当然，放弃的选择是一种苦难，但我们必须用心审度，什么对自己来说更为重要，做出选择，然后放弃其他，不要再回首想那些已放弃的东西，把精力集中于你正在做的事。

站在这里的我，已选择了在这样大规模的比赛中挑战自我，所以我必须放弃十天的正常功课和没有压力的轻松感。但我依然高兴，因为适宜的放弃弃之后，我更加专注于自己的选择。

How time flies! It has been a year since you went to teach in Sichuan. How are you getting on? I miss you so much that I often remember those days when we were together. Thank you for teaching me so well.

我们这一个学期，换了一位新的英语老师，他姓许。

初见时，只见他西装革履，器宇轩昂，嘴下有颗痣，算不上帅气，也算不上貌丑。可我一见他就心生厌恶，也说不出为什么。

外表也就那样了，但不得不说他确实是位好老师，讲课细致，该记的笔记也会特别尽心尽责地书写在黑板上。规定要背的内容他会全盘监督，可以说是十分之一丝不苟了。

早就听说许老师很严厉，真正接触他之后便发现，这位老师的严厉之中还是有几分平易近人的，不是人们想象中的那种恶魔。

最后不得不说的是许老师的字了。他常说：“字如其人。”甚至特地为此给我们上过一节课。但是他自己的字着实令叶某（我）不敢恭维。笔画相连，说白了就是连笔字，说是连笔字还算是美化，其实就是潦草，很多时候都极难辨认。抄笔记的我们着实是叫苦连天！

许老师，您常言“字如其人”。可您的字那么潦草，您说说，您是怎样的人呢？

今天，随着医疗的发展，人们能够延缓衰老。对于名人来讲，他们使用高科技来保持年轻，看到他们常年在屏幕上保持不变的容颜，观众也想要模仿名人，他们相信通过使用高科技就能一直保持年轻。然而在我看来，保持年轻的方法就是拥有一颗年轻的心，一些人表面看起来年轻，但是在他们的心里，他们足够的老，并且拒绝去与时俱进。对于另外一些人来讲，虽然他们有皱纹，但是他们对一切都保持好奇，并且愿意去改变。我的爷爷年纪大，但是他对一切时尚的东西都了如指掌，有时候我不得不问他关于新的事物。年轻的心是永葆青春的方法。
