Duanwu Festival (端午节， Duānwū Jié) is a traditional Chinese festival held on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese calendar. It is also known as the Double Fifth.[citation(引用;引证) needed] It has since been celebrated, in various ways, in other parts of East Asia as well. In the West, its commonly known as Dragon Boat Festival.

The exact origins of Duan Wu are unclear, but one traditional view holds that the festival memorializes the Chinese poet Qu Yuan (c. 340 BC-278 BC) of the Warring States Period. He committed suicide by drowning himself in a river because he was disgusted by the corruption of the Chu government. The local people, knowing him to be a good man, decided to throw food into the river to feed the fish so they would not eat Qus body. I walked out of my house and took a look at the sky, I saw a long colorful bridge in the sky. It appeared clearly, so close to me, it seemed that I could walk it to the sky. Almost all of us heard the story Here Comes the Wolf when we were little

kids. What we can learn from the story is that we must be honest. However,

therere lots of phenomena of dishonesty nowadays.

Being dishonest does great harm not only to other people but also to

yourself. Take the case of fake milk powder for example. After drinking this

kind of milk, the babies had big heads while their legs and arms were still

thin, which badly affected their health. To our great relief, the producers got

accused and punished for all the serious consequences in the end.

Having the reputation of being honest and reliable will make other people

trust you, which will provide you many benefits and give you opportunities that

others may not get. Being honest, you will find it easier to cooperate with

others and people will be friendly to you and support you. In a sense, if life

is a longjourney, honesty will be the backpack that should be taken along all

the way.

Im very happy that we visited Xian last year.We enjoy those days in Xian very much.Xian is a great city,it has long history and great views.We went to the Xian museum,and the great two towers.I also saw the great ancient soldiers,and a lot of wonderful things.Xian also has clean and wide streets,high buildings and a lot of good food.I love the noodles!Xian is so lovely that a lot of people go to visit it.I also saw many foreign visitors,they were all very interested in Xian.I was so proud about xian,and our great country.
