Okay, at first I have to admit that “The Da Vinci Code” is an amazing book. When I read in mid-parts, sometimes I just wanna to ask, “Okay, okay, what is happening?” It is a horrible period to let an eastern person to understand western religions in sudden. And so, this book basically is in love with the western religion issues.

Honestly, the author is a genius that he organizes plots and conflicts so dramatically and delicately. It’s like a gift. Reading the book is taking a roller coaster, and even worse, your eyes are forced to be close, the world is full of empty black and you got no idea what the railway go next. Everybody seems like suspect. There is absolutely an organization that was killing people and tried to hide something, which is the secret truth. Langdon knows that. Langdon figured the secret organization--priory of Sion at last, and it shows everything is related, the death of Saunière led Langdon all the way to Rossiyn Chapel, with finding “the rose line” the first prime meridian (RGO) that located France, Paris, Louvre. Where the story ends.

I can not understand that why the followers of Christianity and Catholicism would ever think that pain is good for people and human kind is meant to be guilty because they make the “God” or “Guesses Christ” mad or hurt. Actually I am a real big fan of Christopher Hitches, so now you see. The keystones are in great demand. Everybody wants them, and the truth behind of the keystones. They are delish. Christianity and Catholicism want it because it tells where the secret documents that could destroy the religion is. Where the San-greal is. Dramatically, San-greal is not a real cup, but a woman. Mary Magdalene. Mary Magdalene was legend by the wife of Guesses, who born the true blood of royal (Guesses Christ). The conflict only have one aim that are the keystones and behind of them, which is the San-greal. The plot descripts different personality well, and discovers the characteristics behind different force that was struggling the San-greal distinctly. In order to understand what is happening, and what are the symbols, characters, numbers really mean, and understand why the followers of the religion will be so obsessed, the reader have to place himself in the version of a total western guy, or a follower. Because of the different believe probably, I could not comprehend some of the strange behaviors (I mean they are weirdoes) that author described in story, but as a horror plus suspense fiction, I think “The Da Vinci Code” is better then “Sherlock Homes”.

But in the crash of 1929, Cal is married, but then he put a pistol in his mouth and committed suicid. So Rose is an actress in the 20s, and now 84 years later Rose Calvert is 100 years old and tells her grand daughter Lizzy Calvert, Brock Lovett, Lewis Bodine, Bobby Buell, and Anatoly Mikailavich the whole story from departure until the death of Titanic on its first and last voyage, and then to Rose all Titanic and the real love of her life Jack Dawson is all an existence inside of her memory, and Titanic is to rest in peace at the bottom of the North Atlantic from 1912 until the end of time.

The view of Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice is my favorite novel, which impresses me for a long time. It describes a love story mainly between Elisabeth, who I like the best, and a rich and proud man, Darcy.

The story began with the arrival of a crowd of rich men who rent a house near the Bennet. In a ball, Elisabeth gave such a bad impression on Darcys first pride that she refused Darcys first proposal. Darcy was so surprised by Elisabeths refusal that he loved Elisabeth more deeply. And Elisabeths antipathy(厌恶，憎恨) made Darcy realize his shortcomings. He was not angry about Elisabeths censure, but also he changed his previous proud attitude. During Elisabeths travel in Darcys manor(庄园)。 Darcy was very nice to her uncle and aunt, different from previous proud attitude. When one of Elisabeths sisters ran away with Wickham, Darcy helped Elisabeth find her sister and prevent her sister from the loss of reputation, with nobody knowing that it was he who helped the Bennet. So many changes in Darcy eliminated(消除) Elisabeths prejudice. At last it end with their marriage.

Taking the daily life as its material, this story reflected the life and love in a conservative你(保守派) and blocking England town. It reflected the authors view about marriage that it is fault to marry for property, money and status and it is also foolish to take these elements into account. In fact Darcys pride manifested(证明) the gap (间隙，差距)between their statuses(地位)。 Since his pride existed, there is no ideal marriage between Elisabeth and Darcy. From the different attitudes from Darcys two proposals, it reflected the feminine(女性) pursuit of personality independence and right equality, which is a progressive(先进的) character from the image of Elisabeth.

It happened to a very poor but blissful young couple named Jim and Della in the end of 18th century in England.Because of the maladies of that society and the effect of economic crisis,they worked hard but earned little.Life is very hard for them.Despite of this,their love to each other and the enthusiasm for life didnt changed at all.When Chrismas day was approuching ,Della used the money she got from selling her beautiful hair which she treasured very much to give Jim a fob for his grandfathers pocket watch.But Jim had already sold that watch to buy Della tortoiseshell combs to wear in her long hair,not knowing shed cut it off.

It appears that the gifts they gave each other have been useless.But I think they gave each other the best of what they had to make the other happy.Isnt that true love?We can image,in such rough conditions,as it said in the story,"Life is made up of sobs,sniffles,and smiles,with sniffles predominating."Itst absolute reasonable for them to be beaten by the misery.But the fact is that no matter how tough life had been,they wouldt lose heart.With strong faith and their love ,they did their best to make the other pleased."Whennever Mr. James came home and reached his flat ,above he was called Jimand greatly hugged by Mrs. James."Maybe this account is the best description of their love and struggle against hard life.It was said that the povertier life is ,the firmer and truer love is."Actually,theyd given the very best they had out of love.

女儿买回一本英文版的《傲慢与偏见》，沟起我对少年中学时代的回忆。

那年，正是我初二放假的时期，那天，我正聚精会神的“偷看”“第二次握手”。当我正如痴如醉的感动在握手的精彩故事情节时，大哥走过来，手里拿着一本书丢在桌面上，在丢下书的同时也丢下一句话：“好好看看，别成天自以为是，看完给我写读后感，我要检查的”，说完就走了。我愣了半响，半天没反映。拿起那本书一看，就是中文版的《傲慢与偏见》。

这是我看的第一本外国小说，看书之前，我并不明白大哥的用意，看完之后，才知道大哥的用心良苦。

因为出身在军人家庭，再因为优越的家庭环境，更因为是家中之掌上明珠，我总是昂首挺胸、目不斜视、目中无人一般，从来不知道天有多高地有多厚。除了长辈，除了大院里的孩子，除了需要关照的贫民百姓，对那些地方干部或一般阶层出身的孩子，我从不屑一顾，待人接物上从没给过好脸色、好语调。尤其是二个哥哥的同学到访，更是雪上加霜冷言冷语，这让二个哥哥很是头痛，虽不止一次的对我加以指责，只因我的反唇相击，令他们无奈则罢。

奥斯汀的《傲慢与偏见》，以日常生活为素材，生动地反映了18世纪末到19世纪初处于保守和闭塞状态下的英国乡镇生活和世态人情。它是一本既浪漫又现实的爱情故事，更是对人的个性和处世待人的一种行为和态度的认知。这本书，是我人生成长中第一个最为重要的认知转折点。

达西先生生于贵族家庭，年收入不下一万英镑，父母亲从小开始便教他保持高格调，并常常出入上流贵族社会中，慢慢养成了傲慢而目中无人的性格特点。处于贵族身份并且有着高收入的他，有着那份傲慢是应该的，只是，可贵之处在于达西的性格在于与伊丽莎白之间产生的爱情而彻底变化，由一个举止优雅但无比傲慢的贵族子弟变成乐善好施而又体恤他人、风度翩翩而举止依然不失风雅的上流人士。

伊丽莎白性格直爽坦诚，初入世事的她跟有着少女共同的特征，天真烂漫而对事物充满着好奇心，对爱情充满渴望而又谨小慎微。除姐姐吉英和父亲外，伊丽莎白与妹妹们的交流较少，我认为这也是作者在突出伊丽莎白成熟的特征。伊丽莎白的偏见是显而易见的，只是与其说是偏见，不如说是一种不服输的心理，而我觉得这倒是极为可爱的性格。

美好的事物总需要一波三折的过程来铺垫和润色。从开始第一次见面跳舞后伊丽莎白的偏见开始，伊丽莎白的眼中就只剩缺陷了，着实是一个傲慢的纨绔子弟，而他人对达西的所有负面评价都是对的，并且升值超过与他人的描述。直等到达西求婚不成，傲慢而客观的一封信，才导致伊丽莎白感情的转折，当然这次的打击也是达西性格的转变点。从此以后，伊丽莎白对事实的求证使得对达西的感情愈加升温，达西则变得越来越体恤他人。最后，达西准备再次向伊丽莎白求婚，伊丽莎白也在与内心斗争，达西的舅母对伊丽莎白的恐吓和威胁反而成为了这桩婚姻的催化剂，坚定了达西和伊丽莎白的心理。

说实话，对书中的爱情故事，因年少，我看的似懂非懂，也并不再意。而对书中女主人公伊丽沙白那补实真诚，以及在跟傲慢无礼的男主人公达西对话时表现出来的聪明才智，特别的欣赏和敬佩。

书中的对话机智幽默，妙趣横生。记得其中一句“如果你果真聪明的过人，那么你傲慢的就会有分寸”，也就是说，没有分寸的傲慢，是一种无知和无礼的表现，更是幼稚和自负的可怜。当一个人把自己看的比其他人都略高一等的时候，总会摆出一幅高高在上的姿态。在日常生活中，不经意间，我们不知不觉的也会成为傲慢与偏见的主角，而我就是无法认知自己的毛病成为了书中的主角，这是很可悲的。在读完这部著作后，我才体味到了它的价值所在。

很感激我的大哥，这本书对我日后的成长，起到了翻天覆地的变化。最起码，我的行为和态度有所改善，待人接物不在那么傲慢无礼，最重要的是，我懂得了什么叫尊重，在我成长的日子里，常常告诫自己：“尊严不是与生俱来的，而是要有内涵，用智慧和能力获得成就，那才是真正的有尊严；高傲也不是天生的，无知的高傲自己而贬低他人，这只会令他人看不起自己。真正有尊严、有才学的人绝不会如此妄自菲薄”。

Film Review of Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice is a famous classic written by Jane Austen. I was attracted by the characters and plots of the film adapted from the novel.

Elizabeth is the heroine of the story. When she meets Darcy, a handsome, rich but arrogant man, on the party for the first time, she is dissatisfied with the proud manner of Darcy. Darcy looks down on those who are in a lower social class,

including Elizabeth. However, after getting to know the courage, independence and confidence of Elizabeth, he almost falls in love with her. But Elizabeth believes the lies of Wickham which causes her great prejudice to Darcy. She rejects Darcy’s propose marriage to protect her self-respect. Finally, Darcy goes away because he couldn’t tolerate Elizabeth’s sisters’ vulgar manners. He writes a long letter to explain his thoughts and love to Elizabeth. After reading it, Elizabeth feels guilty about

misjudging Darcy and regrets turning him down. As time goes away, Darcy gradually improves his pride and keeps helping Elizabeth’s family out from troubles. At last, Elizabeth removes the prejudice to Darcy and accepts his propose marriage.

From the film I learn that we can’t judge a man immediately by the first impression. If we are controlled by our subjective senses, it will easy cause prejudice and

misunderstanding and probably influent the developments of many events. To avoid this situation, we need more communication to understand others deeply by ourselves.

I knew Mark Twain when i was a middle school student. In my memory, there is an article in my English textbook that written by him. At that time, I pay no attention to Mark Twain. Samuel Langhorne Clemens (November 30, 1835 – April 21, 1910) was an American humorist, satirist, lecturer and writer, better known by the pen name Mark Twain. He was born in Florida, Missouri and brought up in Hannibal, Missouri. After his fathers death in 1847, he was apprenticed to a printer and wrote for his brothers newspaper. He later worked as a licensed Mississippi river-boat pilot. The Civil War put an end to the steamboat traffic and Clemens moved to Virginia City, where he edited the Territorial Enterprise. Mark Twains short story of "one million pounds note" is a very good work. As far as i am concerned, the One Million Pounds Note takes an interesting, satirical look at the hypocrisy stemming from class distinction in England. England is a country where class and wealth are given extreme significance, especially among the rich. The novel shows the hypocrisy that existed among these people, how the rich are quick to change face when they find out that youre a man of wealth and how within the next moment they revert back to their condescending selves when all wealth is lost. The story was based on the main theme by emphasizing on the hypocrisy of the upper class society but at the same time it also creates a balance that prevents the novel from being a mockery of the British society. The love story appears at the right time and there is plenty of comedy to keep one entertained. The ending is a little predictable but the director does an overall good job by rounding it up and presenting his points.

In my heart, Herry was so luckily, not everyone can get the chance to use the million. I am so envious of the "lucky" of the heroine, but at the same time I would like to think that the reason why people carry favor with him is just that they attract too much important to money, isn’t it? Oliver Twist, one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens, is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in Britain in 18th century.

The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London.

The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. He suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse. While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodness eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end. One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life. He went for walks with them, or Rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty.

How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason is the nature of goodness. I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty. Although I dont think goodness is omnipotent, yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.

For me, the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person. Goodness is to humans what water is to fish. He who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person. On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, ‘The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose, he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a happy and useful person. People receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself.

To my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodness in humanity. They look down on peoples honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted. As a result, they show no sympathy to those who are in trouble and seldom offer to help others. On the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit. In their opinion, money is the only real object while emotions and morality are nihility. If they cannot get profit from showing their ‘kindness, they draw back when others are faced with trouble and even hit a man when he is down. They are one of the sorts that I really detest.

Francis Bacon said in his essay, ‘Goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the Deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.

That is to say a person without goodness is destined to lose everything. Therefore, I, a kind person, want to tell those vermin-to-be to learn from the kind Oliver and regain the nature of goodness.

So shaken is his belief in God that he deserts his rabbinical post in provincial Bechev for the flesh-posts of Warsaw. Although the prostitutes， unclean food， and shady business dealings which he witnesses there hold no attraction for the erstwhile rabbi， they intensify his revulsion from the world created by God and therefore his alienation from God himself. Unlike Rabbi Bainish， whose intimations of immortality and consequent rededication to God precede his radiant deathbed vision， Rabbi Nechemia cannot allay his doubts until the very moment of death， when a light he never knew was there flickered in hid brain.

While his dying words—something is there—resolve his crisis of faith， they e too late to affect the spiritual renewal attained by Rabbi Banish. No explicit promise of immortality， let along of salvation， attends Rabbi Nechemia’s vision. Perhaps grace is accorded Rabbi Banish because his doubt is triggered by devastating personal losses， and withheld from Rabbi Nechemia because his despair is the bitter fruit of idle speculation about the unknown. Whatever the reason， relatively few of Singer’s characters are granted at the moment of death the transcendent vision of unity between man and God that appears to Rabbi Banish in Joy. For the fortunate few， release from time into eternity is affected by a divine visitation which obliterates distinctions between past and present， living and dead.

These kinds of characters are lost in their world because of the seducement of the material world. They doubt their formal faith and gradually give up what they believed. But after they have experienced so much hardship， they realize that they cannot adapt to the life of the outer world so they regress to the former life with formal faith. They realize the importance of God and they begin to think seriously about the relationship between man and God. At last they find their right way of their life.

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife. However little known the feelings or views of such a man may be on his first entering a neighbourhood, this truth is so well fixed in the minds of the surrounding families, that he is considered as the rightful property of some one or other of their daughters.

life. There’re also Eli’s sisters’ love stories served as contrasts to the female subject’s ideal marriage, such as Charlotte and Collin’s life: they do had a luxury life, but there’s no real love between them and this kind of marriage is surely a tragedy of society.On the other hand,Darcy is brave ,he did do his best to pursuit his love.

Crazily, but truthfully, I finished reading the most part of the novel "A Tale of Two Cities" in just one day. Then this situation of darkness was needed to be changed. As people such as the Defarges prepared and arranged, at length the Revolution came to break out. When the Bastille was captured and the King was tried and put to death as well as many other aristocrats, things didnt go on as what they had been expected. The situation stayed the same, or even worse. The prisoners from the Bastille were set free while more prisons were filled with people who had done no wrong again. People who once lived on the bottom of class took the charge now and their heart had been full of evil. The only thing they wanted to do was to revenge. And these so-called "patriots" would like to see more and more innocent prisoners going to the guillotine and thats their joy. As the novel wrote,” In everything they did were merciless, for they had been hardened in the fires of suffering and the touch of pity could make no mark on them".

Equality and fairness is what people seek,which led to the French Revolution.As a consequence,neither equality nor fairness was got after the revolution.And thats the tragedy of the history.I was heavyhearted when reading what Sydney Carton said before death and I burst into tears finally.

达西与伊丽莎白的爱情可算的上是难能可贵了。达西对伊丽莎白的一见不钟情，二见却倾心的感情一直持续了下去，伊丽莎白对他则算是日久生情。两个人闹过矛盾，吵过架，翻过脸，伊丽莎白还曾一度讨厌他，但最后在达西的耐心解释下，一封真情流露的长信，揭穿了威科姆的真实面目，为自己洗脱那些污蔑他的谣言，使伊丽莎白对他刮目相看。后来达西对伊丽莎白一家人给予帮助，一点也没有他那傲慢的特性和那种上流社会的偏见，终于感动了伊丽莎白——她曾今还拒绝过达西的求婚，达西竟然还能伸出援手，不变感情——文中许多描写两人心理的句子很值得回味。两人最终结成百年好合，也算是来之不易的幸福。
