I went to Beijing more than eight times. Beijing is the capital of China. It’s a big city. I am very familiar with Beijing. It takes an hour and forty minutes from Nantong to Beijing by plane. My family visited the Great Wall, the Summer Palace, the Palace Museum, the Beihai Park, the Space Museum, etc. I went to the countryside of Beijing to go boating and fishing. The main function of public libraries is to provide books for people to

read.In a library,there are books on different subjects,such as Chinese

history,fine art,science,English literature,and so on.There are also works fo

fiction.

The public libraries are crowded with people on weekdays as well as Sundays

because many people,especially students who want to consult reference books for

their school work,know that they could at least learn something there.

Besides reading in the library,we can also borrow books with library

cards.But books on loan had to be returned within a couple of weeks.As far as I
