子皮来帮忙。

首先，我把橘子皮平展开来，剪成一个大正方形，之后把它平均分成若干份，使每一块都是一个小小的正方形。然后我把一个保鲜袋平铺在窗台上，把橘子皮橙黄色的一面朝上，一块块整齐地摆在保鲜袋上面。就这么让太阳晒着，过了两天，等橘子皮稍稍有些卷起来，不那么平整时，就收起来了。

至于那个香包的袋子，我费了不少脑筋。我把家里一些没用的布收集起来，缝成一个漂亮的小袋子，再用丝线在上面绣些花纹，最后挂上流苏，香包的袋子就完成了。

我把橘子皮塞进袋子里面，香包顿时散发出一股清香，虽然不如香水那么馥郁，也不如花香那么芬芳，却包含着我对妈妈浓浓的爱。看着那个香包在阳光下熠熠生辉，我感到十分满意。

妈妈，母亲节快乐!让我送您一缕芬芳，伴您度过每一个明媚的日子。

My favorite animal is pandas. He name is Beibei, he is blak and white. I like Beibei very much, becavse he is so cute, and he is kind of shy. Beibei form the China. He is five years old. The Lantern Festival falls on the 15th day of the 1st lunar month, usually

in February or March in the Gregorian calendar. As early as the Western Han

Dynasty (206 BC-AD 25), it had become a festival with great significance.

This days important activity is watching lanterns. Throughout the Han

Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220), Buddhism flourished in China. One emperor heard that

Buddhist monks would watch sarira, or remains from the cremation of Buddhas

body, and light lanterns to worship Buddha on the 15th day of the 1st lunar

month, so he ordered to light lanterns in the imperial palace and temples to

show respect to Buddha on this day. Later, the Buddhist rite developed into a

grand festival among common people and its influence expanded from the Central

Plains to the whole of China.

Till today, the lantern festival is still held each year around the

country. Lanterns of various shapes and sizes are hung in the streets,

attracting countless visitors. Children will hold self-made or bought lanterns

to stroll with on the streets, extremely excited. "Guessing lantern riddles"is

an essential part of the Festival.

Lantern owners write riddles on a piece of paper and post them on the

lanterns. If visitors have solutions to the riddles, they can pull the paper out

and go to the lantern owners to check their answer. If they are right, they will

get a little gift. The activity emerged during peoples enjoyment of lanterns in

the Song Dynasty (960-1279). As riddle guessing is interesting and full of

wisdom, it has become popular among all social strata.

People will eat yuanxiao, or rice dumplings, on this day, so it is also

called the "Yuanxiao Festival."Yuanxiao also has another name, tangyuan. It is

small dumpling balls made of glutinous rice flour with rose petals, sesame, bean

paste, jujube paste, walnut meat, dried fruit, sugar and edible oil as filling.

Tangyuan can be boiled, fried or steamed. It tastes sweet and delicious. What’s

more, tangyuan in Chinese has a similar pronunciation with "tuanyuan”, meaning

reunion. So people eat them to denote union, harmony and happiness for the

family.

In the daytime of the Festival, performances such as a dragon lantern

dance, a lion dance, a land boat dance, a yangge dance, walking on stilts and

beating drums while dancing will be staged. On the night, except for magnificent

lanterns, fireworks form a beautiful scene. Most families spare some fireworks

from the Spring Festival and let them off in the Lantern Festival. Some local

governments will even organize a fireworks party. On the night when the first

full moon enters the New Year, people become really intoxicated by the imposing

fireworks and bright moon in the sky.

Dear Mr. Blake,

Thank you for informing us your new house address. It is fantastic that you have at last a house of your own, which, as explained, is located in a sea site city. I can imaginer that you are now enjoying your life and work, and you can entertain yourselves in such a big house.

When I told the news to Peter Li, James Wang and Nancy Zhang, the girl who always wears a long hair, and went to Beijing with us last year, they all wish you to send us some pictures of your new house. We hope that when we go on errand in America next year, we can pay a visit to your family. Then we are sure to have a nice gathering.

This morning, Peter and I went to an art gallery to pick up an oil painting with a beauty spot of China’s southern part as a token of our hearty congratulations. We hope it can add up to your decorations wherever you like, and we also wish you will like it.

难忘的一课让我明白了：不要被过去的成绩所迷惑，过去的已经过去了。

记得五年级第一学期的期末考试时，我心中一直在想：我肯定会拿第一，上学期不也是我吗？不一会儿，轻松答完试卷，看看周围的同学，他们还在哗哗地写着，我心中不由得暗喜。可是自傲使我失败了。试卷发下时，我目瞪口呆，后悔不以。看着试卷，我无话可说，那可是都不应该错的呀！此时的我多么想大哭一场，可是，没人理我。是呀！我能怨谁？只能怨我自己太骄傲了。那年寒假，是我五年来最难过的一个假期，而给我带来难过的不是他人，是我……你知道吗？那学期是我五年来唯独没拿到三好生的一学期，看着别人手里捧着“三好学生”奖状，我觉得那三好生奖状本来不是不属于我的，也不是跟我无缘，而是我——一不小心，一失手，将它丢得无影无踪。

那段日子，我一直在慢慢地走着，默默地沉受、斗争，那段日子，便成了我终生难忘的日子，因为它为我上了难忘的一课。那一课，我听了很长很长的时间，我知道了是我的骄傲使我的成绩下降。而张宾，原来跟我是并列第一的他，仍然稳定不动，像泰山一样，压着那个第一名。我连前十名都没有拿到，跟他这个男生相比，我惭愧极了，唉……

我心里十分不快，便把事情告诉了妈妈。妈妈知道了事情的经过，语重心长地看着我说：“做错了事情首先要说对不起，然后你要拿出行动来取得阳阳的谅解。都是好朋友，你不能任性。”我听了妈妈的话，立刻回房打开储蓄罐，直奔街了。

第二天一大早，我拿着新买的玩具来到她家，鼓起勇气对她说：“对不起，昨天我不是故意弄坏你的玩具，请你原谅我。”说着，我把玩具递到她的手里。

阳阳看着我也红着脸说：“其实我也有错，不应该为了一个玩具而向你发火，请你原谅。”说完，我们俩互相握着对方的手，用十分真诚的目光望着对方，情不自禁地笑了。

经历了这场小风波，我们之间的感情反而更浓厚了。我相信，好朋友之间只要互相理解和体谅，就会收获更多的友谊。

他或许还记得那个夜晚，那个哭到连脸盆都装不下的夜晚……

2023年5月10日晚上九点，哥哥林辰和弟弟林敏在消防局食堂里吃饭。“你为什么来这工作?”弟弟吼道，“你把消防工作看成什么了?找不到工作就来这混口饭吃?”哥哥显得有些害怕，连忙投降：“好啦!邓布利多老哥曾说，人常常在对的事和容易的事之间做选择，我就混一个月工资而已!”“和你说话我饭都吃不下了!”林敏放下餐具，将嘴里的食物也吐了出来。“唉!你这人怎么……”哥哥无奈地摇头苦笑。

林辰语音未落，广播放出一则消息：“请六队立马前往909大厦，那里发生了一场8级火灾!”林辰一下子蒙了，自己第一次救火吗?林敏用力打了林辰一巴掌，“你干吗?还在犹豫什么?”还没等林辰反应过来，其他的消防队员已经像风一样飞奔现场，指挥官也早早在那儿等待了。“吵什么吵?!”指挥官凶得像一头猛狮。三车人立马从车上拉出水管，拉开水闸，水就像大象鼻子喷水一样。林辰不知所措地站在那里，像一个木偶一样。“走啊!去救人”!林敏冲他喊道。“哦，好的!”于是，两兄弟冲进了火场，将困在火海里的人一个一个救了出来。

“应该是救完了!”两兄弟互相比了个大拇指。忽然，一个妇女发了疯似的跑了过来，边跑边喊：“救救我的孩子吧!他在九楼904!”林辰却回答：“对不起，这位女士，现在现场的火势还在蔓延，估计等我们上去，也是来不及了!”

“你是不是人?”林敏推了他一把，冲进火场。但却被浓烟呛得晕了过去……一个熟悉的身影冲了上去，抱着孩子跳了下来。孩子安然无恙，他却壮烈牺牲了!

第二天，林敏去参加了哥哥的葬礼。想起之前哥哥在饭堂说的那句话，情难自控，泪如雨下地说道：“你在容易和正确的事中，选择了正确的事!你把人民的性命放在首位，你是个真正的英雄，我为你感到骄傲!”

一大早，我就起了床，叫醒一旁正在熟睡的妈妈，准备下楼去打羽毛球，妈妈不想去，但经不住我的一阵死缠烂打，妈妈只好舍命陪君子。

到了楼下，我们找了一块平坦的地方打起了羽毛球，只见妈妈把羽毛球向上方轻轻一抛，然后用力向上方打去，球就像离弦的箭似的飞了出去。妈妈的球忽左忽右，忽上忽下，累得我气喘吁吁。满头大汗，可是连一个球也没接住。哎！

球拍老是不听话，不停地掉，后来，我的手上出了不少汗，球拍才像一个听话的孩子，竟然不掉了。可是球还是不听我的话，不是球落地就是打到了我的手。慢慢的，我的动作熟练了许多，终于可以接住几个球了。“不好”妈妈把球打了过来，我慌忙去接球，可是却扑了空，球飞走了，我却撞到了墙上，我躺在地上，哭笑不得。妈妈吓坏了，一脸的紧张，快步跑过来，看到我平安无事，这才放下心来。

‘不行’我不能让妈妈轻易接住我的球，我使出了我的杀手锏——声东击西法。我眼睛死死盯着前方，好像前方发生了什么事情，妈妈连忙扭头去看，就在她扭头的一瞬间，我迅速拿起球拍，给妈妈发了一个球，本想打她一个措手不及，可是我万万没想到，由于球拍抛得太高，球非但没飞出去，而是直直地落下来，重重地打在我的左眼上，好疼啊！

经过两次惨痛的皮肉之苦，慢慢的我掌握了打羽毛球的要领，也能和妈妈打上你个回合，我太高兴了。

经过这次打羽毛球，我明白了一个道理：世上无难事，只怕有心人。

随着科技的进步，人们生活水平的提高，看电视再不像以前那样奢侈，看电视成为人们很平常娱乐活动，而且我们能在电视里学到很多的东西，这不，我与我的家人看着电视就讨论起来了。

这天，爸爸与奶奶在沙发上看电视，我和妈妈在一旁玩电脑。爸爸看着一部最近非常火的抗日电视剧《永不磨灭的番号》。这部电视剧我爸爸很喜欢看，翻来覆去看了好几遍。这部电视剧人物形象刻画地十分生动，主角就是外号李大本事的抗日英雄，带着他的几个兄弟，创建了九纵独立团，为了一个番号，奋战到死，最后没有一个幸存。他们把花名册交给一个叫小三子的小孩，想让他们留个后，所以骗他说是重要情报，让他跑到司令部。最后，小三子活了下来。看到这时，我爸爸的眼泪在眼眶里直打转，最后终于控制不住。流淌下来了。

妈妈也感慨万分，现在的人，根本没有几个爱国的，更别说去回忆以前那些烈士，更有甚者，想把广州的烈士陵园拆了盖房子！真是丧尽天良，没有那些英雄的付出，我们怎么能过上今天的幸福生活，说不定我们的祖先早就当了战俘，更别说有我们现在的幸福生活。我们应该在清明节去祭拜烈士，而不是拆了他们的墓，睡在那上面，你能安稳吗？敢问那些人，你的祖先没有经过抗日战争吗？如果听到你这句话，不知道在天之灵会不会安息呢？

我们应该好好珍惜现在的幸福生活，居安思危，时时刻刻都不能忘记那些烈士为我们做出的贡献。

My English teacher is Miss Hou, all the students like her so much. I am one of them, Miss Hou is the one I adore, she is so patient and kind to me. When I have question about English, she is pleased to explain the question, even though I still have question, she keeps answer them until I understand. Miss Hou is a great teacher.

我的英语老师是候老师，所有的学生都很喜欢她。我是其中的一员，侯老师是我崇拜的一个人，她很有耐心，对我很友好。当我对英语有问题时，她很乐意去解释，即使我还有问题，她一直在回答，知道我弄懂。侯老师是一位好老师。

一阵金光向我射来，一种奇怪的声音响起：请做出您最后的选择！我坚定的说，看看我们的2310年的学校，拜托了！到了，啊，不会吧。这到底在什么地方啊。我眼前呈现的是一个个整齐的方块。我摁了一个。“呼”一阵风似的我果然到了我的学校那里的保安亭不再有保安了，只有一个机器人。他是识别我们有没有录入校级点名册，你来了点名册上自动会帮你勾画上。一进去就是一个电梯，只要你说出你要去的班级或场地你就可以到达了。我说了一声“五一班”我果然到了我们班。教室不会按有许多按钮，只要你说“打扫教室”教室几秒钟就变干净整齐了。我一进教室就看见了一个“机器人老师”，他正在给我们讲课呢！我们听得津津有味，“机器人老师”是在电脑上给我们上课和考试。考试的时候你做完了就可以直接按提交，成绩一秒钟就出现了，并且还有错题分析哟！对于我们来说“机器人老师”最大的特点是不会给我们布置太多作业，大部分都是在电脑上完成的，所以那时的我们会越来越喜欢写作业哟！
