It is reported that ten big cities in China are being ranked among the top twenty cities with the highest pollution index in the world. This means it is high time we did something to bring the situation under control.Many factors are contributing to the deteriorating situation: industrial wastes pumped into the air， the lakes and rivers; a increasing number of automobiles crowding into the streets; the widespread use of plastic bags etc.

To my view， stiffer laws and regulations must be implemented to check pollution. Industries that release wastes without permission should be heavily fined. Cars should be equipped to minimize the exhaust they release into the air. And the use of plastic bags and disposable meal boxes should be banned. What’s more， the media should play an important role in implanting a sense of environmental consciousness into people’s mind. 也许在大家的眼中，医生是一个和蔼可亲、一丝不苟、以救人为荣的形象。但是在新文化运动这个时期，医生似乎可不是什么好惹的。

于是，在中央的号召下，全国各地纷纷成立了各种名目的尊孔复古的组织，整个就只差一个孔子大学了。这时，复古的逆流看似浩浩荡荡。然而在经历了辛亥革命后，民主思潮得到了传播，老百姓可没有当初那么好糊弄了。许多走在时代前面的知识分子在文化思想领域以笔为枪，掀起了一场新的斗争，主要人物有陈独秀，鲁迅，李大钊等。

当时，陈独秀是第一个吹响号角的人，可是，光靠他一本《新青年》有什么用呢？再厉害也不过一个小小的阵地而已，要想成功，基地可是必须。

新文化运动的活动基地是北京大学，而校长是蔡元培。当然，他的身份绝对不会只是一个“校长”这么简单，毫不夸张的说，蔡元培之于北大，甚至是中国教育就相当于华盛顿于美国，毛主席于新中国。

那时的北大，与其说这是一所大学倒不如说是一座衙门，校长更是享受内阁大臣的待遇，校园里一片乌烟瘴气。蔡元培到任后见如此情况，首先认为必须确立北大的办学方针，为了达到教学目的还进行了一系列的行动。最终成功。

有了基地和阵地，新文化运动便如火如荼的展开了。其掀起的时候，恰值俄国爆发了十月革命，在革命后的第三天，即1917年11月10日，后来随着俄国革命形势的胜利发展，中国舆论逐渐明朗起来，新文化运动中的一些先进分子，积极宣传十月革命，甚至包括以孙中山为首的资产阶级革命派也对这场革命采取真诚欢迎的态度。

新文化运动是一群先进知识分子的呐喊，他们之中的很多人大都成为了大师级的人物。通过新文化运动，动摇了封建思想的统治地位，人们的思想得到了空前解放，知识分子们在运动中受到了一次民主和科学的洗礼，这些思想得到发展，推动了中国自然科学的发展，对五四运动的爆发起了宣传和动员的作用，后期传播的社会主义思想甚至起到了拯救国家和改造社会的作用。

一年一度的校运会又开始了!

早上8点钟，校春季运动会正式开幕了。这次的开幕式能够说是十分隆重。走在最前端的是举着鲜红国旗的国旗手，后面是鼓号队，再后面是一片五颜六色的旗帜和漂亮的鲜花，走在最终面的是各个班的运动员们，阵容十分强大，把整个200米的跑道都占满了。我作为鼓号队中的一员，既紧张又兴奋，为了在运动会的开幕式上演奏，我们已经训练近两个星期了，今日，就是我们一展身手的时候了!

当学校晋主任致完开幕词时，喊一声：“鼓号齐鸣!”我们便在指挥的带领下，围着操场慢慢的走着。我们敲锣打鼓的在操场上走了两圈，最终停在操场中央。接下来，由我们班的任珉同学代表全体运动员演讲，她讲的十分真诚，震撼人心。随着晋主任的一声：“春季运动会此刻正式开始!”激烈的比赛从此拉开了帷幕。

这次春季运动会的比赛项目繁多，有：60米，100米，200米，400米，800米，4×200米接力跑，跳高，跳远，垒球等项目，我们班选了10名体育最强的同学参加比赛。当运动员将要上场时，我们都会前去鼓励，当枪响的那一刻，台下爆发出热烈的欢呼声，呐喊声。当运动员像风似的冲过主席台时，我也会为我们班的同学加油呐喊，是他充满力量，向终点冲去。

有时，同学并没有取得优异的成绩，或是在比赛中受伤，可是，我们并不责怪他，而是去安慰他。因为，有欢笑，有汗水，有泪水的才是真正的运动会。没有取得优异的成绩并不可悲，主要的是你拼博了，你努力了。经过一天的比赛，我们班取得了一个个优异的成绩：600米赛跑第一名，100米赛跑第一名，200米赛跑第一名，400米、4×200米接力跑第一名，跳远第一名……

But many people find it hard to learn English well. According to my own learning experience, I think determination, read English materials and patience are the most significant.

First of all, doing everything needs determination. Determination is a prerequisite to do something. Thus, if people wants to do something well, the first thing they need to do is to make up their mind. Secondly,reading English materials is a great help for learning English. Most people will feel difficult to learn English at the beginning. The people without patience will often upset towards learning English. 下午三点二十分，我的四百米跑开始了，只听一声枪响我冲出了跑道。班主任带领同学为我呐喊助威，听到同学对我的加油声，我跑得更快了。一直遥遥领先。但是在最后60米，我感到体力不足，放慢了脚步，眼看别人快赶上我了，我拼命加快了速度，但因为体力不足摔了一跤。看着一个同学已经超过了我，我立刻从地上爬了起来，为了班级的荣誉我用尽最后的力气跑到终点。这一跤让遥遥领先的我只得了第三名。跑过终点的我趴在地上没有一丝丝力气站起来。同学们都争先恐后地来扶我，我感到了无比温暖。同时心中多少有点遗憾。这次运动会的收获真不少呀。

Rules are made in public places to restrict peoples behavior. And so is in the library. Then how shall we obey the rules of the library?

Firstly, we should keep in mind that the library is a place for reading, studying and the exchange of knowledge. So we are not supposed to talk loudly or eat things in the library.

Secondly, we should just borrow the books that we need. Some people like to borrow a lot of books that they dont even have enough time to finish them all in time. However, once you have taken those books away, the people who really need them may have to wait. It is surely a kind of waste.

At last, we should keep the books the way they are as much as we can because they are common properties. If we draw lines or circles on the books, it will make it harder for the next reader to read the book.
