乐清的文人是层出不穷的，比如王十朋，翁卷，南怀瑾等。就说王十朋吧！王十朋，字龟龄，号梅溪，主要作品有《梅溪集》，是乐清第一位状元。王十朋当年到临安赶考，路过永嘉府时，既想少花钱又想找个安静的地方，便到瓯江的江心屿上中川寺投宿。寺里方丈有势利眼，一见到王十朋衣衫破旧，心中先是有几分不快。王十朋作揖说：“我是乐清县赴考的举子，乞求一宿。”方丈胸中有点墨水，听说是文士相求也不便拒绝，便叫王十朋补壁。王十朋听了，挥手一笔，写道：“云朝朝朝朝朝朝朝朝散，潮长长长长长长长长消。”方丈一看，无法读通，十分气恼地说：“我看你冒充斯文，你平生认过几个字！”王十朋心里好笑，忙说：“师父莫怒，听我读来，云，朝朝，朝朝朝，朝朝朝散；潮，长长，长长长，长长长消。老和尚上前一看，没地方可以挑剔的，只得让王十朋让进了榻房。

乐清的水是“天马行空”的，是自由的，也是有灵性的。虽然比不上桂林那如明镜一般的湖水，但是，我们这里的雁荡山大龙湫瀑布，也算是清澈的了。大龙湫就像一条条要下水的蛟龙一般，如离弦之剑一般的速度从山顶倾泻而下，时不时还溅起几米高的浪花，正所谓：“飞流直下三千尺”啊！

乐清的特产更是美味无比，芝麻酥用芝麻、白砂糖、油放在锅里炒出来的，用“色香味俱全”来形容它再贴切不过了。当然，最有特色的小吃当属“灯盏糕”了，用萝卜丝、鸡蛋等作为馅，外面一层面粉团，放在油锅中炸，老的脆，嫩的香，让人一看就嘴馋。如果你来乐清玩，可一定不能错过它哦！

乐清的民俗也有别具一格之处。就像端午节前几个月人们就开始练习划龙舟，家家户户都忙着包粽子，粽子香飘十里。最重要的是当地人民勤劳朴素，热情好客的，只要你来到这里，我们会做最高档的特色菜给你们享用，就算你吃不饱，也会被当地人民的热情给灌饱的。

这就是我的家乡——乐清。

Once Chairman Mao said one is never too old to learn, his famous words inspire people to keep learning all their lives. Since we are small, we study at school, then we have to learn until we are at college, after graduate from college, we finish our education in the school.

Then the new stage comes, we start to work, making money, learning knowledge seems unnecessary to us.

This is totally wrong, we learn all the time, even we are out of school, we have lessons from life.

当我们还小的时候，我们在学校学习，然后直到大学前，我们都要学习，大学毕业后，我们完成了在学校的学习。然后新的阶段到来，我们开始工作，挣钱，学习知识似乎不必要了。

这是完全错误的，我们一直学习，即使不在学校，我们学习生活。生活是一个大主题，我们不得不一直学习。我们要处理麻烦，学着交朋友和接受失败。所有的这些东西我们都不会在学校学到，我们必须自己学习，即是学生也是老师。如果你觉得你出了学校后就完成了学习，你的思想就很狭隘了。

When asked about their opinion of career and family, people always respond differently. Some people deem it more important to pursue their career, while there are always other people who argue that family should be the number one in one’s life.

It goes without any question that career plays a key role in our life. In the very first place, career can give us an aim to live on. Without career, much of our living time will be certainly wasted. What’s more, career can provide us with a means to live on. Most of the people earn their income from a job. On the other hand, family is also an indispensable part of life, as many people will admit. Family is always regarded as a place where we can escape from troubles in life. In my opinion, career and family are not in opposition to each other. Rather, they can enhance each other so that one’s life can become better and better. Therefore, it’s not a choice between right and wrong, but one between ideal and practical.

Once， when I was a teenager， my father and I were standing in line to buy tickets for the circus. Finally， there was only one family between us and the ticket counter.

This family made a big impression on me. There were eight children， all probably under the age of 12. You could tell they didnt have a lot of money.

Their clothes were not expensive， but they were clean. The children were well-behaved， all of them standing in line， two-by-two behind their parents， holding hands. They were excitedly jabbering about the clowns， elephants， and other acts they would see that night.

One could sense they had never been to the circus before. It promised to be a highlight of their young lives. The father and mother were at the head of the pack， standing proud as could be.

The mother was holding her husbands hand， looking up at him as if to say， "Youre my knight in shining armor."

He was smiling and basking in pride， looking back at her as if to reply， "You got that right."

The ticket lady asked the father how many tickets he wanted. He proudly responded， "Please let me buy eight childrens tickets and two adult tickets so I can take my family to the circus."

The ticket lady quoted the price. The mans wife let go of his hand， her head dropped， and his lip began to quiver. The father leaned a little closer and asked， "How much did you say?"

The ticket lady again quoted the price. The man didnt have enough money.

How was he supposed to turn and tell his eight kids that he didn‘t have enough money to take them to the circus? Seeing what was going on， my dad put his hand in his pocket， pulled out a $20 bill and dropped it on the ground. (We were not wealthy in any sense of the word!)

I always dream of becoming a teacher, because teaching is the most glorious project in the world. Nothing is more important than education to a nation. Im honored to devote myself to education.

我一直梦想成为一名教师，因为教师是世界上最光荣的职业。对于一个国家来说没有什么比教育更重要。我很荣幸能为教育献身。

As far as I know, a teacher can be described as a candle. Hes very kind-hearted and generous; Hes wise and intelligent; Hes diligent and hardworking. He has the willingness to help others, so people always speak highly of teachers.
