新文化运动的主要矛盾是资产阶级文化和封建文化之间的矛盾。其产生的背景是辛亥革命失败后，帝国主义和封建势力相互勾结，大肆叫嚷复辟帝制，在文化思想领域掀起了一股尊孔复古的逆流。

于是，在中央的号召下，全国各地纷纷成立了各种名目的尊孔复古的组织，整个就只差一个孔子大学了。这时，复古的逆流看似浩浩荡荡。然而在经历了辛亥革命后，民主思潮得到了传播，老百姓可没有当初那么好糊弄了。许多走在时代前面的知识分子在文化思想领域以笔为枪，掀起了一场新的斗争，主要人物有陈独秀，鲁迅，李大钊等。

当时，陈独秀是第一个吹响号角的人，可是，光靠他一本《新青年》有什么用呢？再厉害也不过一个小小的阵地而已，要想成功，基地可是必须。

新文化运动的活动基地是北京大学，而校长是蔡元培。当然，他的身份绝对不会只是一个“校长”这么简单，毫不夸张的说，蔡元培之于北大，甚至是中国教育就相当于华盛顿于美国，毛主席于新中国。

那时的北大，与其说这是一所大学倒不如说是一座衙门，校长更是享受内阁大臣的待遇，校园里一片乌烟瘴气。蔡元培到任后见如此情况，首先认为必须确立北大的办学方针，为了达到教学目的还进行了一系列的行动。最终成功。

有了基地和阵地，新文化运动便如火如荼的展开了。其掀起的时候，恰值俄国爆发了十月革命，在革命后的第三天，即1917年11月10日，后来随着俄国革命形势的胜利发展，中国舆论逐渐明朗起来，新文化运动中的一些先进分子，积极宣传十月革命，甚至包括以孙中山为首的资产阶级革命派也对这场革命采取真诚欢迎的态度。

新文化运动是一群先进知识分子的呐喊，他们之中的很多人大都成为了大师级的人物。通过新文化运动，动摇了封建思想的统治地位，人们的思想得到了空前解放，知识分子们在运动中受到了一次民主和科学的洗礼，这些思想得到发展，推动了中国自然科学的发展，对五四运动的爆发起了宣传和动员的作用，后期传播的社会主义思想甚至起到了拯救国家和改造社会的作用。

Sports do us good in many respects (TS). It goes without saying that taking exercises can build up our physical strength. In collective sports like basketball, volleyball, or football, we will learn the importance of cooperation. 文章的正文应以文章的开头为线索，具体地叙述、说明或论证文章的主题。文章不论长短，每个段落都必须为主题服务。像说明文和议论文这一类的文章，一个主题还常分成几个小主题，每个小主题要用一个段落处理，另起一段时，应是一层新的意思。每一段的开头，要放一个表示段落小主题的主题句，这样可使文章条理化，易于阅读，便于读者抓住主题。段内的所有句子应围绕主题句的意义加以阐述或论证，为中心思想服务。句子之间应衔结自然，有条不紊，而且还要合乎逻辑，段落中不能出现任何与主题无关的句子；英语写作比较重视主题句的作用，缺少它段落意义就会含糊不清。主题句也可放在段落的中间和末尾等部位，但对初学者来说，以放在段首为好。

在记叙文中，段的结构有时可以很简单，不需要有主题句，叙事一气呵成，中途没有停顿。段与段之所以分开，只是为了起修辞作用，以便把某一细节置于显著的地位。

分段是文章组织上重要的一步，在写一篇文章的时候，一般都会将文章分为3段，第一段也就是文章的开头，第二段是主体部分，第三段自然就是结尾了。当然也可以分成4段等，不管怎么分段，都请大家要记住，在写一篇作文的时候，一定不可以不分段。

接下来就是文章的结尾了，以下是一些写好结尾的方法

1.自然结尾，点明主题。随着文章的结束，文章自然而然地结尾。

如“I Love My Hometown(我爱家乡)”的结尾可以是：I love my hometown, and I am proud of it.

3.反问结尾，引起深思。这种方式的结尾虽然形式是问句，但意义却是肯定的，而且具有一定的强调作用，可引起他人的深思。

如 “Learning English can Give us a Lot of Pleasure (学英语能为我们带来许多乐趣)” 的结尾可以是：If we learn English well, we can …Don’t you think learning English is great fun?

4.表达祝愿，阐述愿望

这种方式的结尾常出现在书信或演讲稿的文体中，表示对他人的祝福或对将来的展望等。
