Well, you remember we left Sydney on Monday and arrived in London 24 hours later. After such a long and exhausting flight the first thing we did was to have a good, long sleep. And after that?a good meal to make up for all that horrible airline stuff!

The first real day of our holiday was spent just walking around London to get a feel of the place. After that, however, we were more particular and planned each day carefully.

First, we looked at all the historical sights, such as the Tower of London, the Houses of Parliament, the British Museum and the National Gallery. Then we visited some other famous places, such as Kew Gardens and Hampstead Heath. Finally, we took a one-day trip to Oxford, which is really the most marvelous town. 晚上回到家，想起白天上课的情景，我感慨颇多，我想我真正体味到了劳动并享受着劳动后的成果的愉悦了。当然，在物欲横流的现代社会，这个观念也许会显得有些陈旧和俗套，但它却有着与生俱来的独特的古朴、风韵和精华。我们不能将快乐简单地理解为物质利益的获得和某种非精神意味的享受，快乐与否在于我们自身、我们的付出和我们的感受。由此我想到现在的学习，很长的一段时间，我都因没有进入理想的学府而怨天尤人，失却快乐。其实不断的学习便是一种快乐，奋进着永不放弃，需要不断体验快乐来支撑。不久的将来，我会成为一名人民教师，我会辛勤地工作，用心地去教书育人，我相信我一定能在平凡、艰苦中感受到欣慰和快乐。

寒假的一天

2017年7月26日我和洪羚佳一起参加了在北京举行的歌唱比赛——《美丽校园特长生艺术盛典》。这次《盛典》经过三轮海选，把全国各地爱好唱歌的小朋友都汇聚在了首都北京。

比赛当天，我们起了个大早。怀着激动的心情在指导老师的房间开始了排练。常规的开声练习后，我们又在老师的指导下练唱了五遍。这期间，老师一点点告诉我们各自的优缺点，比如我唱着唱着，声音一放大，就容易控不准调。洪羚佳在做动作的时候，还是有些害羞，扭不开胯。这样的指导可以说一直伴随着我们学习唱歌的全过程，老师也常鼓励说：“已经很好了……”，可我们希望更好！

演出地点在国家会议中心。会议中心座落在北京朝阳区。是一家五星级会议服务接待场所，经常召开国际、国内的重要会议和展览。那天来参赛的小朋友真不少，大家都已经装扮整齐，在偌大的会议中心内，有序地登记、入场。

终于我们上场了，我在心里模仿妈妈的口气告诫自己：“放下胜负心，只管发挥出自己平时的最好水平……”我们屏气凝神，自信的走上舞台。音乐响起时，我的心情很快平静了下来。炫目的灯光，热情的掌声，激励着我们放声歌唱，排练的舞蹈动作犹如即兴发挥一样顺畅、自然。音乐停止的那一刻，我激动的心情依然难以平复，我努力控制着自己激烈地喘息，享受着台下热情的掌声，静候着评委们的最后裁决。其实那一刻，名次在我心里似乎并没有那么重要了。

不出所料，我们的节目拿了第一名。走下舞台，席老师一把把我们搂在怀里，说我们真棒！妈妈就更不用说了，看到她如释重负的样子，我才知道，其实她比我们还要紧张。
