天神知道这件事后，他赐了后羿一枚仙丹作为奖赏。此仙丹，若食一半，可有长生不老之功效；若全食，则会飞天升仙。后羿很感激。回家后，二人不舍得吃，后羿便将仙丹交由嫦娥保管。

天有不测风云，一个人听说了这枚现代神奇的功效，想要把它偷走。有一天，这个人趁后羿出去打猎，逼着嫦娥交出仙丹。二人对抗过程中嫦娥误食了仙丹。此时嫦娥只觉得脚下一轻，便飞了起来，她越飞越高。这时后羿正好赶回家，他看到飞天升仙的嫦娥十分伤心，忍不住流下了泪水。当晚，他在门前的桂花树下，摆放了嫦娥最喜欢吃的饼，双眼望着天空喝了一夜的酒。而那天晚上，嫦娥停落的月亮上也格外的圆，也许是为了让后羿看的更清吧。

嫦娥升仙这一天正是八月十五，后来人们便把这一天称为团圆日，是想让嫦娥与后羿能早日团圆。吃月饼是为了纪念嫦娥。人们都相信，在这一天坐在圆圆的月亮下吃月饼，能保佑未来一家人平平安安，团团圆圆。

中秋节包含了人们对亲人美好的祝愿和对幸福美好生活的寄托。

那天在报纸上看见这么一个文章标题《我们的中秋节，真的就只剩下吃月饼了吗?》，读后感觉真是很悲哀的了。君不见每逢中秋之际，铺天盖地的就是满街的月饼广告了，报纸上反复强调的也只是“要保证今年中秋月饼质量”什么的了，难道不吃月饼我们就不是过中秋节了吗?难怪很多年轻人不再愿意过中秋这样一些传统节日了，除了吃似乎就没有什么好玩意了么。

农历八月十五日是我国传统的中秋节，也是我国仅次于春节的第二大传统节日。八月十五恰在秋季的中间，故谓之中秋节。我国古历法把处在秋季中间的八月，称谓“仲秋”，所以中秋节又叫“仲秋节”。

中秋之夜，月色皎洁，古人把圆月视为团圆的象征，因此，又称八月十五为“团圆节”。古往今来，人们常用“月圆、月缺”来形容“悲欢离合”，客居他乡的游子，更是以月来寄托深情。唐代诗人李白的“举头望明月，低头思故乡”，杜甫的“露从今夜白，月是故乡明”，宋代王安石的“春风又绿江南岸，明月何时照我还”等诗句，都是千古绝唱。

中秋节是个古老的节日，祭月赏月是节日的重要习俗。古代帝王有春天祭日，秋天祭月的社制，民家也有中秋祭月之风，国内各地都有中秋拜月的习俗，主要是妇女和小孩，有“男不圆月，女不祭灶”的俗谚。晚上，皓月初升，妇女们便在院子里、阳台上设案当空祷拜。银烛高燃，香烟缭绕，桌上还摆满佳果和饼食作为祭礼。到了后来赏月重于祭月，严肃的祭祀变成了轻松的欢娱。中秋赏月的风俗在唐代极盛，许多诗人的名篇中都有咏月的诗句，宋代、明代、清代宫廷和民间的拜月赏月活动更具规模。我国各地至今遗存着许多“拜月坛”、“拜月亭”、“望月楼”的古迹。

另外，在各地还有许多不同的中秋习俗，特别有趣好玩的哦，可惜现在我们很少见到这些过节的方法了。比如，香港的舞火龙、安徽的堆宝塔、广州的树中秋、晋江的烧塔仔、苏州石湖看串月、傣族的拜月、苗族的跳月、侗族的偷月亮菜、高山族的托球舞等。福建——浦城，女子过中秋要穿行南浦桥，以求长寿。在建宁，中秋夜以挂灯为向月宫求子的吉兆。上杭县人过中秋，儿女多在拜月时请月姑。龙岩人吃月饼时，家长会在中央挖出直径二、三寸的圆饼供长辈食用，意思是秘密事不能让晚辈知道。这个习俗是源于月饼中藏有反元杀敌讯息的传说。金门中秋拜月前要先拜天公。

"定知玉兔十分圆，已作霜风九月寒。寄语重门休上钥，夜潮留向月中看。"这是宋代大诗人苏轼写的《八月十五日看潮》诗。在古代，浙江一带，除中秋赏月外，观潮可谓是又一中秋盛事。在今天，钱塘江中秋观潮也还是人们乐此不疲的旅游盛事呢。

“听香”是古代流传台湾地区的中秋习俗，是由妇女在家中供奉的神像前焚香祷告，表明心中所想卜测的事(如感情、财富等)，在请示了出门以后应行的方向后，就拈香出门，凡是在路上所听到的一切谈话、歌唱等，均可以就此卜测所问的事，然后以杯茭问神答案是否如此，如答不是，则继续前行，直到获得神明的指示的答案为止;未婚的少女也有在中秋夜偷别人菜园中的蔬菜或葱的习俗，若是成功就表示她将得到美好的爱情。

在北京，中秋民间常常有“拜兔儿爷”的习俗。月亮里不是有那么个玉兔吗?所以啊，拜兔儿爷也就等于拜月了。以前，北京中秋还有兔爷卖。现在很少见了。似乎只在春节庙会上见过。中秋节祭的就是这只月亮里的兔子。兔爷是泥做的，兔首人身，披甲胄，插护背旗，脸贴金泥，身施彩绘，或坐或立，或捣杵或骑兽，竖着两只大耳朵，亦谑亦谐。

我们很早就吃完了月饼和晚饭，坐在阳台椅子上赏月那时的月亮又圆又大，像个大月饼，月光很皎洁。看到这一轮明月，让我想起了嫦娥奔月的故事有一天，一个仙人给了嫦娥和后羿两个药丸，仙人说：这个药丸可以让你们变成仙，你们在八月十五那天吃了吧。嫦娥和后羿答应了。可是嫦娥等不及把药丸都吃了，把后羿留在了人间，嫦娥带着她的“月兔”来到了月亮上，建了一个宫，“月兔”每天都在打磨这药嫦娥没有后羿的陪伴，肯定很孤独。我感觉她们很冷清。
