Since I came to middle school, I have to learn so many subjects, at first,

I could not catch up with my classmates, I felt so worried. So I decided to keep

studying every night. After finishing dinner, I went to my bedroom and did my

homework. But when I finished my homework, I forced myself to go over other

subjects. Though I was very tired, I still keptstudying until midnight. But it

那是一年春天，小区的桃花开得相当旺盛、美丽。我与小含偷偷约定，打算趁大人不在家时悄悄溜出去摘几朵。终于等到了时机，我们一路奔下楼，差点就兴奋地扑到桃树上。我们拿着篮筐，总是挑开得最大的，还时不时地东张西望，生怕有人看见。“啪——”一声清脆响亮的炸声穿过我的耳膜，让专心于桃花的我吓了一跳。低下头定睛一看，才发现原来是一种不知名的绿色植物被我踩爆了。我随手又摘了一棵，邪恶的念头悄悄萌发。我蹑手蹑脚地靠近小含，拿着那种植物的手放到小含耳朵边，轻轻一捏——“啊！”小含吓得跳了起来。我偷偷笑了笑，跑到一边，又抓了几把那种植物，对小含说：“挺好玩的是吧？”小含却满脸的惊魂未定，大声喊着：“别让我碰那东西！”我嘴里喃喃道：“胆小鬼……”心里却为发现了小含怕炸声的弱点暗自得意。

恶作剧果然还是会有报应的，没过几天，我就因为着凉感冒被妈妈强行限制呆在床上，本来就好动的我在床上无聊得浑身发痒。不知什么时候，门被轻轻推开，一个白色的塑料袋被丢到了床上，我还来不及打开来看看，就见到门缝里探出了小含的脑袋。小含有些玩笑般地说：“早日康复！”说完还做了个鬼脸，下一秒钟，就看不到他的影子了。我狐疑地打开塑料袋，青翠的颜色映入眼帘，我拿出一个，听见的却是清脆的炸响声。我猛然想起那日所见的不知名的植物，又想起当日小含的恐惧，内心着实有些惊讶。看看手中炸开了的绿叶，微微卷曲着，如同绽放的菊花。莫非他是给我送来解闷的？我心里这样想着，嘴角也微微上翘、那鞭炮般喜庆的声音让我心中有了一丝暖意。我似乎看见了小含蹲在草丛中的样子，草丛还时不时发出“啪、啪”的声音，这个胆小鬼，肯定吓出了一身的冷汗。

至于后来的事，我也记不清了。时间冲刷这回忆，冲淡了童年的纯真。很久以后，那个曾经胆小的男孩身高也比我高出了一截。青春的风向标注定了我们在朝两个不同的方向渐行渐远。

I am a December 2003 graduate from the University of San Francisco (USF) with a bachelors degree in International Business. As part of my career planning, I am very interested in supplementing my international business education with a basic knowledge of the Chinese language. I already have information from BLCU and hope to study there for at least one full year starting with this summers program continuing through the fall and spring semester 2006. Can your office advise me if such scholarships might be available to me?

I have been studying Chinese for one year now. I am not sure what level I belong to. I was told that there will be an HSK test in our university in September. I am planning to attend the test. But I dont know if the result of the test is recognized by your university. If so, can it be a help for me to apply for the scholarship?

The world population is rising so quickly that the world has become too crowded.We are using up our natural resources and at the same time polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals.

If we continue to do this,life on earth cannot survive.Concerned people have made some progress in environmental protection.

Governments of many countries have established laws to protect the air,forests and sea resources and to stop environmental pollution.Still more measures should be taken to solve environmental problems.

People should be further educated to recognize the importance of the problems,to use modern methods of birth control,to conserve our natural resources and recycle our products.

When summer holiday comes, I always go back to my hometown and spend the
