Christmas is one of the most important celebrations of the year for the western countries. It falls on the twenty- fifth of December and has the same importance as Chinese New Year to people with English backgrounds. The celebration is for the birth of Jesus Christ, who is the son of God in Christianity. Now days Christmas is no longer only celebrated by the Christians, but by most people from all over the world.

On the twenty- fourth of December everyone gets excited for it’s the day before Christmas which is called Christmas Eve. The children are usually sent to bed early and are warned that “Santa Claus will only come and give you a present if you be good.” The younger kids actually believe that Santa will come down the chimney on the sleigh that’s pulled by his reindeers. Food like short bread and beer are prepared for Santa when he comes, however most times parents just eat them. Some children put socks and sacks up for the holding of the presents (that their parents put in).

Rise and shine on Christmas morning! The children are always the first ones to wake up, some even do at four. Present wrappers everywhere! They look into their presents with a big smile on their face and oh dear….I hope no one’s disappointed. I feel sorry for anyone that got pink underwear. Children play while dinner is prepared by the adults. The Christmas dinner are usually eaten together by relatives. The tradition of Christmas pudding and roosters are usually eaten with deserts afterwards. The rest of the day is usually games and fun before the good days all come to an end.

我建议多吃蔬菜，水果，不要再吃小零食了，我多么希望把这些“害人精”消灭掉，让我们的身心健康发展吧，请让我们杜绝吃小零食吧!

27日，2017年广东省食品安全宣传周活动暨食品药品安全科普展启动仪式在广东科学中心举行。广东省政府副秘书长刘洪出席并讲话，省食安办主任、省食品药品监管局局长骆文智介绍食品安全宣传周活动及科普展安排。

启动仪式上，骆文智介绍了本次科普展的活动背景和意义,强调了食品药品安全监管工作的重要性，并指出要继续深化落实习近平总书记对广东工作重要批示精神和“四个最严”要求，不断强化源头严防、过程严管、风险严控，切实履行食品安全监管监督管理责任。

2017年食品安全宣传周活动由广东省食安办等21个部门主办，主题是“尚德守法，共治共享食品安全”，主要内容包括部门系列主题活动、广东省食品药品安全科普展、第五届“粤食粤安全”食品安全网上知识竞赛、食品安全进校园、安安有约-食药科普大讲堂、食品安全社会共治论坛、“食品安全卫士”体验活动等。

常有朋友问，“现在吃什么好?”。是啊，吃什么好呢?猪肉中注水，蔬菜中残留农药，制造火腿喷洒敌敌畏，生产泡菜使用工业盐，喂奶粉吃出大头娃娃，喝黄酒丢了性命。一种种假冒伪劣食品不断被揭露，被曝光;一起起触目惊心的制假售劣案件被查处，被打击;一条条鲜活的生命被残害，被扼杀，一颗颗善良的心灵被愚弄、被震撼。广大群众不禁要问：“究竟，我们还能吃什么?”同样的问题，在阜阳奶粉事件调查期间，中央电视台记者曾经问过国家食品药品监督管理局局长曾筱萸，曾局长回答说：“我也是一名消费者，从这个意义上说，我对我吃的东西也不是很放心。”作为主管全国食品安全综合监管职能的最高行政长官对自己吃的东西不放心，这多少有点讽刺味道，难怪网民评论：“连局长都不放心，我们老百姓怎么办?”这从一个侧面反映出我国食品安全的问题已到亟需下大决心，用大措施，凭铁手段，到彻底解决的时候了。

面对当前日益严重的食品安全问题，我们大致可以从三方面着手。

一、完善社会主义市场经济制度下各种法律和规范的制订。好的法律和规范不仅能够打击造假违法者，而且还可以保护守法者，规范市场体系，促进市场经济健康合理发展。社会主义经济要健康，政府引导很重要，而政府最重要的方法就是通过制订完善的法律体系，只有制订了完善合理的法律政策体系，就等于对于那些不顾人民生命安全的造假者堵死了最后一道漏洞。使他们在违法造假时就像过街老鼠人人喊打。

二、要加强政府行政部门对市场的监管力度。在“有法可依”的前提下，“执法必严”就成了打击造假者最直接最严厉的途径。地方各部门因加强自身管理和对市场的监管，不能因为处于各种原因而对市场上的假冒伪劣产品视而不见。最为人民信赖的执行者，在这点上因该充分展现一个为人民生命安全保卫者的形象。

三、加强新时代的社会道德教育刻不容缓。所有那些昧着良心的造假者无一例外的是道德沦丧的德典型。对于这种金钱至上，一切向看的社会风气，只能从加强社会道德教育层面上去解决，要倡导诚实守信，遵纪守法社会新风气，大力学习“八荣八耻”的新时代精神，从根本上消除造假，违法赖以生存的土壤。

从食品安全入手，只有做好方方面面的工作，百姓才能安居乐业，和谐社会才能真正建立

昨天，开发区食品安全宣传周开幕式在白杨街道云水社区如期举行。歌舞表演、知识答题互动、食品安全讲座、“科普一条街”宣传……丰富多彩的开幕式活动，吸引了很多市民。

6月29日至7月13日，开发区还将开展“公众开放日”、食品安全大讲堂、科学实验粉碎食品安全谣言等活动，集中宣传食品安全知识，帮助市民提高食品安全意识和科学应对风险的能力，增强食品生产经营者守法经营责任意识。

昨天上午九点半左右，随着居民合唱团的歌声响起，开发区食品安全宣传周活动拉开了序幕。

开幕式由开发区食安办、总工会(团工委、妇工委)主办，浙江工商大学食品与生物工程学院和白杨街道云水社区承办，安排了歌舞表演、问答互动、食品安全讲座以及科普宣传等多个环节。

虽然雨后路面湿，但现场人气挺旺，很多过路居民停下脚步，参与活动。最热闹的是知识问答环节。“如果有人想开一家饭店，他要拿什么证?”“食品标签上的QS标识是什么意思?”……主持人抛出一个个问题，居民踊跃举手抢答。

居民邵大姐说，参加活动收获很大，希望多开几堂讲座，“我们老年人有很多东西不懂，得多学点。”

居民对食品安全知识非常欢迎，很多人走到科普区，主动领取食品安全知识读本，一位大姐还拿了两份，“一份自己看，一份拿去给儿子他们看。”

食安办工作人员说，从2011年到现在，开发区每年六月集中开展食品安全宣传，策划一系列居民喜闻乐见的活动，“希望有更多居民关心食品安全，支持食品安全工作。”

志愿者走进餐饮店参与扫码监管

可能很多人没察觉，下沙很多餐饮店里，挂着名叫“食品安全码”的蓝色二维码。这是开发区市场监管分局创新监管方式的一项举措：扫码监管。

无论执法人员、食品安全协管员还是消费者，都可以通过扫码了解餐饮店的情况，并提供自己对餐饮店检查或消费的评价。这些数据，都被纳入市场监管分局开发的餐饮服务动态信息采集系统，为后续监管提供依据。

开幕式后，浙江工商大学大学生志愿者们，跟着执法人员学习扫码监管。

在了解扫码监管方法和餐饮店检查要点后，志愿者分成几组行动，查看墙上的证照和员工健康证、观察整体环境卫生、检查消毒柜和保洁柜是否在使用……大家检查得很认真，俨然一副执法人员的模样。随后，大家通过二维码反馈了检查结果。

“体验之后，觉得扫码监管挺方便的。消费时如果遇到什么问题，可以直接通过扫码来反映，而且页面选项设置很直白，普通消费者都能做出判断进行反馈。”食品科学与工程专业大一学生孙婵说。

“民以食为天”，这说明食品对于我们来说是多么的重要!不过，你在饮食过程中有没有注意饮食卫生呢?如果你不注意，卫生就可能因为一点儿小小的疏忽而丢失宝贵的生命。

虽然我还是一个小学生，可我懂得的关于食品安全的知识可不少呢!比如说不能在小摊上买东西、不能在没有卫生许可证的餐厅吃饭、不能吃过期、变质、“三无”食品、不能吃未煮熟的东西等等。我还知道在购买小食品时，注重查看以下几个方面情况：一是要选择信誉好、质量稳定的知名品牌;二是要注意查看产品包装上的厂名、厂址、食品生产日期和保质期，拒绝购买“三无”产品;三是检查食品和合格证明、所含的营养成分、色泽新鲜程度;四是注意质价相符，对超低价格的小食品不要购买;五是注重检查该食品的食品商标标志等等。

Im writing to tell you something about the problem of food safety.

A couple of days ago，one of my classmates bought a bag of food from a supermarket. Some roommates were invited to enjoy the food. Unfortunately，after finishing it，all of them got poisoned and had stomachaches with their faces pale. They were quickly sent to a nearby hospital. A doctor examined them and gave them some medicine. They were out of danger soon after taking the medicine.

This accident made me realize the seriousness of the food safety problem. I sincerely hope that the whole society pay much more attention to food safety.

随着我国的经济发展与社会进步，人民对环境与健康的关注程度也日益增强。近几年，许多食品安全卫生问题严重，抽查检测不合格，造成了广大群众人身安全的严重影响。为此，学校利用了健康教育，树立我们食品卫生安全的意识，增进自我保护的意识。

观看了学校有关于食品卫生的宣传活动后，我受益不浅，不公明白了民以食为天[注: 天：比喻赖以生存的最重要的东西。人民以粮食为自己生活所系。指民食的重要。]，食以安为先的道理，还体会到了食品安生的重要性。

的确，食品安全直接关系着群众的身体健康和生活质量。以前，学校周边有无数摊点，那诱人的美食发出阵阵香味，同学们抵挡不住零食的诱惑，你五角，我一元地买了许多零食，结果，买零食的同学都因为买了不卫生食品面拉肚子，有的甚至中毒导致住院。而那些快餐店更是毒辣，为了市场上的恶性竞争，放弃了追求质量的提高而开始降低成本，将一些农物残留物或生长激素类产品和一些加工过程中化学添加剂、防腐剂过分使用，使食品的不安全因素日趋多样化和复杂化，而大多数打工人员又为了省钱到一些不规范的快餐店吃饭，导致了多种疾病的产生!

以上一切事例都足以证明食品安全的重要性，食品安全关系着经济的发展和社会的稳定，关系着全人类的健康问题，因而，我们要坚决打击制售各种危害人类的伪劣产品，建立起我国现阶段国情的食品安全卫生及食品企业市场准入法律体系，它将促进人类身心健康起着重要作用。

我在此呼吁大家：食品安全要注意!

只要我们从最基本做起，注意吃的东西，就可以预防食物中毒和药品过敏的事情发生了。

食品安全关系着全人类的健康问题，因而我们必须要制销不良商家销售的有害食品。下面就来说说近年关于食品安全的事例。

20xx年1月11日，北京市食品安全办公示了14种不合格食品黑名单。其中，香港知名连锁甜品品牌“满记甜品”的一款芒果布丁，菌落总数实测值是标准值的13倍，大肠菌群数值也超标3倍多。消息发出后，在市场中引起轩然大波。2月8日，哈尔滨食品药品监督部门对外表示，红牛饮料存在标注成分与国家批文严重不符等问题，红牛的配料中含有国家不允许在维生素功能饮料中使用的人工合成色素胭脂红，会对肾脏、肝脏产生一定伤害。5月7日，山东省青州市一些地方被传出部分蔬菜商贩使用甲醛溶液喷洒白菜进行保鲜的现象。记者实地调查发现，这一做法在部分春白菜的长途运输中确实存在。11月23日，中国经济网曝光了山西粟海集团原料鸡为“速成鸡”，其针对养殖户的宣传广告称“雏鸡到成品鸡只需要45天......”。山西粟海集团为肯德基、麦当劳以及诸多大型超市提供原料。

以上一切事例都足以证明食品安全的重要性。可能你做梦都没想到，甜品、红牛饮料、白菜，这些我们经常吃的东西里竟然有危害人类健康的东西。肯德基和麦当劳是年轻人最常去的，但当你准备把香喷喷的鸡腿放入口中时，你是否想过这些鸡是靠药物养大的，吃下去对你身体多不好啊！

据调查，201年第三季度共收到全国食物中毒类突发公共卫生事件报告61起，中毒1969人，死亡46人。“死亡46人”，一个痛心的数字，又让多少的家人承受失去亲人的痛苦呢？

食品安全很重要，药品安全也重要。

有一次我突然肚子痛，就去药箱里拿了一瓶治肚子痛的药出来吃，吃完后，肚子更疼了，弄得我呕吐了一整天。爸爸回到家，问我吃了什么药？我就告诉他我吃了治肚子疼的药。随后，爸爸拿了药瓶看了一下，目瞪口呆的！原来这药已过期一年多了。这只是生活中一个小镜头，但它在告诫着我们：在吃药的时候一定要弄清楚这是什么药、要检查日期、吃药的分量、保质期等在放心食用。

大家都爱吃各种各样的美食，毕竟“民以食为天”嘛，可是在吃一些美食的时候一定要注意安全哦。

有一种剧毒的食物-河豚，河豚是一种鱼，它长得像一个粗钉子，鼓起气来身体会变成一个圆圆的皮球，它的身体、各个器官、还有皮肤都有毒，但据说它的肉质非常的鲜美，很多人都爱吃它，可是，做河豚就要注意安全了，先要戴好手套，不然毒素就会粘在手上，等等。我想每次爱吃河豚的人都是一次生死决斗，所以我觉得最好不要去吃它。

掉在地上的东西也不要去捡起来吃，不能因为你买来的食物很贵而不舍得，捡起来继续吃，这样对人体是有害的。因为掉在地上的东西是沾满了细菌，你要吃的话一定生病的哦，病从口入嘛！

过了期的食物也不要吃，我们在买食物或吃食物之前，一定要看看食物是不是安全的，可以用眼睛仔细观察一下有没有霉点，是不是变色了，还可以用鼻子闻一闻有没有奇怪的味道。如果这个食物的颜色和味道变了，就说明这个食物坏了，不能吃了。

为了我们的身体健康，一定要注意食品安全哦！

i teach economics at unlv three times per week. last monday, at the beginning of class, i cheerfully asked my students how their weekend had been. one young man said that his weekend had not been so good. he had his wisdom teeth removed. the young man then proceeded to ask me why i always seemed to be so cheerful.

"in addition to teaching here at unlv, i also teach out at the community college in henderson, 17 miles down the freeway from where i live. one day a few weeks ago i drove those 17 miles to henderson. i exited the freeway and turned onto college drive. i only had to drive another quarter mile down the road to the college. but just then my car died. i tried to start it again, but the engine wouldnt turn over. so i put my flashers on, grabbed my books, and marched down the road to the college.

“我给你们举个例子吧，”我对着全班六十个学生继续说道，“除了在这儿上课，我还在一所社区大学任教，那儿离我家17英里。几周前的一天，我驾车前往那所学校，驶离高速公路后，我转入了校园区。在只差400多米就到学校的时候，我的汽车抛锚了。我努力重新发动引擎，但就是不行。我只好把指示灯打亮，然后抓起课本直奔学校。”

"as soon as i got there i called aaa and arranged for a tow truck to meet me at my car after class. the secretary in the provosts office asked me what has happened. this is my lucky day, i replied, smiling.

我一到学校就马上打电话给汽车协会，让他们在我下课后开辆拖车过来。院长办公室的秘书问我发生了什么事。“今天我真走运。”我笑着答道。

"your car breaks down and today is your lucky day? she was puzzled. what do you mean?

“你的车坏了，你还说今天走运?”她一脸的困惑。“你什么意思啊?”

"i live 17 miles from here. i replied. my car could have broken down anywhere along the freeway. it didnt. instead, it broke down in the perfect place: off the freeway, within walking distance of here. im still able to teach my class, and ive been able to arrange for the tow truck to meet me after class. if my car was meant to break down today, it couldnt have been arranged in a more convenient fashion.

我回答到：“我住在离这儿17英里的地方。其实我的车有可能在高速公路上的什么地方就坏掉了的，但庆幸的是，没有。相反，汽车是在离开了高速公路后才抛锚，而且距离学校很近。我还赶得及上课，还能够安排拖车在课后来处理。如果我的汽车是注定了要在今天抛锚的，那在这个位置抛锚已经是非常幸运了。”

the secretarys eyes opened wide, and then she smiled. i smiled back and headed for class." so ended my story.

“那个秘书听得目瞪口呆地，然后她笑了。我也冲她笑了一下，便上课去了。”这就是我的故事。

i scanned the sixty faces in my economics class at unlv. despite the early hour, no one seemed to be asleep. somehow, my story had touched them. or maybe it wasnt the story at all. in fact, it had all started with a students observation that i was cheerful.

我扫视了一下全班六十张脸。虽然是在大清早，但没有一个学生在打盹儿。不知道为什么，他们好像被我的故事触动了。也许触动他们的并不是故事本身。其实，从一开始有学生发现我兴致高昂的时候，他们便已经被我的快乐感染了。

deepak chopra has quoted an indian wise man as saying, "who you are speaks louder to me than anything you can say." i suppose it must be so.

today is an exciting day. in the morning we had the singing contest. everyone did well in it. somebody sans lyrics and somebody didn’t. when the result came out, only audrey and ellison could be in the second run. vanessa was very sad. but finally she was in the second run. it was really great news for her.

we stayed in our rooms for the whole afternoon. we played cards, slept, read, practiced some english songs for the contest and did out homework. it was a little boring.

in the evening, we had the final singing contest. it was really great. at last, vanessa got the second prize. congratulations to her! all of us were proud of her. edle gave her a bunch of flowers! then we returned to our rooms.

it was really a good day today!
