Dragon Boat Festival is a Chinese traditional festival. It falls on the

fifth day of May in the lunar calendar. A day before this festival, my mother

and grandmother began to make zongzi. Of course, I would act as assistant. But

they started to cook them. This process needed a long time, because I could have

them in the next day. Zongzi was very delicious. On the day of dragon boat

第一次相识苏州，带着强烈的震撼和深深的遗憾离开。

XX年11月，一次偶然的机缘，我有幸在苏州呆了整整4天。4天时间，呆在一个城市，按理，可以将这个城市的山山水水、人文景致，访个遍走个尽。可惜4天时间差不多就在两个地方呆着，一是宾馆，二是学校。我是带着“使命”去的。学校老师到苏州赛课，我陪同服务。当天下午一到，就全身心的投入到赛课的准备之中。第二天观摩其他老师赛课，收集赛课信息。第三天下午赛课，与其他选手交流。第四天颁奖、闭幕结束已经接近中午12点。从学校到苏州之前就已经将往返机票定好，留给我们的时间就只有一个下午。

对苏州的向往，最早源于叶圣陶的《苏州园林》。“苏州园林甲天下”，到了苏州不看园林，等于没到苏州。吃罢午饭，我们就直奔拙政园，叶圣陶的《苏州园林》主要就是以拙政园为模本写成的，看苏州园林，拙政园是首选。

拙政园，一个私家园林，实在太大了，太奢华了，太个性了。最妙，给我印象最深的，是整个园林建筑构思的精妙。在东园和西园之间，时时会见到中间镶嵌有雕花镂窗的长廊或回廊，将两园隔而未隔，界而未界。走在两园里，若想将整个园子纳入视野之中一网打尽而不得，但一个个镂窗却又有意无意地将园子里的美妙景致时不时送入你的眼中，真有点欲看不得，不看不能的诱人韵味。在园子的中轴线上，园外几里地建有一座塔，在园中游着游着，不经意抬头一看，哇！园中什么时候突然冒出一座塔来，令人惊喜不已。这样的借景手法在拙政园中时时可以鉴赏到。为了让园子一年四季季季有生气，天天有花香，西园在东南西北四个方向分别修建了春夏秋冬四个小园，春看牡丹，夏赏绿荷，秋采金菊，冬闻梅香，是别有一番风味。“见山楼”更妙，它建造在假山旁，水中央，虽说是楼，却偏偏楼上楼下不相通。从下面平地进去，像上了船；从上面山路进去，像登了山。推开窗户，四面眺望，远山近水尽在眼底，心胸格外开阔。

People native to urban Beijing speak the Beijing dialect, which belongs to

the Mandarin subdivision of spoken Chinese. Beijing dialect is the basis for

Standard Mandarin, the language used in the Peoples Republic of China, the

Beijing Opera, or Peking Opera (Jingju), is well-known throughout the

siheyuan consists of a square housing compound, with rooms enclosing a central

courtyard. This courtyard often contains a pomegranate or other type of tree, as

well as potted flowers or a fish tank. Siheyuans line Hutongs , or alleys, which

connect the interior of Beijings old city. They are usually straight and run

east-to-west so that doorways can face north and south for Feng Shui reasons.

They vary in width — some are very narrow, enough for only a few pedestrians to

pass through at a time.

Once ubiquitous in Beijing, siheyuans and hutongs are now rapidly

disappearing, as entire city blocks of hutongs are leveled and replaced with

high-rise buildings. Residents of the hutongs are entitled to apartments in the

new buildings of at least the same size as their former residences. Many

complain, however, that the traditional sense of community and street life of

the hutongs cannot be replaced. Some particularly historic or picturesque

hutongs are being preserved and restored by the government, especially for the

2008 Olympics. One such example can be seen at Nanchizi.

Mandarin cuisine is the local style of cooking in Beijing. Peking Roast

Duck is perhaps the most well-known dish. The Manhan Quanxi ("Manchu-Han Chinese

full banquet") is a traditional banquet originally intended for the

ethnic-Manchu emperors of the Qing Dynasty; it remains very prestigious and

expensive.

Teahouses are also common in Beijing. Chinese tea comes in many varieties

and some rather expensive types of Chinese tea are said to cure an ailing body

The Jingtailan is a cloisonné metalworking technique and tradition

originating from Beijing, and one of the most revered traditional crafts in

China. Beijing lacquerware is well known for the patterns and images carved into

The Fuling Jiabing is a traditional Beijing snack food, a pancake (bing)

resembling a flat disk with filling, made from fu ling (Poria cocos (Schw.)

Wolf, or "tuckahoe"), an ingredient common in traditional Chinese medicine.

The protection of the border is not a new problem for us, and our

government has long proposed clear targets for governance. As every ordinary

person in real life, although it is impossible to work directly in environmental

protection, we can start from small things and start from me. Can you raise your

hand when you see the tap in the bathroom? When the battery runs out, can you

classify it instead of throwing it away? How about when shopping doesnt use

A Visit to the Flower Show

Last week Nature Park held a flower show. I went to visit it with my friends. I was very glad to see so many beautiful flowers in the park. I was really amazed to see a sea of colourful

flowers. They told me that some rare flowers came from Taiwan. Thousands of people stopped and watched them carefully. I took many pictures there. Taiwan has always been a part of our country. I am sure sooner or later we can go there to see many more beautiful flowers. What great fun it will be.

The Chinese Dragon Boat Festival is a significant (有意义的)holiday celebrated (庆祝)in China, and the one with the longest history (历史最悠久). The Dragon Boat Festival is celebrated by boat races (龙舟赛) in the shape of dragons. Competing teams (竞争团队) row their boats forward to a drumbeat (击古)racing to reach the finish end first.

The boat races during the Dragon Boat Festival are traditional customs (传统习俗)to attempts to (试图)rescue (搭救) the patriotic poet (爱国诗人)Chu Yuan. Chu Yuan drowned (溺死) on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month in 277 B.C. Chinese citizens now throw bamboo leaves (竹叶) filled with cooked rice into the water. Therefore the fish could eat the rice rather than the hero poet. This later on turned into the custom of eating tzungtzu and rice dumplings(棕子).

The celebrations is a time for protection (防护) from evil (邪恶) and disease (疾病) for the rest of the year. It is done so by different practices such as hanging healthy herbs on the front door, drinking nutritious concoctions (营养品), and displaying (展示) portraits (画像) of evils nemesis(邪恶报应), Chung Kuei. If one manages to (成功做...) stand (直立)an egg on its end at exactly 12:00 noon, the following year will be a lucky one.

对于不同的人来说，现实和想象的距离是不同的，有的人只要稍加努力，便可使想象成为现实；而有的人无论怎样努力，到头也终是竹篮打水一场空。

我没有想到，真的没有想到，那一时的玩性会带来这样的后果……

那时候，我刚学会了一款游戏，游戏中有一个水池，参与者只要围着水池两圈，就可以穿越到一个岛屿，在那个岛上执行任务、尽情玩耍。我酷爱这款游戏，每当有空时，就会浮想联翩，幻想着自己也能进入那个“岛屿”。

终于等到机会了，有一次妈妈带我出去吃饭，旁边有一个人工湖，水不深，里面有灯，闪烁着光。酷似那款游戏的“入岛湖”，这可乐坏了我，吃了几口饭便兴高采烈地冲向了人工湖。

随妈妈一起来的一个妹妹也跟着我跑过来，我一心只在人工湖上，想来她跟着也无妨，便默认了她同我一起“入岛”。

我迫不及待地踩上台阶，开始绕圈走，心里十分激动。走了一圈半了，哈哈！我快“入岛”啦！我开始加速度……

——“扑通”一声，只听得人群一声“啊”的尖叫，我以为我进入“岛屿”了，却发现周围越来越多的人往这儿围观，我下意识扭头一看——妹妹不见了……落水啦！……我脑里一片空白，一个阿姨眼疾手快把妹妹拉了上来。接下来我只记得妈妈和妹妹的妈妈闻声赶来时焦急、惊讶的脸……

事后，我懊悔不已，立马退出了那个游戏，并且无数次幻想如果当时不去人工湖，或者不玩那款游戏，又该是怎样的结果，可惜那只是幻想，无数的人想得到后悔药，把一切想改变的事从头再来，可谁又真正如愿过呢？

再看看现实——在妹妹落水被救起后，（当时是冬天）、妈妈和阿姨用一条大毛巾把妹妹包得严严实实，妹妹仍不住地哆嗦，嘴里一直重复着一句话：“妈妈，我不打针，妈妈，我不输液！”我们安慰她：“没事儿，不会的”。

事与愿违啊！妹妹口中一切拒绝做的事情，全都来了——妹妹发烧了，先打了一针退烧针，葡萄糖点滴挂上，随后还开了一大堆中药西药。那中药的苦气围绕着我，我的表情仿佛也喝了一剂中药——难看极了。

回家的路上，我没受到责备，只得到一句“赞扬”：“你啊，上次跟妹妹玩儿，她踩到沼泽里去了，还好杨叔叔把她给拉上来，这次倒好，又把妹妹带到水里去了，你这姐姐呀，真挺好的哈”！我无言以对，只有红脸的份儿。却又禁不住扪心自问：“如果我沉迷那款游戏，事情应该不会那么糟吧”！已经发生的事，怎么回得去，已经发生的结局，又怎会让你随意改变呢？我呆了……

现实和想象，一个是我们必将不可挽回、也会发生的；而另一个是悔恨地想挽回错误的幻象？又或者是对美好未来的憧憬？反正我只知道——那不是真实的，真实往往恐怖得多！

在两者之间，我们都喜欢想象，但面对咱的只是现实……

My Bedroom

I have a beautiful and sweet bedroom. My mother decorates it for me. She always says that a girl deserves a bedroom like a princess. The main colors of my room are pink and white. The wall, the bed and the chest are pink. And the desk is white. The curtains are beautiful with lovely followers on them. Every day when I open my eyes, I feel happy and beloved. good friends soon. When I meet difficulties, she will help me without

hesitation. I am so thankful to her, I am so lucky to have her as my friend. Our

friendship is precious.
