我们撑着大袋子，胡老师用火钳往里夹垃圾。没过多久，人大的袋子就装满了。我们先到了一些。过了很长一段时间，坑还没有见底。好几个同学看不下去了。索性套上袋子与老师一去挖。表层上的垃圾处理干净后，下面的垃圾粘着土。还有许多西瓜虫和蚯蚓，两个字：恶心!，但大家已经顾不得这些了，张手就抓，干得不亦乐乎。

终于，坑底朝天了，另外地方的同学也陆续回来了，各种各样的垃圾堆成了一座小山。大家都成了大花脸，同学们你看看我，我看看你，都笑了。

The environmental pollution is worse and worse more and more seriously today. Water is polluted; we have no clean water to drink. Many trees are cutting down, some animals is getting less and less. Some factories are pouring dirty air in the sky, the population is increasing faster and faster, resources are getting less and less…etc. Not only does it affect our lives and health, it but also has a great affection in the future. Peoples health has been greatly affected by air, noise and water pollution. Many people died of diseases. In order to live a better life, we need protect our world。 We shouldnt throw away rubbish everywhere. We want to recycle, reduce, reuse things .Dont waste things. This saves money and reduces pollution. Use things for as long as possible. We dont use plastic bags. We must plant more trees and stop the people cutting them .We hope our world becomes more and more beautiful.

Some people think that human needs for farmland, housing, and industry are more important than saving land for endangered animals. Do you agree or disagree with this point of view? Why or why not? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

In the past, there have been many endangered animals. Now they are extinct. Does it matter? Has our environment been affected by their absence? Has the quality of our own life been changed? The answer to these questions is "Yes." It does matter if we destroy an endangered species habitat to develop more farmland, housing or industrial parks. There is a delicate balance of nature. If one small part is removed, it will affect all the other parts. For example, if certain trees are cut down, bats will have no place to roost. If they cannot roost, they cannot breed. If there are no bats, there will be no animal, or bird to eat certain insects that plague our crops.Our environment has been affected by the absence of certain animals. Certain flowers are pollinated by butterflies which migrate from Canada to Mexico. Some of the breeding grounds of these butterflies were destroyed. Now these flowers are disappearing from certain areas. We will no longer be able to enjoy their beauty.The quality of our life has been changed. America used to be covered with giant trees. Now we have to visit them in one small park. Rainforests around the world are being cut down to make room for humans. We will never be able to see or study this fragile ecosystem.I would encourage us humans to look for other alternatives for our farmlands, housing, and industries. We have alternatives; the animals do not.

环境污染也使人类自食了苦果，让我们回顾一下历史，看看前人是怎样受到自然的惩罚的，这就是世界著名的八大公害事件：

1、比利时马斯河谷事件：1930年12月，比利时马斯河谷工业区，排放的工业有害气体和粉尘对人体造成重大影响，一周内近60人死亡，市民中得心脏病、肺病死亡率增高，家畜死亡率也大大增高。

2、美国洛杉矶烟雾事件：20世纪40年代美国洛杉矶的大量汽车废气在紫外线的照射下产生光化学烟雾，造成许多人的眼睛红肿、咽炎、呼吸道疾病恶化及思维紊乱。

3、美国多诺拉事件：1984年10月，美国宾夕法尼亚州多诺拉镇的二氧化硫及其氧化物，与大气粉尘结合，使大气严重污染，5911造成人暴病。

4、英国伦敦烟雾事件：1952年12月，英国伦敦由于冬季燃煤引起的煤烟性烟雾，导致4天时间内4000多人死亡，两个月后又有8000多人死亡。

5、日本水俣病事件：1953年至1968年，日本熊本县水俣湾，由于人们食用了含汞污水污染的海湾中的鱼虾，造成近万人中枢神经疾病，其中甲基汞中毒患者283人中有60余人死亡。

6、日本四日市废气事件：1961年，日本四日市由于石油冶炼和工业燃油产生的废气，严重污染大气，引起居民呼吸道疾病骤增，尤其是哮喘病的发病率大大提高，形成了一种突出的环境问题。

7、日本富山的痛痛病事件：1955年至1977年，生活在日本富山的人们，因为饮用了含镉的河水和食用了含镉的大米，以及其他含镉的食物引起痛痛病，就诊患者258人，其中死亡者达207人。

8、日本的爱知粮油事件：1963年3月，在日本的爱知县一带，由于对生产米糠油的管理不善，造成多氯联苯污染物混入米糠油，人们食用了这种被污染的油之后，造成13000多人中毒，数十万只鸡死亡的严重污染事件。

我的老家回江苏的，奶奶家旁边有一条小溪，那里有芦苇，有的时候，还会看到很多蜂鸟。就在我们今年回老家的时候，小溪的水，被污染了。

我看到芦苇都没有了，小溪的地下都是易拉罐、酒瓶、碎玻璃。我看到了，我很惊讶，我就问爸爸：“爸爸为什么会这样？”“因为有人乱扔垃圾，破坏了大自然啊。”爸爸说完，我就回房间了。

我上网查了很多的资料，我觉得有一些很有用，就让爸爸打印下来了。

水的重要性：水是生命的源泉，是生命存在与经济发展的必要条件，同样是构成人体组织的重要部分。水在人体内的含量达70%，其余30%左右为固体营养物（蛋白质、碳水化合物、脂质、矿物质、维生素等）。人体60%的水在细胞内，40%在流体内（血、消化液、唾液、胆液、泪水、汗液、肠液、胃液）。

明代李时珍在本草纲目中著到：“药补不如食补，食补不如水补”，水不愧为百药之王。由有害化学物质造成水的使用价值降低或丧失，污染环境。污水中的酸、碱、氧化剂，以及铜、镉、汞、砷等化合物，苯、二氯乙烷、乙二醇等有机毒物，会毒死水生生物，影响饮用水源、风景区景观。污水中的有机物被微生物分解时消耗水中的氧，影响水生生物的生命，水中溶解氧耗尽后，有机物进行厌氧分解，产生硫化氢、硫醇等难闻气体，使水质进一步恶化。

看到这些，我们一定要好好的保护地球，这样，才不会给我们带来自然灾害。

One day Sun Wukong together with his master and brothers was walking across a river. Suddenly his master fell off the horse by the bad smell of river water. They found the water so dirty that they could hardly breathe.

A lot of factories along the river always poured their waste water and rubbish straight into the river which made the river water polluted. In this way most of the fish in the river were killed. If the river water all over the country is polluted like this, no living things will exist in the water. Now more and more people have come to realize how serious this problem is. Our government is doing her best to take measures to fight against pollution. We expect that the water in every river will be made cleaner and cleaner before long.

With the development of industry and agriculture, cars make great noises and give off poisonous gas. Because of population expansion and overdevelopment, resources has become less and less. Trees on the hills have been cut down, and waste water is being poured continuously into rivers. The whole ecological balance of the earth is changing. Massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and even poses a great threat to man’s existence.

We must face the situation that exists and take actions to solve our environmental problems. We hope that all these measures will be effective and bring back a healthful environment.
