我很荣幸能有机会在这里做演讲，和大家谈谈这给我们健康和生活带来不好影响的灰霾天气。我们呼吸这被污染过的空气，让我们遭受肺、肝疾病。另外，由于这天气，航班被迫取消。各种交通工具相撞在一起，造成很大的毁灭和伤害。

我觉得是时候我们该做些什么了。我们应该乘坐地铁或公共汽车而不是汽车来减少二氧化碳。政府应该实施更多针对污染的相关法律的。

总之，我们都盼望着能呼吸到更新鲜的空气，过着更快乐的生活。每个人都应该参与进来。

Friend plays important role in our lives. Everyone needs his or her own

friends. Some people make friends easily but some do not. And “friend” means

differently to people. Some people think friends should stay together all the

time, but some others think that share and support is the real meaning of

friend. From my point of view, friend is the person who will always be with you

no matter what happens. It’s the person who can share your happiness as well as

sorrows.

竹山是我家，环保靠大家。竹山是生养我们的第二母亲，我们在她的怀抱中长大。她有山有水，有蓝天有白云，是一个生态文明的城镇。但要想让母亲更加美丽，还需要我们共同的努力，通过提高环保意识，把“外修生态、内修人文”根植每个人的心田。

提高意识很重要。我们中国是一个文明古国，拥有五千年的历史，同时也积淀了许多传统美德。仁者乐水，智者乐水，建设一个美好家园是我们共同责任和价值追求。为了实现目标首要提高自身的环保意识。现在仍然有人去做一些不爱护环境的行为，使我们的母亲不再亮丽。我们要杜绝这些破坏环境的行为。要通过文明意识的提高增强建设生态文明的自觉，努力为“十星高地、秦巴强县”贡献力量，点亮我们心中的绿色小康梦。

付出行为很重要。“空谈误国、实干兴邦”。美好竹山的建设需要我们付出行动。保护环境其实很简单，它就体现在生活中的点滴小事之中，如见到垃圾弯弯腰，坚持步行骑车去学校，看到破坏环境就当即制止，当好志愿者去宣传保护环境的重要性，积极去参加社会各类保护环境中公益活动等等。这些不是很简单吗?只要我们每个人都行动一小步，竹山就会向生态文明迈进一大步。

共同参与很重要。保护环境不是一个人的事情，而是我们大家共同的责任，是我们共同的梦想与追求。竹山是全国文明城市，我们正在创建环保模范城、森林园林城，“五城联创”“绿满竹山”活动的开展激发了竹山人民的热情。这些目标都需要共同去参加、共同去努力、共同去完成，让目标变成现实。要让大家知道保护环境的重要性，明白好环境的来之不易。

外修生态需要我们共同维护家园的美丽，让绿色成为竹山的底色，成为我们共同的希望。内修人文需要我们共同维护精神的崇高，象保护眼睛一样呵护心灵的纯洁，让十星文明在荆楚大地绽放光芒。保护环境是我们的准则，关爱竹山是我们的责任。你看那静静的堵河，象母亲一样把我们紧紧环抱，生活在一个文明环保的城市里是多么的幸福呀。从我做起，从现在做起，让我们为竹山的美好建设，为明天的绿色繁荣而努力奋斗!

这天，大臣和国王正在商讨国家大事，大臣对国王说：“国王陛下，我们的臣民已经很多了，可以把人类一族消灭了。”国王思索了一会儿，觉得大臣的话有点道理，于是他认可了大臣的建议。但他还有点疑惑。因为人类那么强大，而他的臣民又那么渺小，实力实在是太悬殊了。所以他向大臣提出了疑问。大臣笑着给国王说：“陛下，我们早已经找到办法。我们只需拿一点钱给每个国家的环保局 ，然后我们再把能看到的人类绑回到我们国家的熔炼炉，把他们变成灰，那样我们就……",就在这时，国王问：“我们没有熔炼炉啊?大臣说：“我们不是建了一个吗?”国王说：“算了，你们先回去吧。”

过了三天，垃圾国王在朝庭上对文武百官宣告了对人类发起进攻的命令。

顿时，人类被消灭了几十万，而垃圾王国因此强大了很多。当人类意识到事情的严重性的时候，已经被消灭三百万人。这时，垃圾人已经高两米，宽一米了。并且刀枪不入。他们可以说是势如破竹，一连打下了美国四十个州。他们得胜的原因是在城市到处都是垃圾臣民，这使得和人类打仗时里应外合，把人类打了个措手不及。

但到了全世界只剩下十五亿左右的人时，人类发明了能够打穿垃圾身体的武器，那就是中武器。但就在人类快扳回局势的时候，垃圾国的研究员又发明了火武器。但是人类知道水可以灭火，所以他们故意把垃圾引进了埋伏圈。在埋伏圈里，人类使用水先把火武器浇熄，然后用中武器把垃圾给杀了个片甲不留。由于被歼灭的是垃圾国的主力军，所以垃圾国的国王、大臣和士兵听到这个消息的时候惊恐万分，垃圾国里因此混乱。而人类则趁此机会把另外的给杀了个一干二净，并且生擒垃圾国王。把垃圾国王推上了端头台。从此，垃圾和人类的战争结束了。

在打败了垃圾之后，人类也意识到不能够再制造垃圾了，并且也要加大环保力度。爱护地球，爱护我们赖以生存的环境。

但人类却没意识到臭氧层正在消失，下一个和人类对决的将是紫外线。和紫外线比起来垃圾只是小儿科。

如果人类再不保护环境，将会遇到更强大的敌人!

The first day for me to go to high school, I felt so excited, because I came into the new stage of my life. The school asked the students to live in the dormitory, so I had to move out and left my parents. This was such a big challenge for me, because I never left home before. I needed to learn to be independent, what’s more, I also learned to get along with others. High school was like a little society for me and I handed the problems well. The other challenge was from study. I had to learn so many subjects and fought for my future college. I met difficulties and felt frustrated, but I told myself not to give up and I got over the difficulties. High school life is not easy, but we grow up quickly.

我上高中的第一天，感到很兴奋，因为我来到了生命的新阶段。学校要求学生住宿舍，所以我搬离了家里，离开了父母。这对于我来说是一个很大的挑战，因为我从来没有离开过家里。我需要学着去独立，而且，也要学着去和别人相处。高中就像一个小社会，我把问题处理得很好。另一个挑战来自学习。我要学习很多的科目，为了将来的大学而奋斗。我遇到了困难，感到受挫，但是我告诉自己不要放弃，克服了困难。高中生活不容易，但是我们会快速长大。

How I Spent My Summer Vacation

The summer vacation had come round again. I was happy that I could forget about school at least for a while. Lest I fool around all through this summer vacation, I made a plan as to how to spend it. First, I thought I should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that I could have a better understanding of them. Then I thought I should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. It stood to reason that with such a good plan I should make the best of my vacation time. I did, because I lived up to what I had planned.
