第二天，我早早地起了床，作业也不写了，书也不看了，马上拿起扫把就扫起地来。我原本以为扫地很简单，就是把垃圾扫出来而已嘛。可事实证明远没有我想象的那么简单。我先把客厅的垃圾扫出来，接着卧室、厨房、阳台……这些地方都扫完后，我以为就好了，可当我再重新检查一遍时，那些边边角角却还有好多“落网之鱼”。天纳!我已经扫得满头大汗了，居然还有垃圾!就这样，扫来扫去扫了一个小时才终于扫了干净。

呼，好累呀!但是我已经答应妈妈早上要拖地的，一定不能半途而废!休息了一会，我又拿起拖把准备拖地了。比起扫地，拖地可要简单多了。只需要把每个地方拖一遍，脏的地方多拖几遍就可以了。不过一会，地板就变得和玻璃一样闪闪发亮了。

“轰”打雷了。一下子，下起了倾盆大雨，我马上跑到阳台把衣服收进来。扫地和拖地那么难做的家务我都会了，叠衣服应该不会很难吧。我拿来一件衣服，恩……看妈妈叠好像是这样，这样，再这样……衣服叠完了，却跟个肉粽似的。

这时，妈妈回来了，看到“容光焕发”的地板，惊讶地说：“还不错嘛，拖得挺干净的!”她转头看看我刚叠的衣服：“这衣服……”妈妈顿时哈哈大笑起来。

radiators provided by central heating.

As far as we know,new blocks of flats are also taking the place of humble

old houses in other cities.The changes of the housing conditions in our city as

well as other cities are the result of the rapid development of our

economics.

In recent years， studying abroad has flourished. Thousands of schloars and students have gone to foreign countries to study. Many people are sparing no effort in applying for going abroad.

Attending schools abroad has many advantages. In the first place， students who have studied abroad can act as mediators between peoples of different cultures so as to promote international understanding. Secondly， we can learn much more advanced knowledge of science and technology from the foreign countries. People are beginning to attach much more importance to their health these days than ever before. They begin to realize that good healthis the most valuable possession a person can have. However, many people dont know how to stay healthy although great efforts have been made in this regard. In my opinion, there are three things we can do if we want to be in good.

First, we should have the right food, because proper nutrition is the most important for good health. Avoid foods with lots of sugar and fat. Eat plenty of high protein foods, vegetables and fruits. Christmas is one of the most important celebrations of the year for the western countries. It falls on the twenty- fifth of December and has the same importance as Chinese New Year to people with English backgrounds. The celebration is for the birth of Jesus Christ, who is the son of God in Christianity. Now days Christmas is no longer only celebrated by the Christians, but by most people from all over the world.

On the twenty- fourth of December everyone gets excited for it’s the day before Christmas which is called Christmas Eve. The children are usually sent to bed early and are warned that “Santa Claus will only come and give you a present if you be good.” The younger kids actually believe that Santa will come down the chimney on the sleigh that’s pulled by his reindeers. Children play while dinner is prepared by the adults. The Christmas dinner are usually eaten together by relatives. The tradition of Christmas pudding and roosters are usually eaten with deserts afterwards. The rest of the day is usually games and fun before the good days all come to an end.
