Besides congestion, accidents and fast fuel consumption, cars are responsible for a good part of air pollution in big cities.

One possible solution is to design and develop clean cars and clean fuels.

在回去的路上，我自言自语地说：“如果所有人都爱护环境，保护河流，那每一处环境都会干净、美丽，每一条河流都会清澈见底!"

With the development ofscience and technology ,different kinds of pollution has been produced andcaused global concern recently.

As we know, people have beenliving on the earth for thousands of years, human activity damaged natural environment, such as excessive abuse of natural resources ,the sewage dischargedfrom factories ,the animal slaughter ,kinds of chemical fertilizers andgreen-house effect. All that is mentioned above has a bad impact on the eco-system .Now, many animals aredying out. We are suffering from unhealthy food and water, we are faced withharmful rays and global warming. 春节到，真热闹，穿新衣，戴新帽。家家户户放鞭炮”。这是描写过新年的一首老诗。20xx年的春节即将来临。市政府发出通告：“越城区二环以内禁止销售燃放烟花爆竹。”看到这个标题时我心中曾经产生过疑问：为什么不能燃放烟花爆竹呢?烟花升到空中，五颜六色的样子多漂亮啊。爆竹声声也可以增添节日欢乐的气氛。通过学习，我明白了烟花爆竹燃放后可以导致严重的空气污染，噪音污染和火灾隐患。空气污染和噪音污染可以影响绍兴的生态环境，给人们的身体健康带来危害，火灾会使国家和人民的财产遭受损失。

然而，禁止燃放烟花爆竹的执行情况并不令人乐观，半夜里，爆竹响声阵阵，小区里结婚，酒店里孩子办满月酒，都要燃放烟花爆竹来庆贺。

政府发出的禁令，我们需要严格遵守。但禁令屡屡被当作耳边风，却无人受到惩罚，这样一来，就会有更多的人效仿，管理就会难上加难。因此，对于有禁不止者，政府应加大监督和处罚力度，更重要的是，每一个人必须从自我做起，自觉遵守政府禁令。我们必须意识到，燃放烟花爆竹是不折不扣的自杀行为。

Last Sunday, I went sightseeing with my friends in the Fairy Lake Park. The park was full of freshness and beauty of spring, with the sun shining and birds singing. When I was enjoying the fantastic scenery around, something unpleasant caught my eye. A young couple in a boat were eating, talking and laughing loudly as if they were the only people in the world. Whats worse, they spat and even threw rubbish into the lake, totally ignoring the noticeable sign "No Littering" nearby. What a shame!

Such behavior left me deep in thought. If all visitors to the Fairy Lake Park do as the couple did, the lake will be severely polluted and soon turned into a huge dustbin. I think all of us should mind our behavior in public places. Only in this way can we live in more comfortable and beautiful surroundings.

今天，我按老师的要求去调查周围环境保护的情况。

The World Environment Day is on June 5th Every year. Since 1960s, the pollution on the earth have got more and more serious. So we need a World Environment Day to warn people that we must not destroy our earth any more. On the contrary, we need protect our environment from now on in order to make flowers more colorful and make the sky more blue. This festival was set by the United Nations in the Stockholm Conference in June 5, 1972. I think we should protect the environment everyday instead of just protecting on that day.
