自从我懂事开始，爸爸妈妈都在清明时节带我回老家跟爷爷奶奶、伯父伯母一起过清明节。

在我幼儿园的时候学过一首古诗《清明》：清明时节雨纷纷，路上行人欲断魂。借问酒家何处有，牧童遥指杏花村。在学这首古诗时，我问爸爸妈妈什么叫清明，爸爸妈妈就讲给我听，清明是中国特有的专门祭奠祖先的节日。在这个节日里，不管你离家多远，都要回到自己的出生地来祭奠自己的祖先。

我的老家在大山的深处，回老家也是我最开心的时候。所以，清明节也是我企盼的。

因为这时，爷爷奶奶会讲述他们的长辈，也就是我祖先的故事。在我看来这其中充满着传奇色彩。家乡的清明节是一个很隆重的节日。家乡的后山上埋着祖先。当清明节上山祭奠祖先时，平时冷冷清清的山上变得热闹了，只见乡民们携老带幼，挑着上山祭祀的贡品，一路上有说有笑。碰着熟人，不停地寒暄，打着招呼。

这时山上已响起乒乓的爆竹声，给平时平静的山里增添了不少热闹的气氛。

山间也燃起股股青烟。乡民们开始祭奠祖先。我们来到山坡上散落在林间的土包前。原来这就是我们祖先沉睡的地方。大人们把土包周围的杂草清除掉，露出刻着祖先名字的墓碑，然后把贡品摆放完毕，点燃香烛。接着叫我们小辈们祭祀祖先。爷爷们开始讲述他们父辈的故事。等香烛燃尽，大人们开始三五成群地喝酒、聊天。这时就成了我们小孩活动的时间、。林间采花、挖竹笋，有趣极了。

等天色渐暗，林间开始响起各家呼唤小孩名字的声音，到了该下山回家的时候了。这时小孩们不知从哪个角落冒出来，带着山间采的各式花朵欢欢喜喜下山了。

家乡的清明节如此让我怀念，也让我更明白了清明节的含义，更明白长大后不管走到哪里，我的根都不能忘。因为，那里有我的祖先。
