My home town is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice.

But in the old days it was a poor and backward little town. Many people had no work. They lived a hard life.

In 1949 my hometown was liberated. Since then great changes have taken place there. The streets have been widened. Factories， schools， hospitals， cinemas and theatres have sprung up one after another. The life of the people is greatly improved.

“百善孝为先”是的，古有“谁言寸草心，报得三春晖”的千古绝句，有百里负米，鹿乳奉亲的佳话，今有感动中国田世国的孝道，难道不值得我们学习吗？十月怀胎，孩子就是母亲的一块心头肉啊！不管怎样，自始至终母亲都是爱你的，在一句唠叨中，在一声嘱托中，在一句责骂里……无时无刻不陪伴着你，当你伤心失意时，她会抚慰你的心灵，指明前进的方向；当你取得成功而欢呼雀跃时，她会为你敲响骄傲的警钟。是谁为你缝制好看的书包？是谁为你做好美味的饭菜？是母亲！一声“妈妈”对她来说已经足够，她不奢望你非要做什么大事业，但她只求你健康成长，将来做一个对社会有用的人。

在生活中，我们难免与母亲发生一些小摩擦。不管怎样，我们都应该尊重母亲，不要与她争吵，主动赔礼道歉，母亲是不会害我们的，在日常生活中，我们应多多体谅母亲，不要让她伤心，然而有的人认为只要保护好母亲就可以了，自己的身体无所谓，但是，古人云：身体发肤，受之父母，不敢毁伤，孝之始也。也就是说身体四肢、毛发皮肤，都是父母赋与的，不敢予以损毁伤残，这是孝顺的开始。如果连这最基本的都做不到，又何谈孝道呢？所谓孝顺孝顺，自然是要顺着父母的意思，不要忤逆，更不要我行我素，完全照着自己的意思来，忽略父母的感受，至他们于不顾。对于处于叛逆期的孩子们，换位思考一下吧，多站在母亲的角度上去看问题，做个懂事的孩子；在外地上学的孩子们，请每天晚上抽出一点点时间来给父母打个电话吧，你要知道，这样做会使母亲欣喜若狂的，因为她每天晚上都会守着手机等待着你的来电；在外打工或有自己的一番事业的孩子们，请抽空回家看看自己的母亲，不必担心自己混得不好没脸回家，让母亲丢脸，她在意的不是这些，而是你的生活是否幸福，对你始终是浓浓的思念之情啊！

“如果你渴求一滴水，我愿意倾其一片海”母亲为我们付出了很多，但不要认为母亲所有的付出都是应该的，天下没有应该这两个字，对于所有的帮助与关爱都要持有一颗感恩之心，更何况是对待母亲呢，可能你的一个小小的举动就会使母亲感动的热泪盈眶，例如一个问候；一句关心的话；母亲节时，一个精美的贺卡……但这些事可能有很多都是母亲经常为我们做的，尽管这样母亲依然高兴，可见母亲一点也不求回报啊！既然这样，我们又有什么理由不让母亲高兴呢？

人的生命是有限的，不要等失去了才后悔，那么，还等什么，从现在开始，感恩母亲，回报母亲吧！
