Nowadays, more and more middle-aged people are suffering from insomnia, as

little children need to be brought up. Thats why they dont have enough time to

Therefore, I suggest those middle-aged people should know how to relax

themselves and rest their brains. Taking a simple work after supper will be

beneficial for them. Besides, they can have a glass of milk before going to bed,

Under the take care of my mother, my eating habit is very regular. I often

eat porridge in the morning. Sometimes my mother will prepare some pickles for

me. But sometimes I will put an egg into the porridge to have the egg porridge.

At noon, I will eat in school canteen. Sometimes I will have noodles. At night,

my mother will prepare a big meal for me. After dinner, I will eat a little

fruit.

Among all means of transportation, I like bicycle most. It’s cheap as well

as popular.

There are many advantages to ride the bicycle. In the first place, riding

bicycle makes me feel independent. I can go anywhere by bicycle. Especially

during rush hours, I can still move freely. Secondly, using a bicycle is good

for environment protection, because it wont emit any waste gas. Moreover,

bicycle riding is also a good sport. While riding a bicycle, I can exercise

myself, which is healthful to me.

In my free time, I often ride my bicycle to get around in the downtown area

or in the countryside, so as to relax myself. Its really a nice outdoor

activity for me, I think.

I have many friends, but Jim is one of my best friends. He is not handsome,

but kind-hearted. We know each other at primary school. He was the tallest in

our class at that time. He is good at study and playing basketball, while bad at

playing table tennis. Everytime he has delicious food, he will give it to me.

Moreover, whenever I feel sad, he will play with me and comfort me. However, he

is not spoilt me. For example, everytime I meet difficulties in study, I would

More and more people now show their great interests intraveling, because

traveling can bring us a lot of benefits.

To begin with, having worked hard for a few months, traveling can release

us from high pressure. More importantly, traveling can help us acquire more

knowledge. No matter how many books we have read, there is still plenty of

knowledge for us to learn from traveling, like history, culture, custom, and

geography of the places we visit. By the way, through traveling, we can meet

many new friends and taste different kinds of delicious food.

While some people are not interested in traveling at all, since traveling

will cost a great deal of money on transportation and accommodation, and they

may feel tired after sightseeing as well.

As far as I’m concerned, the advantages of traveling are more than its

disadvantages, so if our time and finance permit, we can travel to some nice

Saving Water

The world is not only hungry,but also thirsty for water. This may seem strange to you, since nearly 75 % of the earths surface is covered with water. But about 97% of this huge amount is sea water, or salt water. Man can only drink and use the other 3% -- the fresh water that comes from rivers, lakes,underground, and other sources. And we cannot even use all of that, because some of it is in the form of icebergs and glaciers. Even worse, some of it has been polluted.

However, as things stand today, this small amount of fresh water, which is constantly being replaced by rainfall, is still enough for us. But our need for water is increasing rapidly-- almost day by day. Only if we take steps to deal with this problem now can we avoid a severe worldwide water shortage later on. A limited water supply would have a bad effect on agriculture and industry. Let me give you just one small exampie of how necessary water is to industry. Did you know that to produce a single ton of steel, it takes about 91, 000 liters of water?

We all have to learn how to stop wasting our precious water. One of the first steps we should take is to develop ways of reusing it. Experiments have already been done in this field, but only on a small scale. For us, the systems are as important as the spacecraft.

When we were children, we often say that I want to grow up, or I want to be

an adult. As children, we cannot do many things, while after we grow up, we can.

However, we often complain that I don’t want to grow up when we become adults

actually.

Firstly, growing up means more responsibilities. We should make a living by

ourselves or we should support our parents when they can’t earn enough money to

make a living.

Econdly, after graduation, we need to work instead of accomplishing

nothing. We should have a target and work for it, so we have pressure on

In the modern time, the growth of technology is increasingly developed.

More and more people don’t use their brains when there is no need to use other

instruments. Too much people use technology so that people are lazier and less

healthy than before. They rely on technology too much.

Some believe that modern technology shorten the distance of human. For

instance, people all use cellphone to call friends or family, or computer to

search information, or use QQ, MSN, twitter, blog etc. These modern instruments

shorten the distance between human.

However, others think that it’s just the reverse. Technology makes people

use less face-to-face communication. The contact in real life is less and less.

People do less interaction to each other. In the long term, people will get

Water is a kind of liquid. It has no taste or smell. It is transparent, too. Water is useful and is important to us. Why? For example, we use water to water the plants. We use water to wash our face or to have a bath. We drink water or we will die…Water is also very important for China. There are 2.8 hundred millions of steres of water in China, but everyone can only use 2300 steres. It is only twenty–five per sent in the world.

Not too long ago, there was a man called Jacques Cousteau. He loved the beautiful colors, and the beautiful fish in the sea. However, when he returned some years later, the colorful coral reefs were dead and grey because the factory near the sea poured waste water into the sea. Jacques Cousteau decided to tell people how important it was to save the environment under the sea. He started the“ Cousteau Society ” to help protect life in the sea. Now there are over 30000 members all over the world. Since water covers most of the earth, Cousteau knew that we should keep the sea clean. There are still a few people who are not protecting the water now in the world. For example, some factories pour waste things into the rivers, lakes or into the sea near by. The water there has become very dirty and we can’t use them at all. Although there are seventy–five per sent of water in the world, we can only use fresh water, that there is only a little. So we should use little water when we need to use it. For example, I do not use too much water when I am washing my face or having a bath… It is important for us to keep the water clean. You may ask yourself, have I ever poured or thrown dirty things into the water? If your answer is “No”, that means you have already helped to protect the environment. It is our duty to protect the environment. You may ask yourself again, have I ever helped to clean up the water? If your answer is “Yes”, that means that you have already done something useful to improve the water. If we use up all the water, it is difficult for us to get it from anywhere, including the universe. It is terrible to think that people are too thirsty to live! Since I was a little child, I was taught that dont give up forever. My

mother told me that teaching me how to walk was a tough task. When I just

learned how to walked, I fell down frequently, but she or my father never helped

me to stand up, because they wanted me to stand up by myself. After fell down

again and again, I finally learned walking. My parents were proud of me. Now,

whenever I meet with a problem or get into trouble, no matter how hard the

situation is, I rarely stop my step, because I have a faith in my mind that the

Failure exists in every stage for everybody. As students, I think the most

common failure would be failing in the exam. Yes, I have failed in the exam for

many times. It is very common, because on one can keep the name of

ever-victorious generals forever. But some students do not figure out this. When

they fail in the exam, they need a long time to recover, even have directly

negative effect on their inner heart. This is not the right way to deal with
