游神是潮汕地区一项隆重的民俗活动，俗称“营老爷”（即抬着神像巡游），抬着的神像一般是“关帝君”等。各个村子的规模、时间都各不相同。记得小时侯，每年农历正月廿七，我都会去外婆的出生地——芦溪看游神，如今长大了，倒没机会去了。

我的家乡——潮汕地区有着道不尽的独特文化，她以她自身的民俗风情，秉承着“海纳百川，自强不息”的精神，正向全世界展示着她独特的魅力。

我的家乡是靠近资江的一个小镇，她有个了不起的名字，安化东坪，听说这还是一个皇帝的名字呢！

我的家乡有许多美丽的风景，比如像十八拐公园，从山脚到山顶，都是打着拐儿上去的，一共有十八个拐，她的名字就是这样来的，她的顶上还有许多供游人休息的亭子，古色古香，她的最顶上还有一座宝塔，登上宝塔的最高层，整座山的美景尽收眼底，因为她别具一格，所以吸引了不少游客前来参观游览。还有月形山公园，整座山都是郁郁葱葱的树林，漫漫在林间小路上，从树林中不时传来几声鸟叫，使人听了感到心旷神怡。

我的家乡有一条河，名叫资江河，上游下游各一座桥，现在正在修建资江二桥，晚上，漫步在沿河大道，路旁一盏盏的路灯更为东坪的风景增添了色彩。还有，现在正在修建低水坝电站，估计明年就能投入使用了。

我的家乡一年四季，景色怡人。春天，农民伯伯在田里忙着播种，路旁的树木抽出了枝条，小草也长出了新芽，万物复苏，大地也恢复了它往日的生机，可爱的小燕子也从南方飞回来了；夏天，烈日炎炎，滚烫的太阳似乎要把大地烤焦，知了在树上不停地叫着：“热死了，热死了。”这时候，资江便成了天然的游泳场，许多小朋友在爸爸妈妈的带领下，来到资江，在水里嬉戏、打闹。

秋天，田里金浪翻滚，放眼望去，如同置身于金色的海洋之中，农民伯伯正的忙着收割稻子，果园里，红通通的苹果挂满了枝头，树妈妈乐得笑弯了腰，一个个黄澄澄的橘子，像一个个调皮的孩子，藏在绿叶之中，秋天，正是菊花盛开的季节，你看：公园里，菊花开得正烂漫呢，白的似雪，红的像火，黄的似金，有的菊花像一个婴儿的头那儿大，有的又像一个小姑娘的卷发，秋天真美啊！

冬天，大雪纷飞，整个世界都变成了银白色，这时，正是小朋友们打雪仗，堆雪人的好时机，你们看，小朋友们穿着棉袄，围着围巾，戴着帽子，正在打雪仗呢，还有几个小朋友在一旁堆雪人，玩得真高兴啊！

我的家乡还是羽毛球世界冠军的摇篮呢，从这里走出去的世界冠军有：唐九红、龚智超、龚睿娜等，现在，连国家的领导也有几个是我们安化的，我们安化真是人杰地灵，人才辈出啊！

With the rapid development of the society, many things around our life are changed. Personally speaking, my hometown has changed a lot.

When I was a child, there was only one black and white TV set in our village. And I don’t know what’s computer. I often went to school on foot. What’s more, in summer, we had to use hand-made fans to make our temperature down. If I wanted to connect with the distant friends or relatives,  the most convenient way is writing letters, which may lost on the way or take a lot of time to reach the destination.

However, nowadays, there are four color televisons in my home and most people have their own computers. And now cars are seen everywhere. In addition, most houses have airconditioning, which can cool the whole house quickly. With the development of cell phone, people can reach each other in a second. They can talk or see each other through cell phone.

As time passes, my hometown has change a lot thanks to the social development. I believe there will be much more changes in the future.

The happiest memory in my childhood was making snowman with my friends. As

I was a little boy, I always went out with my friends to make snowmen and play

with snow when it snowed heavily. We divided ourselves into several groups, two

or three people in each group. Then, we began to make our own snowman. We used

buttons to be snowmans eyes and carrots for its nose. After making our snowman,

we compared ours with others’ to decide whose snowman is the best. Sometimes, we

wrapped our scarfs around snowmen or put our caps on their head, so as to make

our snowman more beautiful. The last time I making a snowman was when I was in

university. But it snowed rarely these years. Thus, making snowman has become
