The quality of human life has improved greatly over the past few centuries, but Earth is being harmed more and more by human activity. As we develop our technology, we demand more from our planet. Eventually, this will harm people as well.

Our planet gives us everything we need, but natural resources are not endless. Strip mining devastates whole regions, leaving bare and useless ground. Deforestation removes old growth trees that cant be replaced. Too much fishing may harm fish populations to the point where they cant recover. We are too careless in taking what we want without giving anything back.

People need to respect the Earth and try to preserve it. If we dont, what kind of future will we have?

When students go into college, they need to join in the group, because there is no way for them to live alone. They have new classmates and roommates. How to fit in the group is the main problem for them to solve. A successful student can handle it well.

To fit in the group, the students must have the collective consciousness. As most students are only child in the family, so they don’t know how to get along well with their roommates. 走进老家，最引人注目的是大马路，还有那一座座入人眼帘的房屋，芬香扑鼻的桂花香让我产生了无限的遐想。家乡的变化真是说也说不完，道也道不尽，就从眼前的开始吧!以前通往我老家的路都是土路，现在与以往不同了，现在的是宽敞的水泥路，开车来往也方便了许多，以前的土路，开车进来就出不去，遇到下雨天，有时泥水还会溅你一身!再说说眼前的房屋吧!以前房屋的墙都是土墙，平房，现在家家都盖起了两层楼房，那一座座楼房白白的墙壁，黄黄的水泥瓦，太阳一照，发出耀眼的光芒。再说说水吧!以前爷爷奶奶们都要调担着水桶去很远的井里去打水，现在可不一样了，家家都通了自来水，用水就方便多了，洗衣服也不需要去河边了。有些上了年纪的爷爷奶奶身体不好，儿女也不在身边照顾他们，如果自己担不动，只能让旁边的邻居帮忙，现在爷爷奶奶只需要一伸手就能用到水，真是太方便了。

路好了，家乡的小汽车也逐渐多了，小卡车，农家车，还有家有小轿车一辆接着一辆的奔忙在村村通公路上，发出欢畅的歌声。家乡的变化真大啊!一个个展现在我们面前，每一处处显示着祖国政策对农民的优惠，都体现着现代农村人的新面貌。

今年是新中国成立66周年!十月一日这天，我们全家早早的坐在电视机旁等待观看盛世大阅兵。

转眼就到春节了，我天天盼天天盼终于盼到这一天了，因为过春节爸爸妈妈不但给我买衣服还会给我压岁钱。

一年一度的春节终于到来了，平时我都是睡到很晚才起来，这一大清早的就是鞭炮声不断，想多睡一会都不行，这时候我的老叔和老婶在外地赶了回来，一进屋看就叫我小懒虫起床了，老婶笑着说正好看看老婶给你买的衣服合不合身，说了从兜里给我拿出了今年最流行的粉色连衣裙，我高兴坏了，连忙说谢谢婶子，老婶说这孩子和我你还客气什么，我告诉的传上了，不大不小正好。老叔看到我穿上新衣服说看看这才是我家的公主，模样长的好在配上新衣服太漂亮了。妈妈在一旁说不用年年都给她买，去年的还能穿那，我撅着小嘴不高兴的说;妈妈好讨厌啊，大家都笑着说看看把小公主惹不高兴了吧。到了吃早饭的时间了，妈妈说今天过年，我给你们下厨房大家想吃什么随便的点，我负责给你们做厨师。我连忙说我点一个焦炒，在来一个炸春卷，爸爸说把我昨天买的那条大鲤鱼炖上，叔叔和婶子说;都是自己家人不用做太多，吃不了还浪费。妈妈笑着说这不过来了大家凑到一起热闹多做几个菜，随便让你们尝尝我的手艺。叔叔说我可是好几年都没吃到嫂子做的菜了。我把爸爸事先给我买好的鞭炮拿了出来，拉着叔叔的手让叔叔帮我放鞭炮。叔叔说;老师在学校教没教你们如何放鞭炮啊?我说;老师说了放鞭炮要大人陪着，所以我才找叔叔陪着我啊。叔叔摸着我的头说就知道我家公主最乖了。放完了鞭炮妈妈叫我们吃饭了，大家酒桌上端着酒杯彼此说着新春的祝福，老婶一直往我碗里夹着我最爱吃的菜，整个饭桌上热闹极了，我最喜欢这种场面了。晚上八点到了晚会的时候我和妈妈准时守着电视，我最喜欢的演员赵本山，郭德纲，巩汉林，潘长江，还有主持人朱军和董卿等等他们的演出很有笑点，逗得我和妈妈笑个不停。叔叔和爸爸他们在一边玩着扑克牌也是玩的很热闹，春节的晚上大家都显得格外兴奋一晚上都没睡觉。

春节都过去好几天了，可是大年三十晚上热闹的情景还是时常浮现在我的脑海里。

I was born and grew up in the city, and Im very affectionate to it. It rains a lot, but the climate is very mild, neither too cold nor too hot throughout the year. It is small and not very prosperous, but people there are warm-hearted and straightforward. The life pace there is slow and peaceful. Its a good place for spending hot summer days.
