A hobby can be almost anything a person likes to do in his spare time. Hobbyists raise pets, build model ships, weave bas-kets, or carve soap figures and so on. In a word, hobbies offer en-joyment, friendship, knowledge and relaxation.

Then, what is my hobby? Well, what I like most is singing. I began to sing songs when I was very young. My uncle was studying in a college then, so he could sing lots of songs, and he taught me several songs. I showed great interests in the music then, for they were pleasing to ears and easy to sing. My uncle told me they were called pop songs.

When I grew up, my music teacher found that I had a good voice, so she sent me to the Childrens Palace to study vocal mu-sic. From then on, I began my vocal music training. They were all simple ones but our teacher trained us very strictly. We practiced how to produce sound and how to make our expres-sion more natural and more pleasing. As time went by, I came to realize that my dream wouldnt come true for there were strict conditions of being a singer. But I still took singing as my hobby since I found in music the interests which were lost in the exams. When I put all my emotion into singing a song, it gave me very good and very pleasant feelings, and a good chance to relax. Besides, it was a good way to learn things that couldnt be easily found in life.

Now as Im saying goodbye to my childhood my voice has changed into a deep male voice, and therefore I can sing a lot of songs written for adults. I am often deeply moved, by the melody or by what the song.

再仰天一看，天上满是烟花，各式各样、五彩缤纷的，有五颜六色合在一起的，还有紫色的、蓝色的、黄色的、红色的、绿色的……多种多样的烟花，有些人出来再远处看烟花是非常漂亮、美丽的，如果在近处看烟花又会有你不一样的景象，是非常壮观的，非常完美的。还有一些在放烟花的，“轰隆”一声一个五彩缤纷的烟花飞上了天空，“扑通”一下开了花，好像一朵花迅速地盛开，又迅速地凋谢一般。在大街上，还有许多商贩在卖东西，有卖烟花、爆竹的;有卖糖葫芦、烧烤的;还有卖各种款式灯笼的，琳琅满目令人目不暇接。人们都聚在一起，脸上都绽放着笑容。

看完灯之后，人们都回家了。在家里看元宵晚会，全家人坐在一起看晚会，一家人子啊一起讨论着哪个节目好，哪个节目不好，还在一起聊天，有愉快地不愉快地，全都说出来，其乐融融。

元宵节之夜是那么地美好，那么地愉快，那么地其乐融融，全家人在一起团团圆圆地都快乐啊!

小时候，我养了一只蝴蝶犬，棕色的，那是妈妈送给我的生日礼物，所以我万分的爱惜

要说这只狗的某个特点，我只能回答你一个字：“懒!”它呀，真是应了一句话：吃和睡两部曲。瞧，它又无精打采地待在他温馨的狗窝里，我一拿来狗粮，它马上就提起了百万分的精神，端端正正地坐在地上，等待我给它"发粮"，和刚才的"懒相"对比，那可是截然不同的!

吃完了"饭"，我本来想训练他一下的，可是它那懒劲儿又来了，自己一溜烟儿跑进了狗窝，怎么叫它都不出来。我只能强行把它从狗窝里给拉了出来，可哪知我一放下它，它便快速地跑回狗窝，真是让我哭笑不得!我本以为它呆在狗窝里能和我玩或者自己玩的，可是，它却"呼呼大睡"起来，真拿它没办法。如果把它从美妙的梦中拉醒过来，它便会"大发雷霆"，对着我"汪汪"地大叫，那样子太可怕了!

看，我家的小狗的确实很懒吧!

With the deepening of reform and opening-up of our country, many people dream of going abroad for further study. They insist that the modern research facilities, world famous professors and excellent environment in those foreign colleges can help lay a perfect foundation for their future development.

However, there are still many people who favor studying at home. They argue that studying abroad is too expensive and doesnt pay. They also point out that there are no language and cultural barriers if they study at home.

Both opinions are acceptable in some sense. If students have the chance and financial resources, they should seize the opportunity to study abroad and broaden their eyes. On the other hand, if conditions dont permit, they can pursue their studies in top universities at home. What counts is not the place where you study, but the desire to learn.

随着我国改革开放的加深，很多人梦想着出国深造。他们认为国外大学的先进研究设备，闻名世界的教授以及优越的环境能够帮助他们为未来的发展打下完美的基础。

然而，仍然有很多人赞成在国内学习。他们认为出国留学太贵了，付不起费用。他们还指出如果他们在国内学习就不会存在语言和文化障碍。

从某种意义上说着两种观点都可以接受。如果学生拥有机会和经济来源，他们应该抓住机会出国留学，开阔他们的视野。另一方面，如果条件不允许，他们可以在国内顶级大学追求学业。重要的不是你在哪个地方学习而是你学习的渴望。

Every Tuesday and Friday evening sees Miss Li，my neighbor and a secretary in a company rush home after a hard day’s work，gulp down her meals and then hurry out to catch the bus for her English class. Miss Li’s case is not unique，and now more and more city adults spend their leisure time trying to improve themselves at school or college.

There are a number of reasons for people to go back for their education. Some people，like Miss Li，are doing it to acquire another degree or diploma to impress the society. To them more knowledge，or rather，more credentials means more opportunities for better jobs and quicker promotion.

Other people，especially those who are laid off or out of employment go to vocational school to prepare to return to the job market. They are eager for new skills so that they can be qualified for the jobs in retail trade，administration，education and other service categories to which they are strange because most of them were blue-collar workers in the factory.

There are also people who come to take such courses as Chinese traditional medicine，painting，calligraphy and photography. As their working weeks decline people begin to have time to fulfill their old dream of their heart’s desire.

Out of necessity or out of interest，people go back to school for the common goal——to improve themselves，and this boom in adult education，in turn，helps to raise the intellectual standard of the whole country.

我家养了一只小狗，它的名字叫“汪汪”它的毛很黑很黑，它的尾巴每每卷起来像一个小黑圈，它那黑珍珠巨细的眼睛，它的脚迹一朵朵梅花，它的牙齿尖尖的，像一座座小山，它睡觉的时间，耳朵紧贴着地上。

它的性格有些离奇，说它乖，它有时间会找个暖和的中央睡觉，高枕而卧，自在从容，什么事也不干涉，但是它想出去玩玩，就会出走一天一夜，任凭我怎么叫唤，它也不回来。说它贪玩，但是它又是多么的失职，只需门外有人走过，它就会“汪汪”地尖叫起来，直到主人听见为止。

我跟它相处得很好，只需看见我背起书包，它就在我的身边不停转个不绝，好像在说：“小主人，别走，别走，再跟我玩一下子！”放学回家，走到门口狗就已经在大门口摇着尾巴来欢迎我。我每每在出门的时间，咬住我的裤角不放。

它要是看见一根骨头，它就像奥运会上的刘翔一样飞快地跑过去，咬着骨头跑回来，在院子里啃骨头，以防邻近的小狗抢它的骨头，它啃完后，又跑出院子，就会息一下，伸出舌头，从舌头流下口水。

它只需见着了熟人，就会使劲的摇着像小密斯辫子一样的尾巴，要是见到生疏人，就会发出“汪汪”的啼声。

这便是我们家的小狗，这便是贪玩又乖又失职又心爱的小狗，便是它让我学习进步，并且玩得很快乐，它和我在一个暖和无比的童年里开开心心地渡过每一天每一年。

它吃的食品有：骨头、鱼刺、火腿肠、鱼丸等食品。我刚把食品给放在地上，它便狼吞虎咽般地吃了下去，吃好后，要是谁给它吃的，就会对他摇尾巴表示你对它很好。
