During the winter vacation, nothing is different for my life. i wake up 11 oclock am everyday, after a washing, i have a good lunch with my parents. next i play computer games till the time to have supper. after have dinner. i go on playing till 2 oclock am, and then go to sleep with tired. this is one dull day of my winter vacation.

But i havent bored all the time. sometimes i read the books, sometime i listen to the music or the radio in the bed, because it was very cold outside and snowy all the day. and i also meat some of my good friends during the vacation, we have a very long talk about the life of each other in the past year and play table tennis tegether. and i watched the spring festival party of the cctv in the last seconds of the 2004 year! i think this is the thing most people of china doing at that time.

I went to Beijing on vacation with my parents last month and we stayed there for a week.

To my surprise, Beijing is such a modern city that my parents and I all admire the development of it these years. 我不怨恨父母，因为父母也是为我们好。如果父母在家照顾我和姐姐，那么我们从哪里得到生活费用，尽管心中有千万个不愿意，但还是理解父母的。我知道父母挣钱不容易，所以我不像别的孩子那样伸手向父母要钱买这个买那个，更不会用父母的汗水换来的钱去包夜上网、玩游戏。

我学会了从生活中坚强起来，不能总是依靠父母，父母不可能养我们一辈子，不要遇到什么事都要父母替我们去解决，要学会让自己独立。有的孩子就因为父母过分溺爱导致坏习惯、坏毛病多。这些原因也是自己和父母造成的，不能怪任何人。

虽然从我七岁起就很少和父母一起相处，父母的那份爱却从来没有减少过，姨妈和姨父给了我许许多多的关爱，是我一辈子都不会忘记的。我会永远的埋藏在我内心的深处。父母每次回来我都很高兴。

可是当父母又要去外地为我们兄妹三个拼命的打拼时，我就会有一种依依不舍的感觉。我总是会一个人躲起来哭，因为爸爸妈妈的那份关爱之情我比任何一个同龄人得到的少之又少，但我不想爸爸妈妈跟着我一起难过。可是我尽管舍不得父母离开我，仍然要装着很开心的样子。因为多年的独立生活我已经变得很坚强。

有的孩子觉得父母给自己的太少了，我认为人应该要学会满足，不要对父母给的抱着不满的心。当然，我从来不会怪父母，我反而更加感激父母，因为是他们让我学会坚强，不像别的孩子总是依赖父母。依赖父母的人是很难学会独立的，我就是在坚强中、满足中、感激中学会独立的。

因为这些可以磨炼我的意志，可能会使我很累，但上天赐予我的则是一份独一无二的礼物——坚强。

Dear Sir,

I am a December 2003 graduate from the University of San Francisco (USF) with a bachelors degree in International Business. As part of my career planning, I am very interested in supplementing my international business education with a basic knowledge of the Chinese language. This I hope will help me enter into business commerce with business organizations partnering with Chinas economic development.

I already have information from BLCU and hope to study there for at least one full year starting with this summers program continuing through the fall and spring semester 2006. Can your office advise me if such scholarships might be available to me?

I have been studying Chinese for one year now. I am not sure what level I belong to. I was told that there will be an HSK test in our university in September. I am planning to attend the test. But I dont know if the result of the test is recognized by your university. If so, can it be a help for me to apply for the scholarship?

“草长莺飞二月天，拂堤杨柳醉春烟”。一场春雨过后，我独自漫步在湿漉漉的羊肠小道上，呼吸着雨后泥土中散发出的清香气味，欣赏着大自然雨后的美景。

远处的高山像一位躺着的巨人。山下的一座座房子，掩映在绿荫花影之中。河上的小草绿了，野花开了，树木吐出了新芽。这一切，看上去就像是一块五彩缤纷的大花毯。或许，这是春姑娘不小心掉下的头巾?还是她花裙上掉下的花边?那草上、花上、树上不正是春姑娘那晶莹剔透的泪珠吗?

我沉醉在这幅美景之中。突然，一阵“嘎嘎”的叫声把我惊醒，原来是一群鸭子在流水中尽情嬉戏;挖沙船的马达在“轰轰”作响;树上的小鸟也在欢快歌唱。一阵微风吹过，就像春姑娘的纤纤玉手，把河水拂起阵阵微波，河水刹时显得更明亮、更清澈了!“啪”，一条小鱼跃出水面又钻了回去，给

这如诗如画的美景又平添了几分情趣。

河中小岛上也别有一番景象。岛上的树木都伸出一只只新生娇嫩的手，和冬爷爷告别，并迎接春姑娘的到来。岛上有一片空地，一个老人在草地上练太极拳，中间的八角小亭有几个人还在谈天说地。

田地里，几个农民伯伯在农田里不停地锄地，“一年之计在于春”呀!刚被春雨洗刷的麦子太贪婪了，喝得饱饱的还不算，正准备再迎接下一场春雨呢!那小草好象知足了，吃饱了，就伸出小手，努力挣扎泥土的束缚。一些小花展着腰枝，在春风中翩翩起舞，在迎接春天的到来!岸上的柳树像一个个英勇的战士，挺直身子，守卫着它们生育的土地。

突然，一滴水珠落在我手心上，我一摸，湿湿的，这不正是春天的象征吗?
