在一个经济不发达的小村庄里，有一所乡村小学，里面只有一位老师，一个班。当所有的孩子都在认真地听课时，危险正在向他们走来。一个调皮的放牛娃在教室的附近玩火，结果火烧到教室里面了。所有同学顿时成了热锅上的蚂蚁，在教室里跑来跑去。有的年纪大的同学趁火势不大，冲出了教室；有的小同学则蹲在地上嚎啕大哭，什么都不做；还有的人镇定地说：同学们，不要慌。这个人就是他们平时最敬爱的老师。同学们立刻安静下来，老师先一手抱一个孩子冲出了教室，又组织大同学一起去救小同学。老师和大同学一次又一次从教室出来。最后，大同学已经筋疲力尽，累得汗流浃背，没有体力再救人了。而老师的胡子、头发已经烧光了，裤子和衣服也被烧得破破烂烂的，他的左手也受伤了。此时，教室里只剩下两名女生了，老师毅然决然地冲进火海，面对两名女同学，老师报出其中一位颤颤巍巍地走了出去。当老师再回去时，房子已经支撑不住了，轰的一声，老师和那位女同学葬身在火海里。同学们像失去亲人一样哭了出来，最后被抱出来的女孩哭得最厉害，因为只有她知道，和她待在最后的那位女孩是老师唯一的女儿！

看完这篇短文，我潸然泪下。

因为这位教师和《桥》中的老汉十分相似，给了别人生还的机会，却不先救自己的孩子。最后，所有的人都活着，而他们却和自己的至亲牺牲了。这位教师舍己救人的精神令我感动，我想向教师和老汉致敬，如果没有你们，很多人都活不下去。
