Good morning, dear judges!

My name is Joyce. Today I will give a speech about How To Be A Happy Kid.

Everyone deserves to have a happy childhood. We all know, life isn’t

easy all the time, even for children.

One time I didn’t do well on a math test. It was the first time for me

to get such a low mark. I felt miserable about it. When I got home, without

saying a single word to my parents, I rushed into my own room. I sat down

in front of my piano. Unconsciously, music came out from my fingers. I was

playing the music, I felt very calm and happy.

Since I go to middle school, I stay away from home and live in school from Monday to Friday.

The first time for me to leave home made me felt so lonely. I did not have friends here and no one to count on. But I told myself that I needed to try to be independent. So I solved all the problems by myself, I washed my own clothes and cleaned the bed, which were done by my mother before.

How to protect the environment

Good environment can make people feel happy and fit . To improve the environment means to improve our life.

We should plant more trees and flowers around us . We shouldn’t cut them down . We should stop factories from pouring waste water into the river and waste gas into the air.

说完我们班的运动英雄，再来说说我自己吧。我参加了跳高和跳远，分别第六和第二的成绩，就说跳高吧，第一次跳95厘米我和其他选手都轻而易举地跳了过去，第二次是100厘米，我感到有一点点困难，但是我也跳了过去，有好几个被淘汰。（四年级组18人参加）第三次是105厘米，经过一次试跳之后，发现这次有很大的难度，每个人有三次机会，我和其他班的同学都失去了两次机会，最后一次，我闭上眼睛使出全身力气往前冲，然后使出全身的力气奋力一跳，屁股碰到杠子，可惜我没跳过去。

People have to waste more time on their way home or to work and even might be

involved in an acci dent. With the development of industry and population

expansion, this problem becomes more and more serious.

One solution is to lay down more roads. The solution has many advantages.

main streets. But it will take up so much land that crowded cities become more

crowded. Another solu tion is to open up more bus lines. If more bus lines

should be opened up,the number of bicles and cars in the main streets would be

wouldn’t feel so convenient os they used to.

In my opinion, the right solution to the problem is the combination of the

In recent years our life is becoming better and better. But our environment is becoming worse and worse. Its very bad for our life. Now many people have air-conditioners and cars, they produce (give off ) waste gas. More and more trees are being cut down. There are so much sand on the earth (leaving only sand ) . We often see factories pour waste into rivers or lakes. Water in the river is quite dirty. We havent enough clean water to drink in cities. Now we are in danger. Its very necessary and important to protect the environment well.
