每年的农历五月初五为端午节，又称端阳节、重五节等，是我国二千多年的传统节日。

关于端午节，有一个流传很广的故事。中国古代楚国有位大忠臣名叫屈原。屈原曾多次劝国君楚怀王联齐抗秦，但昏庸无能楚怀王听信小人，以致国破家亡。屈原听到自己国家将要灭亡，在公元278年，农历五月初五的那天，悲愤地抱着石头投入汩罗江。当地的百姓闻讯后，马上划船去打捞，一直行止洞庭湖始终不见屈原的尸体。

为了寄托哀思，人们荡舟江河之上，此后就变成为龙舟比赛。百姓又怕江河里的鱼虾吃掉屈原的身体，就纷纷在家中包了粽子投入江中，以免它们糟蹋屈原的尸体。后来就形成了吃粽子的习俗……渐渐地，端午节就有了悬钟馗像，挂艾叶菖蒲，赛龙舟，吃粽子，饮雄黄酒，佩香囊等风俗活动。

这些活动中我最喜欢的就是吃粽子了。现在粽子的品种繁多，有鲜肉的，有豆沙的，有红枣的，还有蛋黄等等。在我家，奶奶是包粽子的专家。我最记得每年的端午节，妈妈总是忙着打扫卫生，奶奶呢忙着包粽子。只见那两片长长的芦叶，一把糯米，再加一颗红枣，在奶奶的手里就像变魔术一样，一会儿就变成了一个结实的锥形粽子。而我呢，就等着粽子出锅，趁热咬上一口又香又糯的粽肉，真是回味无穷呀！

When I got to the field with my friend. I was both excited and nervous. When I saw the first height, my heart could hardly heat.
