My favorite book is (Italian: Cuore). This is a diary written by an Italian boy Enrico. The diary is about his life and study. I am enjoying my newfound freedom. Stay up until dawn talking about my ideals and ambitions with my dorms regular bull session buddies. Sleep in until the afternoon on a light class day. Explore the local town or suburbs with one or two of my new friends.

I even start to think about my future. Going to college is as much about finding out who am I as it is about getting the degree.

我们说的真善美，其实应该是真、善、美，它们应该是人性的几个正面，一个人必须具备的几个素质，而这几个素质也应该是相互融合的。它们使一个人不断向上，不断成长，不断为社会做贡献，尤其是青少年。真善美的内涵很丰富，我觉得，一个人要具备真善美，应该从珍惜生命开始，因为生命是一切的来源。

当人们拥有健康的身体时总以为，生命是必然的，甚至有些人还觉得自己的生命缺少乐趣，或不如别人的精彩，从而蓄意破坏它，摧毁它。然而，每每遇上重大灾难或疾病，或是年龄增大，又或是最亲爱的人生命垂危的时候，他们就会感受到生命的可贵。那时，他们往往会后悔在身体健康时为什么不好好珍惜，希望生命可以重来，改掉所有错误的做法，让生命可以光彩夺目。然而，这是不可能的。因为，生命只有一次。

在语文学习中我们知道，一只小飞蛾被捉住时会拼命挣扎，努力求生;一颗香瓜籽掉在砖石的夹缝中，也会顽强生长，哪怕只活了几天;五颜六色的小花，在冷风冷雨中从小草的掩盖下冒出了头来，散发出夺目的光彩……动物和植物那么热爱生命，从不放弃，难道我们自称是地球主宰的人类就不应该那样做吗?

对比之下，贪图玩乐，荒废学业;不顾危害，吸烟醉酒;一时蒙塞，吸毒自杀;失去理智，互相打杀;不顾后果，破坏环境……这一切，不是连动植物都比不上吗?我们又凭什么自称是地球的主宰呢?

不管是富裕还是贫穷，不管是身体健康还是不幸残疾，生命都可以是多姿多彩的。不是吗?张海迪、杏林子、海伦?凯勒、尹小星叔叔、名叫安静的小盲童……在课内学到的，在课外听到、看到的，国内的，国外的，过去的涌现，现在生活着的，他们不都遇上了让人难以接受的经历吗?但是他们不都取得了非凡的成就，让生命焕发出夺目的光彩吗?靠的是什么?是永不放弃的精神，对困苦遭遇无限的宽容，和对美的细心感受。

我的家乡，虽说不是什么大城市，可我的家乡——温岭市一个很美的地方，有不少外国人也来到我的家乡玩过。我的母校城西小学是一座美丽的校园，每天早晨都会有琅琅的读书声传进到你的耳朵。

家乡有一个有名的湖泊—九龙湖。它虽然没有西湖那么有名，可比西湖热闹多，每次国庆节，我们全家和我的好朋友一起去九龙湖烧烤，大家在一起有说有笑。玩累了就坐在椅子上欣赏湖面上的风景。

还有一个地方，它就是银泰城，里面有数不尽的商品，刚进门口就会感觉像是到了天堂。银泰城有时会搞一个活动。

我的家乡—温岭是天堂。家乡的风景真没，但是比不过人的心灵美。

记得有一次，外婆来我家过生日，村里人知道后，纷纷跑过来给外婆送祝福，有一个外地人特地买了礼物给外婆，当外婆向他道谢时，他便说：“老太太，您年级大了，这礼物送给您，祝您身体健康、外事如意!”说完，转身就走，外婆自言自语：“这小伙子真有趣，送一句祝福就行了，还送什么礼物，乱花钱。”我听了，知道我I阿婆嘴上这么说，其实心里已经觉得很欣慰了。

第二天，我和朋友去玩，回家的路上，我看到了那个外地人坐在家门口画画。我又去打听那个外地人的生活处境，终于在一个烧烤摊上打听到他姓王，今年三十一岁，家中靠他和他妻子打工赚钱，他没有工作，只有靠画画来赚钱。

我爱我的家乡!

随后，映入我们眼帘的家乡焕然一新、与以前截然不同：像蜘蛛网一般的小路一尘不染，整个街的空气新鲜可佳。但香味更诱人的却要数巷里的饭店，每一碟菜都做得香味扑鼻。路边井然有序地摆放着交通工具，旁边的大树茂密蓬壮，青翠欲滴。树上鸟语花香，成群结队的鸟儿在上面建巢。再去瞧瞧家乡的公园：山光水色、今非昔比，美不胜收，群蝶围花舞。花坛里百花争艳。这一切简直是人间天堂!

接着，我好奇地聆听爷爷讲述旧时的家乡：以前人们无论想要到多远的地方，都是用步行，当然就没有交通工具。而且当时大街小巷也有一两家饭店，还是装修非常简陋的。房子呢?当然不比现在的高楼大厦，全部都是小平屋……

听了爷爷的阐述，我有好奇地询问爷爷，为什么家乡会有这么大的变化。爷爷语重心长地说道：“那都是党的功劳1自从中国统一后，共产党就到全国各地帮忙建设：植树造林，盖楼，生产交通工具……

哇，听着听着，我不禁感叹道：“共产党真不愧为人民子弟兵呀!”

My Home Town我的家乡My home town is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice. But in the old days it was a poor and backward little town. Many people had no work. They lived a hard life. In 1949 my hometown was liberated. Since then great changes have taken place there. The streets have been widened. Factories, schools, hospitals, cinemas and theatres have sprung up one after another. The life of the people is greatly improved. I love my hometown. All the more I love its people. They are working hard so as to make it still richer and more beautiful.

The world is not only hungry,but also thirsty for water. This may seem strange to you, since nearly 75 % of the earths surface is covered with water. But about 97% of this huge amount is sea water, or salt water. Man can only drink and use the other 3% -- the fresh water that comes from rivers, lakes,underground, and other sources. And we cannot even use all of that, because some of it is in the form of icebergs and glaciers. Even worse, some of it has been polluted.

However, as things stand today, this small amount of fresh water, which is constantly being replaced by rainfall, is still enough for us. But our need for water is increasing rapidly-- almost day by day. Only if we take steps to deal with this problem now can we avoid a severe worldwide water shortage later on. A limited water supply would have a bad effect on agriculture and industry. Let me give you just one small exampie of how necessary water is to industry. Did you know that to produce a single ton of steel, it takes about 91, 000 liters of water?

We all have to learn how to stop wasting our precious water. One of the first steps we should take is to develop ways of reusing it. Experiments have already been done in this field, but only on a small scale.

那声音是我的。那老头儿是我的父亲。父亲是个哑巴。直到长到二十几岁的今天，我才有勇气把自己的声音放在父亲的豆腐车上，替换下他手里摇了几十年的铜铃铛。

两三岁的我就懂得了有一个哑巴父亲是多么的屈辱，因此我从小就恨他。当我看到有的小孩儿被大人使唤着过来买豆腐不给钱就跑，父亲伸直脖子也喊不出声的时候，我不会像大哥哥一样追上那孩子揍两拳，我伤心地看着那情景，不吱一声，我不恨那孩子，只恨父亲是个哑巴，、。尽管我的两个哥哥每次帮我疏小辫都疼得我龇牙咧嘴，我也还是坚持不再让父亲给我扎小辫了。我一直冷冷地拒绝着我的父亲。妈妈去世的时候就没有留下大幅遗像，只有她出嫁前和邻居阿姨的一张合影，黑白的二寸照片，父亲被我冷淡的时候就翻过支架方镜的背面看妈妈的照片，直看到必须做活儿了，才默默地离开。

我要好好念书，上大学，。离开这个人人都知道我父亲是个哑巴的小村子!这是当时我最大的愿望。不知道父亲的豆腐坊里又换了几根新磨杆，不知道冬来夏至那摸得没了沿锋的铜铃铛响过多少村村寨寨……只知道仇恨般地对待自己，发疯地读书。
