“你一定是弄错了，父亲。”

“我没有，彼得。我们去瞧瞧吧。”

这时候温迪回来了。“不是非洲啊。”她喘着气说。

“我们一起去看个清楚。”乔治·哈德利说。于是一家人通过走廊，打开育儿房门。

里头是一片美丽的翠绿色森林，一条美丽的河流，一座紫色山丘，还有嘹亮的歌声;神秘迷人的印第安少女在树林间跳跃，成群的蝴蝶随着她的长发飘飞，犹如舞动的花束。那片非洲莽原消失了，狮群也不见了。房里只有印第安少女，正唱着一首引人落泪的美丽歌曲。

乔治·哈德利探头望着已然改变的景致。“回房睡觉去。”他对孩子们说。

两个孩子张大了嘴。

“别装作没听见。”他说。

他们走到抽风室，一股风流将他们像落叶似的往上一吸，顺着风管送到他们的睡房。

乔治· 哈德利越过那片充满歌声的林间绿地，在先前狮子聚集的位置附近捡起一样东西。他缓缓走回妻子身边。

“什么东西?”她问。

“我的一只旧皮夹。”他说。

他拿给她看。上面还沾着温热青草和狮子的气味，还有几滴唾液，显然被嚼过了，两侧甚至还黏着几抹血迹。

他关上育儿房门，牢牢上了锁。

半夜，他仍然醒着。他知道妻子同样睡不着。“你想，会不会是温迪修改的?”她终于开口。房里一片黑暗。

“还用说吗!”

“把大莽原变成森林，用印第安少女取代狮子?”

“没错。”

“为什么呢?”

“我也不知道。反正得等我查出个究竟之后，那个房间才能再打开。”

“你的皮夹怎么会跑到那里面?”

“你又问倒我了，”他说，“我只知道一件事：我已经开始后悔给他们购置那个房间了。要是孩子们有一点神经质，像那样的房间——”

“那房间应该是有益孩子健康，能帮助他们克服神经质才对。”

“我开始怀疑它的功能了。”他盯着天花板说。

“他们要什么我们就给什么。看看我们得到什么回报——耍神秘，顽抗不从?”

“是谁说过‘孩子就像地毯，必须经常踩一踩’?我们从来就舍不得打他们。老实说，他们太任性了，来去全看他们高兴，而且当我们是小孩似的。他们太娇宠，我们太放任。”

“自从几个月前你禁止他们搭火箭去纽约之后，他们就一直在闹别扭。”

“他们还太小，不能参加那种旅行，这我解释过了呀!”

“可是我注意到了，从那时候起，他们就决心跟我们对抗到底。”

“我想明天我还是请戴维·麦克林过来一趟，要他看一下非洲。”

“可是非洲已经不见了，现在是绿野仙境和印第安少女了。”

“我感觉，到了明天一定又会变回非洲。”

片刻后，他们听见尖叫声。

两声。是从楼下传来的人声。接着是一阵狮吼。

“温迪和彼得不在他们的睡房里。”他妻子说。

他躺在床上，心怦怦地跳。“糟了，”他说，“他们跑进育儿房了。”

“那两声尖叫——很耳熟。”

“是吗?”

“是啊，非常耳熟。”

尽管他们的床努力地摇，一小时过去了，还是无法将这两个大人摇入梦乡。夜色中弥漫着一股猫科动物的气味。

“父亲?”彼得说。

“什么事?”

彼得低头盯着鞋子。他很久不曾正眼看父亲一下了，还有母亲。“你不会一直把育儿房上锁吧，会吗?”

“这得看情况。”

“什么情况?”彼得问。

“我尽力。”

“好，请你看一下我们的育儿房。一年前你顺道来看过一次，那时候你可曾发现有什么不寻常的?”

“不算有，只是一些普通的暴力迹象，某些地方发现了轻微的偏执倾向，这在儿童身上很常见，因为孩子们总觉得自己受到父母的迫害，这没什么大不了的。”

育儿房传出一声可怕的尖叫。

“我把几台电器搬了出去，一个月前还威胁他们说，要是他们不好好做功课，我就把育儿房给关闭。后来我真的把它关闭了好几天，让他们知道我不是说着玩的。”

“哈，哈!”

“这么做有关系吗?”

“关系可大呢。他们本来拥有的圣诞老人，如今却变成了吝啬鬼。孩子们当然比较喜欢圣诞老人了。你让这房间取代了你和你妻子在孩子心中的地位。对他们来说，这房间是母亲，也是父亲，在他们生活中的分量远远超过真正的双亲。现在你却要把它给关闭，也难怪他们会恨你。看那片天空，就可以感觉得出来。还有那太阳。你必须改变一下你的生活，乔治。你跟许多人一样，太依赖人造装置带来的舒适了。要是明天你厨房里的什么电器出了问题，你就得饿肚子了，你连打个蛋都不会。所以，把所有机器都关掉吧。现在就关。这需要一点时间适应。可是顶多花个一年，我们一定能把孩子们教好的，你等着瞧吧。”

“可是，对孩子们来说，把育儿房永远关闭，这冲击会不会太大了些?”

“我只是不希望他们愈陷愈深。”

狮群已享受完一顿红色飨宴。

它们站在林间空地边缘，盯着这两个男人。

“这下换成我感觉受到迫害了，”麦克林说，“咱们快滚吧。我向来不喜欢这种房间，总觉得心里发毛。”

“那些狮子好逼真，对吧?”乔治·哈德利说，“它们该不会——”

他们一起来到保险丝盒前，将开关一扳，终结了育儿房。

两个孩子闹得天翻地覆。他们不停尖叫，耍脾气，乱丢东西，又哭又吼，还骂人，在家具上跳来跳去。

“你们不可以这样对育儿房，不可以!”

“好啦，孩子们。”

小孩们扑倒在沙发上，悲伤地大哭。

“乔治，”莉迪娅说，“把育儿房打开，几分钟就好，这样太突然了。”

“不行。”

“你不能这么霸道。”

“莉迪娅，已经关上，就不会再打开了。这屋子里的所有装置也要马上关闭。我越看咱们买来的这一大批家当，就越觉得讨厌。我们在这些机械电子玩意儿上投注太多心力了。老天，我们真需要呼吸一点淳朴的空气啊!”

他说完便走到屋子各处，把语音时钟、电炉、电暖器和自动擦鞋、系鞋带、擦澡、拖地的机器，以及所有他够得着的电器全部切断电源。

屋子里仿佛躺满了尸体，感觉犹如一座机械的坟墓，静得可怕。机器内部那些静候着按键声啪嗒一响而启动的潜藏能量，如今一丝都听不见。

“别听爸妈的话!”彼得朝着天花板哀号，仿佛在对育儿房说话那样。“别让父亲害死你们!”接着他转身对他的父亲说：“啊，我讨厌你!”

“再怎么骂我也没用的。”

“希望你死掉!”

“我是死了很长一段时间没错。现在我们要真正开始生活了。我们要活起来，而不是把自己交给机器去处置操弄。”

温迪仍然哭个不停，彼得也跟着大哭起来。“再玩一分钟，一分钟就好，让我们再玩一下育儿房啦!”他们泪流满面地哀求。

“唉，乔治，”莉迪娅说，“应该问题不大吧。”

“好吧——好吧，但是要马上关闭。注意，只能玩一分钟，然后就要永远关起来。”

“爸爸真好，爸爸真好!”孩子们尖叫起来，破涕为笑。

“然后我们要出发去旅行。半小时后戴维·麦克林会过来帮我们搬家，然后送我们去机场。我要去换衣服了。一分钟后你们必须把育儿房给关上。莉迪娅，记得喔，一分钟。”

三人交头接耳地离去，乔治则搭乘风管上楼，开始更衣。一分钟后，莉迪娅也上楼来。

“我们最好赶紧下楼去，免得孩子们又被那些野兽给迷昏了头。”

他们沿着风管下了楼，跑着通过走廊。可是不见两个孩子的踪影。“温迪?彼得?”

他们跑进育儿房。那片大莽原空荡荡的，只剩几只狮子在那里，冲着他们张望。“彼得?温迪?”

这时，房门砰地关上。

“温迪，彼得!”

乔治·哈德利和他的妻子惊慌地转身，往门口急奔。

“开门!”乔治·哈德利大叫，努力转动着门钮。“糟糕，门从外面锁上了!彼得!”他敲打着门板，“快开门啊!”

他紧贴着房门，听见门外响起彼得的声音。

“别让他们把育儿房还有整个家关掉。”

乔治·哈德利夫妇用力敲门。“好啦，别闹了，孩子们。我们该出发了，麦克林先生马上就要来了，而且……”

接着，他们听见一阵响动。

大莽原上，狮群正从三个方向，踏着干黄的草地靠近过来，喉咙里咕噜噜地发出低吼。

乔治看了妻子一眼，两人转身，和那群野兽对望。它们缓缓逼近，蹲伏着，尾巴竖起。

乔治夫妇惊叫起来。

他们突然明白了，先前他们听见的那些尖叫声为何会那么耳熟。

“我来啦!”戴维·麦克林出现在育儿房门口。“嗨，你们好。”他向两个孩子招呼道。他们正坐在那片林间绿地的中央，像野餐那样吃着简单的午饭。他们背后是水潭和黄色的莽原，头顶一轮火热的太阳。他开始冒汗。“爸爸妈妈呢?”

孩子们抬头，微笑着说：“噢，他们马上就来。”

“很好，我们该出发了。”麦克林远远看见一群狮子挥舞着爪子互相缠斗，随后便恢复平静，开始在树荫下大嚼起来。

1、审题：审题是做到切题的第一步。所谓审题就是要看清题意，确定文章的中心思想、主题，并围绕中心思想组织材料。

2、进行构思，列出简单的提纲，打造文章之骨架：审好题、立好意后，就要写提纲，打造文章的骨架。文章布局要做好几件事：安排好层次段落，铺设好过渡，处理好开头和结尾。

3、扩展成文：根据字数多少扩展成篇。扩展的内容一定要紧扣主题，千万不要写那些与主题不相关的内容。展开的方式包括：顺序法、举例法、比较法、对比法、说明法、因果法、推导法、归纳法和下定义等。可以根据需要任选一种或几种方式。

在这一步骤中还需注意三方面问题：

1、确保提纲中段落结构的思路与各段主题句的一致性。只有这样，才能保证所写段落不偏题、不跑题。

2、要综合考虑各个段落的内容安排，避免段落内容的交叉。

3、用好连接词，注意段落间、句子间的连贯性。要做到所写文章层次分明，思路清晰，文字连贯，就需要在句与句之间、段与段之间架起一座座桥梁，而连接词起的正是桥梁作用。

在扩展的过程中也有些窍门，以下几点可供参考：

1、在整篇文章中，避免只是用一两个句式或重复用同一词语。英语中存在着极为丰富的同义词，准确地使用同义词可以给读者清新的感觉。同时要灵活运用各种句式，如倒装句、强调句、省略句、主从复合句、对比句、分词短语、介词短语等，从而增加文章的可读性。

2、使用不同长度的句子。如果一个意思用一句话写不清楚的话，通过分句和合句或用两句、三句来表达，增强句子的连贯性和表现力。

3、改变句子的开头方式，不要总是以主、谓、宾、状的次序。可以把状语至于句首，或用分词等。

4、学会使用过渡词。递进furthermore，moreover，besides，in addition，then，etc ;转折however，but，nevertheless，afterwards，etc ;总结finally，at last，in brief，to conclude，etc ;强调really，indeed，certainly，surely，above a11，etc ;对比in the same way，just as，on the other hand，etc。

5、确定文章用第几人称写，基本时态是什么。使用人称时人物不能张冠李戴或指代不明。时态要尽量保持一致。

检查修改：要检查复核，不要写完了事。

要留时间通读全文，修改可能出现的错误。检查上下文是否连贯，句子衔接是否自然流畅。检验的标准主要是句子是否通畅，该用连词的地方用了没有，所用的连词是否合适，是否有语法错误，主谓是否一致，动词的时态、语态、语气的使用是否正确，词组的搭配是否合乎习惯，是否有大小写、拼写、标点错误等，还有就是注意卷面整洁。

In my opinion, the first and important thing is tounite all forces ,that is to say---gather all hearts together. Next we shouldprotect and plant more trees, which can dispose of the dust in the air. As forfamilies, it is effective to ride bicycles rather than drive cars. Don’t litteranywhere as you like. In addition, sorting and recycling the rubbish also playan essential role in the protection of our earth. We’d better call on everyone aroundus to lead a low-carbon life, as it may make a difference to the environment.

Thus, it’s high time that we did something to improveour surroundings. Everybody should raise the awareness to protect our motherearth. Let’s appeal to more people to join us.

The Thanksgiving holiday is generally a "four-day" weekend in the United States, in which Americans are given the relevant Thursday and Friday off. Thanksgiving is almost entirely celebrated at home, unlike the Fourth of July or Christmas, which are associated with a variety of shared public experiences.

We swarmed in, and I thought: the easiest place to hide is probably the most secluded place. As we all know, pollution is harmful to living beings. There are many different types of pollutions in this world. For instance, water pollution, air pollution, noise pollution and so on. Water pollution cause many kinds of disease that have negative effects on human beings, sometimes the diseases will take people’s life away. Dirty air will increase the rate of getting lung cancer. While the noise pollution will cause insomnia. People’s health condition will be damaged.

In my humble opinion, people should take measures to control the pollution. Recently, not only the government, but also individual has taken part in the action of protecting the environment. This is a good sign. Rivers are being cleaned, air is purified, and the people come to realize that the importance of protecting the environment.

However, this is not enough, the problems are still exist. Not all of them have been solved. Some factories are still pouring dirty water into the rivers or give off the toxic gas into the sky. We should know that protecting the environment needs everybody’s effort.

An unforgettable experience

My mom used to say that I was born to swim. But the truth is that I didn t know how to swim until the last year of my primary school!

Mom always said that I could swim in the basin when I was only two months old. I was surprised at the amazing fact. If this was true, then why was I afraid of water? I went to swim every summer, but I didn t make a little progress. I was worried and blamed myself several times. When I watched people swimming freely, how I wished I had learnt to swim!

The story of how I learnt to swim is dramatic. One hot summer afternoon, my father and I went to the swimming pool to swim. While my father was changing his clothes, I was roaming along the bank of the pool. Suddenly I heard a voice, Look out! and then came a big noise and beautiful splashes. Just when I was admiring the swimmer s skills, I slipped into the pool! I was so afraid that I shouted at once! But the water kept coming towards me and I drank a lot of it. I was moving upside down and trying to reach the bank. I was struggling very hard to keep my head above the water.

A minute was like a hundred years to me. To my surprise, I was able to keep the style! Just then, my father, saw me and he seemed to be shocked. He then said, Calm down, just wave your arms and legs like this. Right! And I got it! I finally learnt to swim! You can t imagine how happy I was and I wanted to jump for joy!
