I am pleased to invite you to a luncheon, to be held by the Monterey Institute of International Studies on October 12, 2006 at noon, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the death of General Stilwell and in honor of his daughter, Mrs. Nancy Stilwell Easterbrook. Mrs. Easterbrook was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Monterey Institute and founder of the Stilwell Scholarship, which is dedicated to supporting students from China.

For many years until she passed away, Nancy had served as a goodwill ambassador of the American people who made unremitting efforts to promote exchanges between the United States and China. The Stilwell Scholarship she founded helps support deserving students from China who have come to the Monterey Institute to pursue professional degrees in translation and interpretation, international policy studies, language teaching and business management.

我的学校是株洲世纪星实验学校，学校座落在美丽的云阳山脚下。正值金秋时节，丹桂飘香，校园浸润在桂花的香气里，令人神清气爽。如此优雅的环境，真是我们读书的好地方。

清晨，当小鸟轻轻掠过我们的窗前，我们也从甜美的梦乡里醒来。迎着初升的太阳，开始做早操。小草嫩嫩的叶片上挂着晶莹的露珠，小鸟唱着动听的歌儿，又将和我们一起开始新的一天。

吃完早餐，大家一起搞卫生，把校园打扫得干干净净。上课铃声一响，同学们走进宽敞明亮的教室，不一会儿，朗朗的读书声便充满整个校园，那是最美的跳荡着的音符！

中午，我们结束了上午的课程，排着整齐的队伍去食堂。阳光下的校园，到处充满勃勃生机，绿色的花圃更加翠绿，桂花更加金黄，香气更浓了。我们坐在干净的餐桌边，愉快地享受美味。

“以前我迷上了《三国演义》，敬刘备而怨曹操，但有一天，我考试失败，回家便躺在床上，辗转反侧，彻夜未眠，后来心头一触，才发现原来曹操才是英雄，这位大将军在宛城丧子折兵后的痛定思痛；当他败走华容道，反而嘲笑诸葛亮和周瑜，不像刘备，被火烧七百里联营，烧回白帝城后一病不起；不像孙权，夺回荆州，守着兄父的基业就南面称帝。他把坚强演绎到最顶峰老骥伏枥，志在千里；烈士暮年，壮心不已！”

我听了这话，顿时豁然开朗，鼻子一酸，心中的无限懊悔都像喷泉一样喷了出来。

这时，爸爸走过来说：“要知道勇敢者找方法，失败者找借口！要想学会飞翔，就得先学会站立；要先学会站立，就得先学会跌倒！”

我听后，向：能有这么好的爸爸妈妈真是太幸福了。我凝视窗外的天空，是那么的蔚蓝，鸟儿欢快地唱着歌儿，是那么的婉转动听，我的热泪不禁夺眶而出，我爱这个温馨的家！

“叮咚”爸爸回来了，我急忙跑去开门。

可是，打开门后并没有看到爸爸进来，却听到门外传来一连串的声音：“嗯!可以!小心!这里……”。我好奇地向门外张望，只见在家门口，除了爸爸，还有另外两个人好像在很吃力地抬着什么。他们弯着腰，抬着一个扁扁的纸箱，正在一步一步地向家里走来。见此情景，我想：切!就这么一个小东西，用得着这么费事吗?可是，当那个“小东西”被搬进来后，打开一看，我才发现：这个“小东西”竟跟个两米多的冰箱差不多高，而且还比冰箱宽出差不多一倍。往家中一放，真算得上是庞然大物了!怪不得刚才那两个叔叔那么费力地抬呢!

当那两个抬东西的叔叔离开后，我便很好奇地问爸爸：“这是什么呀?”爸爸笑了笑说：“不知道了吧?这是新买的4k智能液晶电视”。

“是电视?真的吗?”我有些不相信地问爸爸。

“是呀!我骗你干吗?”。

“耶!万岁!”得到确认后，我开心得大叫起来。因为液晶电视一直是我梦寐以求的。听说它比传统电视多出很多功能。我迫不及待地叫爸爸打开包装，并让他迅速帮我安装好。

打开液晶电视屏幕的那一刻，我无法抑制内心的激动。里面果然有许多功能：打游戏、听音乐、海量的综艺节目和电影……真可谓琳琅满目，应有尽有呀!我欣喜若狂，找到我最喜爱的“奥特曼”游戏，非常投入地玩了起来。那晚，我几乎忘记了时间，直到爸爸喊我该睡觉了，我才恋恋不舍地关掉它。

从那以后，我就喜欢上了这个“小东西!”不过，我也很懂得克制自己，只有在每天做完各项作业后，我才会去玩一会儿，不耽误学习。

我是在五年级的时候转到英华学校的。

我转到英华的时候正好搬家，爸爸的朋友说这个学校挺好的所以我就来这个学校上了，这个学校非常好因为可以上走读。这个学校还有很多好的地方，这个学校是邢台数一数二的好学校。爸爸的朋友也说英华学校不错，而且这里的伙食也非常好，每天的饭菜都非常好吃，最好吃的就是宫保鸡丁，鱼香肉丝，还有饺子，红烧肉，我最喜欢的就是宫保鸡丁，因为宫保鸡丁就上大米饭非常好吃。

这里还非常注重孝道，每一次放假都会给我们留一些孝亲作业，每一次的孝亲作业都不同。我们这里还学习了很多种操。有七彩阳光，有希望风帆，有弟子规还有武术操在大课间的时候我们就会站好队然后去操场上做操。

我们学校还有很多特色班，有舞蹈特色班，国画特色班，有剪纸特色班，有扬琴特色班，有声乐特色班有数码特色班，有篮球特色班，有钢管特色班。我最喜欢的就是篮球特色班。因为篮球特色班可以锻炼身体。

我非常喜欢英华园，因为英华学校让我懂得了什么是孝顺，让我懂得了要好好练习书法，让我学习了很多知识。

My school life is very common. I get up at six o’clock every morning from Monday to Friday. And the I would go running with my classmates, as our head teacher says health is the most important thing. After running I have to do morning exercises on the playground. Then I can have breakfast. Having breakfast, I need to have morning reading. 走进教室，我仔细环视着。柔和的阳光透过大玻璃窗照在灰绿的窗台上，照在绿白相间的墙壁和天花板上，教室里显得那么明亮，天花板下悬挂着雪白的日光灯……这一切都给人以舒适的感觉。我爱我的学校，那可爱的学校，我爱那宽阔的教师，那广阔的操场，爱那个洒满了好人好事的校园，爱那个充满欢声笑语的学校。

my holiday was very wonderful.and it was very busy. in the morning.i went to the park with my parents.im very happy. at noon.i went to the restaurant with my parents. the food was very delicious. in the evening.i was watch tv.then i did my homework.last,i went to bed at10 oclock.
