一直在面对学生的错误，一直在心里提醒自己宽容学生的错误，却从来没有想过，假如有一天，自己犯下了难以逆转的错误，我该祈求谁的宽恕？

我马上意识到自己犯了错，但还是本能地想给自己的错误寻找一个借口，我问：“那学生家长怎么知道学生一学期的学习情况？”

答曰：“按上级要求办！”

是的，按上级要求办！问那么多干什么？一个犯了错误的人应该想的不是上级为什么要这样做，而是自己为什么会犯错？甚至也不是该想自己为什么会犯错，而是应该想如何尽快地纠正犯下的错——追回那些可能已经到了家长手里的成绩册。

于是，先到教导处报告，承认错误是由于自己的疏忽造成的，然后紧急投入“追缴”。好在现在通讯发达，手机帮了我的大忙。能打通的电话，都打到了，加上学生之间的相互转告，一个中午的时间就追回来19本。下午又和几个学生一起顶着炎炎烈日家访，追回14本，晚上交代门房的张师傅帮助代收剩下的“成绩报告册”。第二天一到校，张师傅就把他收到的“成绩报告册”交给我。一统计，还差8本。

再次向学校报告，本意是想得到学校领导的支持和谅解，但领导的无动于衷令我失望，一种莫名的孤独与恐慌让已经心力交碎的情绪雪上加霜。人常说：“哀莫大于心死”，而心死有的时候会让人变得清醒。我累了，不想再忍辱负重地揣着一份美丽的渴望，渴望得到别人的人文关怀，我决定行使自己的权利——接受处罚。

不可思议的是，当我说出“甘愿接受处罚”的时候，周围人的态度突然来了个180度的转弯，让我惊诧的同时不得不怀疑这突如其来的热情全是因为那还没有追回来的8个学生的成绩册。人啊，就是难以逃脱庸俗！

经历了这样的事情，我不知道自己是不是也会庸俗到睁大了眼睛去寻找别人身上的错误来转嫁某种伤害。可怕的是，这个问题很快就有了准确的答案——我确实是一个庸俗得不能再庸俗的人！

事情要从“毕业生登记表”说起。辛辛苦苦填写了半天的“毕业生登记表”拿到教育局去检查，结果必须全部返工。原因是卡上学生的成绩不能用分数，必须用等级表示。我的第一反应是“这是谁的错呢？”在填表之前没有任何人告知我应该填等级而不是填分数，而且这次不是我一个人填的分数，其他老师也是。我心里掠过那么一丝庆幸，可以把这种庆幸理解为一种幸灾乐祸的阴暗，因为我很快地为自己的错误找到了理由，尽管到现在，我也不能确认，到底是谁的错误，导致了这次大规模的返工，但这不重要，我的目的只是要证明“会犯错误的不是只有我一个人”。

目的达到了，但我不知道自己为什么开心不起来。也许是因为我还不知道那150份的表格复印费由谁买单，我还不知道这次返工的加班费该谁支付，我唯一知道的是：昨天我的电话费不会有人给我报销。于是，我决定继续行使我的权利——拒绝为别人的错误返工！

有时候，人的庸俗就是这样的欲盖弥彰。如果没有昨天发生的事情，我会有今天的“凛然正义”吗？

回家的路上，领导发来短信——“这次返工是因为教育局更改了通知而没有通知到我们学校，如果学校有错，那就是没有主动询问。请你不要生气，剩下的工作我们来做。”

一.名词

写作中，学生们常把握不好名词的数、所有格以及一些集合名词的用法。

1.Hegavemeaverygoodadviceyesterday.

句中的a要去掉，因为advice是不可数名词。一些汉语概念为可数的词在英语中却是不可数的，表示数量时在要其前加apieceof，类似的词有：news,bread,work,paper,chalk,furniture,information等等。

2.Thatgirllovesreadingbook.

可数名词单数不能孤零零地放在句子里，或前面加冠词，或将其变为复数。此处最好变为books.

3.Hewentintoabooksshopandboughtadictionary.

一般表示有生命的东西的名词的所有格用’s，如mymother’scar,而此处适宜用名词修饰名词，改为abookshop.

4.MyfamilyiswatchingTV.

一些集合名词如看成一个整体，则用单数的谓语动词，如Myfamilyisahappyone.如果强调集合中每个个体的个人行为，则用复数的谓语动词。此处看电视是个体行为，应把is改为are。类似的词有：team,class,audience等。

5.Iboughtsomepotatosandtomatosatthesupermarket.

中学阶段，以“o”结尾的名词中有四个词变复数时要加es，它们是tomato,potato,Negro,hero;其余的都加s变为复数。

6.Thishasnothingtodowiththeirbelieves.（这和他们的信仰没关系。）

以f,fe结尾的词变为复数时一般去f,fe加ves，如knife—knives,

thief—thieves;而roof和belief直接加s变为复数。所以应把believes改为beliefs.

二.冠词

7.Thebosswantstohireanusefulperson.

用a还是an，取决于后面单词音标中的第一个音，如为元音用an，为辅音用a。useful的第一个音是辅音所以应把an改为a。类似的，我们说aEuropeancountry.

8.Planeisamachinethatcanfly.

plane为可数名词单数，不能单独放在句中，应在其前加冠词或把它变为复数，而本句后有amachine,因此只能在其前面加a，变为Aplane。

9.Heplayedapianoatthepartyyesterday.

把a改为the，因为乐器前用定冠词。

10.Themachinewasinventedin1920s.

在in后加the，因为表示年代用in加the再加几十的复数，如在八十年代inthe80s。

11.XiaoHongwenttoschoolbythebuseveryday.

去掉the，因为表示交通方式用by直接加交通工具。

三.代词

使用代词时请注意其单、复数，主、宾格以及形容词性物主代词和名词性物主代词的用法。

12.Heisoneofthosespeakerswhomakehisideasperfectlyclear.

定语从句的先行词是thosespeakers，为复数，因此从句中的指示代词应为复数，应把his改为their。

13.Whomdoyouthinkhasleftthelightson?

放在疑问句特殊疑问词后的doyouthink/believe/guess/imagine/suppose等都不参与句子成分。本句中去掉doyouthink后缺的是主语，应把Whom改为Who。

14.ThebosspretendednottoseeJohnandI.

John和I在句中都做的宾语，应把I改为me。

15.Thesebooksaremine；thoseinthebagareher.

her是形容词性物主代词，后面应该加名词books，或把her改为hers。

四.数词

16.Therearefourteenhundredsstudentsinourschool.

hundred/thousand/million/score/dozen等词前有具体数字时后不加s，前面没有具体数字时在其后加s和of，表示大约几百几千的概念。如two

hundredstudents（两百个学生），hundredsofstudents（成百上千个学生）。例句中应把hundreds改为hundred。

17.Theirschoolistwiceaslargerasourschool.

表倍数关系的as...as中间只能用形容词或副词的原级。因此应把larger改为large.

18.Today’shomeworkisafive-hundred-wordscomposition.

几个单词由连字符连接而组成的复合形容词中的名词只能用单数，所以把five-hundred-words改为five-hundred-word.

19.TwothirdofthestudentsinourschoolarefromAmerica.

英语表达中分数的分子用基数词，分母用序数词，分子大于一时分母后要加s，所以就把third改为thirds.

五.形容词和副词

形容词和副词容易被误用，形容词和副词的比较级和最高级也是应注意的重点。

20.Thepatientappearednervouslywhenhetalkedtothedoctor.

appear在此是个系动词，其后应接形容词作表语。所以应把nervously改为nervous.

21.Theartistworkedhardlytofinishhisdrawingsontime.

此句需要一个副词来修饰，hardly是副词，但意为“几乎不”，hard也可以是副词，表努力，因此把hardly改为hard.

22.Thisshirtismorecheaperthanthatone.

more只构成比较级，而不能修饰比较级。因此把more去掉。

23.Heisthemostsuccessfulofthetwobusinessmen.

两者相比较时，比较级前用定冠词，三者或三者以上才用most，因此把most改为more.

24.Heworkslessharderthanheusedto.

表不如?...时用less加上形容词和副词的原级，因此把harder改为hard.

25.Thebookisfairlymoreinterestingthanthatone.

fairly只能修饰形容词和副词的原级，可以修饰比较级的副词或短语有：much,even,still,far,alot,alittle,abit,any,no,byfar,rather等，因此把fairly改为rather.

as?as中间的词序是as加上形容词加上a(n)加上名词再加上as，因此应改为asinterestingastoryastheone.

27.Theweatherhereisnicerthan.

同样的事物才能相比较，weather和不具有可比性，因此应改为Theweatherhereisnicerthanthatof.

29.Iwouldrathertakeatrainthanwentbybus.

这个词组为wouldratherdo?thando?，因此把went改为go.

30.Isthereinterestinganythingatthemeeting?

修饰anything,something,everything,nothing的形容词都要放在它们的后面。

像never之类的副词在句中应放在be动词、助动词之后，实意动词之前。因为应改为Ihaveneverseensuchapersonbefore.

sure的主语只能为人，而certain的主语可为人和物。因此把sure改为certain.

Some parents think that it is necessary and sometimes important for students to do some housework. Housework is a kind of physical exercise necessary for mental development. It was the Eve of the Spring Festival.

Dusk was just falling as I slurped up the last bit of rice and laid down my chopsticks.

“Theyre starting!” cried my friend excitedly. “Quick! Quick!”

Outside, children were running everywhere. Their happy voices and faces made me warm inside, despite the cold wind that greeted me. My friend thrust a bundle of straw in my hands. “Come!” he cried. I giggled as I ran to catch up to him; the childrens excitement was a fever that spread to even the big kids like us.

I soon joined a rowdy bunch of children and teenagers who were building a bonfire in the middle of a path that ran through the wheat fields. “Here,”said my friend, handing me a long bamboo pole. “Put some of your straw in the fire. Then tie the rest onto your pole like this.” He demonstrated with his own materials, and I followed his example. Then he thrust both our torches into the fire and handed me mine. “Now run!”

And run I did----we all did. For miles and miles around, as far as I could see, there were small orange specks scattered about, and I could hear the distant screaming and laughing of other children running up and down the rice field path. For several hours into the night I helped build fires and keep an eye on the younger children. Occasionally I, too, lit a torch and ran around like a mad man, screaming and waving a flaming bamboo pole.

This festival, which occurred six days before Chinese New Year, was just one of the experiences during the visit to my friends over the Spring Festival. As it was explained to me, the purpose behind this festival was to allow the children to have fun burning up all the straw leftover after the harvest. Later, the ash is used for fertilizer.

通过这次事情我吸取了一个教训—永远不要再发怒的时候处理任何事情，要沉着冷静地面对。从此以后我在也没有犯过类似的错误，我告诫大家：冲动是魔鬼，错误是不可避免的，但是不要重复错误。
