大气资源、水资源、土地资源等等，都是让人类得以生存的物质基础;而森林资源、矿藏资源等资源又为人类的不断发展提供物质，创造出地球上高度的人类文明。但是，人类在开发利用环境资源的同时，也对自己的生存环境产生了一系列环境问题。
