swifts satire of the houyhnhnms comes out in other ways as well. one of the most memorable scenes is when the dapple grey mare attempts to woo the horse that guenivre has brought with him to the island. first she acts flirtatiously, parading around the bewildered horse. but when this does not have the desired effect, she gets another idea: "as i watched in amazement from my perch in the top of a tree, the sorrel nag dashed off and returned with a yahoo on her back who was yet more monstrous than mr. pope being fitted by a clothier. she dropped this creature before my nag as if offering up a sacrifice. my horse sniffed the creature and turned away." it might seem that we should take this scene seriously as a failed attempt at courtship, and that consequently we should see the grey mare as an unrequited lover. but it makes more sense if we see that swift is being satiric here: it is the female houyhnhnm who makes the move, which would not have happened in eighteenth-century england. the houyhnhm is being prideful, and it is that pride that makes him unable to impress gullivers horse. gulliver imagines the horse saying, sblood, the notion of creating the bare backed beast with an animal who had held mr. pope on her back makes me queezy .

a final indication that the houyhnmns are not meant to be taken seriously occurs when the leader of the houynhms visits lilliput, where he visits the french royal society. he goes into a room in which a scientist is trying to turn wine into water (itself a prideful act that refers to the marriage at gallilee). the scientist has been working hard at the experiment for many years without success, when the houyhnmn arrives and immediately knows that to do: "the creature no sooner stepped through the doorway than he struck upon a plan. slurping up all the wine in sight, he quickly made water in a bucket that sat near the door" .

he has accomplished the scientists goal, but the scientist is not happy, for his livelihood has now been destroyed. swifts clear implication is that even though the houyhnhmns are smart, they do not know how to use that knowledge for the benefit of society, only for their own prideful agrandizement.

throughout gullivers travels, the houyhnhms are shown to be an ideal gone wrong. though their intent might have been good, they dont know how to do what they want to do because they are filled with pride. they mislead gulliver and they even mislead themselves. the satire on them is particularly well explained by the new born houyhnhm who, having just been born, exclaims, "with this sort of entrance, what must i expect from the rest of my life!" .

DAY2:椤梭江——天生桥

第二天上午将近9点的样子在勐仑镇乘车出发，沿椤梭江而上，车行至椤梭江与墨者河的交叉口，顺着墨者河进发，到达老四队后徒步穿越3公里丛林，到达天生桥。

椤梭江是澜沧江的主要支流之一，由思茅地区流入版纳东北，流经景洪市、勐腊县，流经西双版纳，勐仑镇和关累镇一段叫“椤梭江”；景洪市勐旺乡一段叫补远江，在勐腊县象明乡一段叫小黑江。

全长282km，流域面积7750km2，落差达1245m。椤梭江的东岸基本上都是橡胶林，而西岸则是勐仑保护区的核心区，林木茂盛，带有很浓郁的热带雨林风情和原始气息。

天生桥位于版纳的东部，地处椤梭江的支流墨者河的中游。“天生桥”顾名思义是一座天生的拱桥。其实它是一座山。远远看去，它像是一座拱桥横跨于两山之间、犹如一条翠绿的彩虹一般。“桥”高50米，宽40米，长60米。

在“桥”的中间，有一个自然形成的风洞，高50余米，有“一线天”的景观。在“桥”下，枯水季节有一大块篮球场般大小的平地，与曼着河的水流一分为二。

在这里除了观赏大自然鬼斧神刀的功夫外，可以在悬崖峭壁上开展速降和攀岩活动。

到下午1点多的时候便乘车返回景洪，准备踏上返程的路，结束了这次清新、自然的旅行！

注意事项：

1.为防备蚊虫和强烈的日光，雨伞就不用说了，还需准备驱蚊和防晒用品，防中暑药（例如霍香正气胶囊）都是不可缺少的。

2.游览时要尊重傣族和其他少数民族的生活习惯。

五月二日，到了昆明，在战友家里计划着自己的路线，可是找了好久都没有好的路线，想去腾冲，结果人满为患，不接团了。去丽江，这个时候人太多。就在晚上吃宵夜的时候，我想到了，去中甸，去香格里拉！

五月三日，我坐上了开往丽江的高快，打算在丽江跟散团去香格里拉。

晚上到了丽江，人真是多，一个不算太大的小城，一下涌进了这么多的人，让整个小城显得特别地拥挤。到处都是车，走到哪里都在堵车。人也一样，走到哪里都有很多的人挤在一块拍照，特别是在有古城里。拍出来的相片就已经不是你一个人了，是合影！

走在夜晚的古城里，让我感觉象到了阳朔，这两个小镇都差不多，只是丽江更大一些。酒吧里坐着来自全国各地的人，大家都想感受丽江的风情。那些穿着纳西族服装的姑娘和穿着酒保服装的小伙子们在用自己特有的方式吸引着来自五湖四海的朋友，热情的歌声让大家驻足观望。小河里的船灯也顺着河水流往歌声飘来的地方，好象也想加入到这种热闹的环境中来，跟大家一起唱，虽然它们是那么的娴静，不会说话，可是他一闪一闪的烛光却在告诉我们，它们正在歌唱。

五日早上起床，突然觉得天气变了，一下变得好冷，出门问导游，她说今天要去的景点只有零下一度。这次去香格里拉，一点准备也没有的我，身上最厚的一件衣服便是一件长袖的Ｔ恤，脚上也是一双凉鞋，只有夏天穿戴的我所必须要租上一件棉衣。

It was a fine day and the sun was bright.I visited the wenzhou zoo with my family.

We started at nine.After an hour bus took us to the zoo.How crowed the zoo was! We could see students.villagers,workers andso on everywhere.Most of them were young parents with their children.

There are hundreds of different kinds of animals in it . Elephants,bears,lions,monkeys and beautiful birds .Among them monkeys were children’s favourits.They jumped up and down,begged for food and ate something in the corner.Sometimes they even made faces at us .

早上九点，我们准备坐车到双廊古镇去游玩。一路上，我们欢声笑语。一个小时后，我们终于来到了双廊古镇。我们首先在洱海边找了一家馆子吃起小吃来，吃完小吃，就去洱海边照了几张相留影。接着准备登苍山了。

从昆明出发，坐了半小时飞机，晚上10：20我们到达了西双版纳。没来之前，妈妈和我介绍说这个地方很美，很美......所以值得期待。在这里要呆两天的时间，所以我想我要好好看，好好玩。

第二天起来早餐后小伍姐姐就带着我们来到野象谷，我们是坐缆车上去的，但是野象怕人所以它白天不出来，晚上出来，但是导游说偶尔白天也会出来，如果能见野象的话那将会是很幸运，很吉利，因为野象是西双版纳的吉祥物。我心里在想：来到这里，我是有多么期待能见到真正的野象啊。不过很遗憾，这天野象他还是很怕人，没有出来露脸。虽然没看到野象，但这原始森林里的新鲜空气和野象谷里迷人的风景已经给我留下深刻的印象了。

第二天我们还去版纳的原始森林公园，首先我们观看了原始剧场的民俗表演，很精彩。从表演场出来我们和可爱的小懒猴拍照，小懒猴很可爱，白天爱睡觉眼睛老闭着，他还爬到我爸爸的头上把老爸的帽子给摘下来了，我觉得好搞笑!

接着我们去了百鸟园，欣赏了鹦鹉表演，还拍了照片。随后来到蝴蝶园，我还第一次看见了叶子蝴蝶和快要出生的蝴蝶宝宝。

西双版纳真的是个美丽的让人向往的地方，这里主要分布的少数是傣族，晚上我们吃完丰盛傣族风味餐，还观看了大型歌舞表演《水舞源》，这是一台非常成功的演出，很好看，很震撼!

两天时间过得飞快，一眨眼就要离开这个美丽的地方，我很常不舍，也非常怀念!

8月11日我们来丽江的第六天，上午刚刚从观音峡回来，中午在一家纳西村民家吃的地道的纳西饭菜，闲话中听纳西司机说白沙古镇是纳西先民最早居住的地方，没怎么开发，所以有古色古香的味道。而且安静，没有一点商业气息，很值得一去，并且不知道为什么很多外国人更喜欢去那里。

说走咱就走，纳西人家吃过午饭，就直奔白沙古镇，一路经过一片美丽的油菜花地，午饭后有些发困的我们立刻被眼前的美景所吸引，兴奋地下了车去拍了不少照片，却始终找不到想要的感觉。不过却把瞌睡虫赶跑了。

来到白沙古镇大门口，看到一群纳西族的阿婆坐在大门口的右侧，跟前摆放着不少新鲜蔬菜，看我们拿着相机望向她们，就向我们摆手示意我们可以过去照相，我和雪儿立马兴奋地跑过去，阿婆们两侧挤了挤给我们让出两个位置，我和雪儿亲昵地与阿婆们合影留念，我身侧阿婆的手暖暖地，告诉我她今年78了。手传递的温暖让我的心柔柔的，善良的阿婆啊祝您永远健康长寿，虽然只是短短那么一瞬间就让我有了丝依恋。

古镇就在玉龙雪山下，远处望去蓝天、白云、雪山相呼应，未加装饰的小镇显得格外幽静。一切都透着古朴的气息。

一路前行果然不时地会看到外国人，似乎在不多的游客中就占了多半数，还有很多年轻的背包客骑着单车乱逛。各个都悠然自得。在这我也终于知道为什么外国人愿意来这里，因为这里没有一点商业的气息，因为这里更加自然，因为这里更加宁静。因为这里蓝天、白云、雪山、古镇还有淳朴的纳西人都是一体的。有一股灵魂相融的气息。

不远处一扇院落的门槛前正坐着一群老外，他们正在那休息，休闲的样子很是惹眼，老师示意我们过去照相，和老外招呼后，他们都很热情的给我们空开位置，我和雪儿凑了过去，一个老外也把我们摄入了他的相机，他们是我们的风景，而我和雪儿似乎也成了他们的一道风景。

不一定非得会说各族各国的语言，微笑就是最好的通行证。此刻我们都是自然的儿女，不分你我。

古镇大门正对着的这条路大概就是最繁华的路了，因为时间有限，我们没有再往小巷深处走，沿途看到许多染坊。民族韵味十足的布艺令人赏心悦目。等待风起，那飞洒飘扬的布就象云彩般将我们妆扮。

累了渴了，一家小院休息，小院静悄悄古色古香，原始韵味十足，门檐上挂晒着不少玉米和辣椒，几面墙上还画着东巴文和画，有些画还让我们联想争议颇多，院中花卉不少，旁侧的木架上挂着浮尘，斗笠和蓑衣。雪儿跑去摘下斗笠带在头上照相，而我盯上一个牛角摆弄半天，留个影。小院里我们自行玩了半天，依然没人过来，玩够、照相后越发的渴了，围着小木方桌休息，仿佛是自家的小院。此时才看见主人悠闲地不知从哪个门窜出，也不意外。似乎是彼此熟悉的朋友，怎么有点古代家不闭户，路不拾遗的境界。真象个悠然的世外桃源。我们点了他家冰酿的特别花茶，立马神清气爽，我和雪儿又盯上了小院的各种农具再次摆弄起来，玩得不亦乐呼。

出门看到一个小木车上堆满新鲜草垛，不知道是何用意，跑去坐上，似乎象儿时偷着坐人家马车一样，兴奋无比。青草杂乱却也散发着一种自然的清香。

白沙古镇，不虚此行！

结束了大理的游玩又开始了丽江之行。

丽江的主要居住民族是纳西族，男人被称为“胖金哥”，女人被称为“胖金妹”。这里和我们的家乡武汉不一样，他们以胖为美，以黑为贵。

我们的第一个游玩景点是丽江古城。由于丽江古城已被商业过度开发了（妈妈说的），丽江古城已经没有几栋能展现古代小镇风貌的房屋了。唯一能展现的就只有木府。木府在丽江相当于古代的皇宫，是古代丽江最高统治者——土司居住的地方。丽江古城的其他地方已经没什么好讲的了，因为它已经没有古代的那种生活气息了。

下一个目的地是玉龙雪山，在丽江纳西族人把玉龙雪山称为圣山。到现在还没有一个登山队能成功登上玉龙雪山的顶峰。玉龙雪山脚下是一望无际的草原。

我们在丽江的最后一个游览地是束河古镇。束河古镇里有三眼井。在古代的时候人们就已经懂得了环保。第一眼井里的水是用来饮用的，水流到第二眼井用来洗菜，剩下的水流到第三眼井用来洗衣服。真是佩服他们！

今年寒假，我们去了云南玩，爸爸开车，开了两天半，才到达了目的地，云南游记500字。我们一路往西走，经过了广西南宁，云南昆明等许多地方，终于在1月26日到达云南大理。我们本次旅行与往常的不同，以前，我们的旅行目标只有一两个，而且很轻松，在酒店很惬意。可是今年去云南旅游，可就不一样了，我们一共有三个大目标，而且不是在同一个市里，要到处跑，爸爸计算过，除了在大理的一天没开车，其他的9天，都是在路上，有恐怖的悬崖，还有陡峭的山路。大理、丽江、泸沽湖，三个目标，我最喜欢的就是大理。

在大理，我们的住处，纯粹就是一个客栈，里面有小院，有花有草，还可以通过窗户看见大理的眼睛——洱海。我们住在二楼最好的位置，旁边有一个观景平台，住在大理的两天半，我经常去观景平台上荡秋千。清晨，盼太阳悄悄露脸，慢慢地绽放出光芒；中午，看渔船泛舟水上，想坐上小小渔船近距离拥抱洱海；傍晚，赏彩霞送走太阳，让太阳投入苍山的怀抱；夜晚，望远处星光点点，愿满天繁星将夜晚点缀得更加绚烂。我喜欢大理的天，包容这里的人们，我喜欢大理的阳光，透过玻璃，照在我的身上。有人说过，上关阅花，下关听风，苍山踏雪，洱海赏月。

令我们期盼已久的春游终于到了，老师带我们兴高采烈地去云南民族村春游。

到了民族村，平静的湖面犹如一面硕大的银镜，仿佛仙境一般。远远望去，映入眼帘的便是连绵起伏的西山山峦。一山绿，一山青，一山浓，一山淡，远处的云雾遮挡着山峰，仿佛给山姐姐披上了一块透明的纱巾，真是一幅优美的山水画。

欣赏完这些美丽的景色，我们就跟着导游去目睹各个民族的风采。首先，我们来到了满族村。满族的衣服和装饰跟电视剧《还珠格格》里的一模一样，满族姑娘们还会玩“空竹”呢!接下来，我们又来到了回族村，回族的服饰可真漂亮呀!他们的特点是：女子们都围着面纱。哦，对了，我还认识了织布机、石磨和犁当中的一种工具“耒”呢!看完了这些，我们又来到了佤族寨。佤族最有特点的是：那里的人们都很黑，还不分男女都留着长发。佤族的乐器是鼓，他们的鼓跟我们常见的鼓可不一样，所以我们大家都好奇地敲了一遍，声音非常好听。接下来到了佤族的一块墓地，是纪念两个人的，吓得我们赶紧从墓地旁的一把楼梯跑到了布衣族村。布衣族的衣服也很有特点，它的色调以青蓝色或白色为主，整体色调淡雅朴素，与自然界保持着天然的和谐。

游完了村寨，导游给我们每个小组发了一幅画，让我们用水粉涂色。我们拿到了画，赶紧做好了准备工作，就开始涂色。经过我们的一番努力，画终于涂好了。我们把画放到了旅行包上面，又开始了呼拉圈比赛。我们兴致勃勃地按照要求开始了比赛。比赛结束了，可我们还没玩够。于是，我们就来到草地上打滚儿，真是无比快乐。

时间一分一秒地过去了，太阳都偏西了，我们才依依不舍地离开了民族村，美丽的民族村真令我们流连忘返。
