我们来到南京东路，只见路两边的高楼林立，欧式的建筑装饰格外新奇，大片的窗玻璃在夕阳的照耀下非常明亮。前面出现几个庄严的店门，上面竖着四个金色的大字“和平饭店”，字后面飘着六面彩旗。爸爸说这些建筑有百年历史了。我们随着人群慢慢向前走着。几辆双层观光巴士开了过来，车上的人们都纷纷好奇的向外探望着。街道两旁的人流如蛇般蜿蜒前行。

终于来到了陈毅广场，灯光照在陈毅市长的雕像上显得十分壮观，他一手挽着衣服，一手放松、慈祥的望着我们，好像在说欢迎你们来上海。我们顺着踏步来到了外滩的观景台。放眼望去，黄浦江上波光粼粼。游人们拥挤在栏杆前拿着手机，眺望着江面，江上的游船发出五光十色的灯光。江的对面是我心中的上海大侠--东方明珠!它散发的耀眼的五颜六色的光芒，随着时间的变化，五彩缤纷，美丽极了。东方明珠高大的“身躯”倒映在黄浦江面上像一团鲜红的火在燃烧。两颗彩球像两朵热情开放的花儿浮在江面上，给黄浦江披上一件亮丽的新衣服。眼前的一幕就像一幅美丽的城市画卷。

Last March, my mother told my father and me that my grandfather would come in April. We were very happy because my grandfather was an interesting old man and he had not visited us since he went to Hong Kong. On April 1 my father and I bought a lot of food from the supermarket and bought a big bunch of flowers home. Then we did some cleaning at home. At night when we were waiting for my grandfather, the bell rang and in came my mother. She smiled to us and said "April fools"!

In the past twenty years, China has faced three American presidents, but till coming to Yale today, I never realized that China really just faced one university. Although, through these three presidents, I understand that the quality of Yale graduates is not so even.

Let me begin my main subject and let me give it a title, called “My Story and the Chinese Dream Behind It”. I want to talk about five particular years. The first is 1968. That year I was born. However, I really did not cause all of these! But that year what we remember more was the assassination of Mr. Martin Luther King. As the summer vacation is coming,our class made a discussion about its plan,and students had different ideas.

Some students prefer to stay at home.They believe its convenient for them to do anything they want at anytime,and dont have to worry about what they eat and where they get sleeps for their parents will prepare everything ready.Whats more,it wont cost much money for them to stay at home,and their payment is mainly connected with the electricity charges.However,they miss the good chance to get to know the outside world so that they are not able to broaden their field of view.

However,some other students would like to go outside for visits.They think that only in this way can they know more about the world,including the local customs and traditions,by the way,their horizon can be greatly broadened.But the disadvantage is that they have to pay more about the accommodation.

And My FlatI live in a flat in a building. The building is very modern. There are about ten floors and I live on the top floor. I think my flat is very wonderful. The dining room is next to the kitchen.

We always have dinner there, and my mother often cooks some delicious food for us. I can t cook, but I often help Mum wash the dishes.

Sometimes my friends come to my flat and they teach me how to cook. So now, I can cook something for my family.

As children we study in different places, we will return to our hometown in summer vacation. I was very excited to go back to my old hometown. You see the relatives you can only hear on the phone. In my hometown, I like to eat my grandmas braised duck. Now I want to make water. My sister, cousin and cousin of my hometown are having fun with me! We played a game of cooking, although it was mud, but it was fun. Its so interesting to catch locusts and dragonflies in the rice paddies! My friends asked me why. I told them my story. When I was a small boy, I was very weak. Once I was terribly ill. I had a high fever. 我好奇地问道：“杰仔，你这是干什么？”他煞有介事地一边摆头一边吟道：“事情有了结果，你自然就知道了！”说完，他看着我大笑起来。不一会儿，一条水渠完工了。我恍然大悟，原来他是想把水引到低洼处。果然，水流哗哗地流了下来。我们高兴地拍着手掌，又蹦又跳。可是想起泥坝，我们又埋头干起来。终于，一个结实的泥坝堆好了。

我们开始把水沟的水舀走。虽然要站在水沟里，但是脚跟触到鱼儿在水里打转，十分有趣。当我们把水舀到只有脚跟高时，水里的鱼儿纷纷跃出水面，溅起的烂泥花射得我满脸都是。杰仔望望我，我也望望杰仔，大家不由得扮起鬼脸来。

我们把大的鱼儿一条条捉入篮子里，留下小鱼在这里继续生活。收拾一番后，我们把泥坝拆了，再把低洼处填平。

回到家，杰仔把所有的鱼送给了我，让我好好养活它们。

直到现在，这些鱼儿在我家的鱼缸里活得自由自在。

I went to summer camp on vacation. On the first day, we went to a beautiful beach. It was a sunny and hot day, so we went swimming. The water was warm and we had great fun. My Dream School

I always feel tired after eight classes a day, so my dream school starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m. There are three lessons in the morning and two in the afternoon. We can choose our favorite lessons to learn.

We can spend more time doing some outside reading. The students do after-school activities for one and a half hours every day. We needn’t do a lot of homework. We are all happy to stay at school.

Besides that, my dream school looks like a big garden. There are many kinds of flowers around the modern buildings. Sweet perfumes are diffused all around. If I want to have a rest, I can lie on the grass, listen to music by the lake or look out at the flowers from the classroom windows.

I love my dream school. We will grow up to be happier there.

When summer holiday comes, I always go back to my hometown and spend the time with my grandparents. I like the life there, it is so simple and happy.
