Wuthering Heights was written by Emily Bronte, it published in 1847.But at that time, it seemed to hold little promise, selling very poorly and receiving only a few mixed reviews. I found this in our school library, I chose this book because the title attracted me. Wuthering Heights is structured around two parallel love stories, the first half of the novel centering on the love between Catherine and Heathcliff, while the less dramatic second half features the developing love between young Catherine and Hareton. In contrast to the first, the latter tale ends happily, restoring peace and order to Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange. In the story, the two houses, Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange, represent opposing worlds and values.

I spent twenty days reading this book. After reading this book, I felt for Heathcliff at first. Heathcliff begins his life as a homeless orphan on the streets of Liverpool, and then he tyrannized by Hindley Earnshaw. But he becomes a villain when he acquires power and returns to Wuthering Heights with money and the trappings of a gentleman. His malevolence proves so great and long—lasting. As he himself points out, his abuse of Isabella—his wife is purely sadistic, as he amuses himself by seeing how much abuse she can take and still come cringing back for more.

Catherine represents wild nature, in both her high, lively spirits and her occasional cruelty. She loves Heathcliff so intensely that she claims they are the same person. However, her actions are driven in part by her social ambitions, which initially are awakened during her first stay at the Lintons, and which eventually compel her to marry Edgar. Catherine is free—spirited, beautiful, spoiled, and often arrogant, she is given to fits of temper, and she is torn between her both of the men who love her. The location of her coffin symbolizes the conflict that tears apart her short life. She is buried in a corner of the Kirkyard. In contrast to Catherine, Isabella Linton—Catherine’s sister—in—law represents culture and civilization, both in her refinement and in her weakness. Ultimately, she ruins her life by falling in love with Heathcliff. He never returns her feelings and treats her as a meretool in his quest for revenge on the Linton family.

Just as Isabella Linton serves as Catherine’s foil, Edgar Linton serves as Heathcliff’s. Edgar grows into a tender, constant, but cowardly man. He is almost the ideal gentleman. However, this full assortment of gentlemanly characteristics, along with his civilized virtues, proves useless in Edgar’s clashes with his foil. 编者用六章分别讲了教学方法与教学策略、英语教学方法的实践操作、英语教学过程的策略及实践操作、英语知识教学的策略及实践操作、英语技能教学的策略及实践操作和英语教学方法与策略的行动研究。

该书对相关理论进行了系统、简要的讲解,主要的内容是对英语教学实践的指导与分析。每一节都采用“准备-学习-实践”三部式结构,不仅讲解理论,而且注重教学实践。在每一节的理论讲解之后,都设计了“实践分析”专栏,以强化理论与实践的直接联系。在看每一节的时候,我都是跟着该书的编排形式在不断地调整自己的思维。在准备环节,编者会给出一个案例,让读者思考,遇到此类教学问题该如何解决,此时,我的大脑就会回忆我在教学中有没有遇到过,我又是如何解决的,然后思考怎样才能解决得更好;在学习环节,编者给我们提供了最系统的理论知识,此时我就很认真地研读每一条理论,认真理解每一个概念,为今后的教学活动积累必要的理论知识;在实践部分,我仔细地看了每个实践活动,对于一些比较有价值的活动自己在教学中也尝试着使用。

本书的优点是:1)语言浅显易懂。不像平常的教育着作,带着很多专业术语。2)内容很实用。书中不但简要地介绍教育理论,还举出大量的课堂活动例子,很适合各个层次的外语教师参考。3)描述很细致。书中谈到英语教学中很多细节的东西。4)编排符合读者习惯,发人深思。书中每一章节都会在适当的位置上安排一个文本框,给出一些名词解释或让读者讨论或思考一个问题。如:请讨论,您如何看待Practice makes perfect.它与数量原则有什么关系?训练中如何把握训练的量?

这本书让我羞愧于自己在教学理论和策略方面知识的匮乏,更让我明白英语教学的成功应体现在“培养学习者在真实的情景中有效使用英语的能力”我是一个率性而为的人,很多时候只是随心而教学,不会严格遵循某一教学模式。所以一直以来,教学成绩都没有取得重大突破,而我本人也一直为此烦恼,这本书教会我许多有理论支持的教学方法。如:语法翻译法、直接教学法、认知法、自然法、社团教学法、沉默教学法、全身反应法、暗示教学法。从书中我悟到了想成为一名优秀的教师必须充分认识到“教必有法”的原则性和“教务定法”的灵活性特点之间的统一关系。教师不应拘于一法一策,囿于一方一圆,而是要因地制宜,因材施教,将各类方法加以组合和调配,在吸收、借鉴已有教学方法的基础上,创造性地发挥,逐步形成富有教师个人特色的教学风格。在教学实践中,我根据教学环境、教学目标、教学内容、学生的需求和自身的教学风格适丰富了一下教学方法和策略,收到了一定的效果。

我最受启发的是书中的如下观点:呈现学习任务时,应当向学习者描述任务中的问题发生的物理背景、组织和社会文化背景。并且,问题的呈现必然是有趣的或吸引人的,目的是引导学习者的积极参与。让学习者体现到伸手可及的成功;教学活动的设置应考虑学习者的兴趣,需要和情感;老师可以和学习者商量课堂活动的内容并建议学习者把他们感兴趣的学习材料带回班上。让我陷入长久的沉思的是这个观点:“personalities and relationships are important for motivation”即:教师的性格及其与学习者之间的良好关系在调动学习者学习方面很重要。文中提到“即使我们不能完全改变自己去满足不同学习者的需要,但我们可以主动了解学习者感兴趣的话题,如:流行音乐,年轻人喜欢的电影,新车,科技的发展等。看到这里,对于学生为什么没有积极参与我自以为精心准备的课堂活动,我似乎找到了答案:设计活动时,我只是从教材内容和个人兴趣出发。当学生冷淡对待活动时,我只会埋怨大的学习环境不好,埋怨学生不配合,极少去思考是否学生对内容感兴趣,是否活动的难度适合学生,课堂指令是否清晰等因素。文中还指出:即使学生会使用老师准备好的语言结构,也明确活动的目的,但如果他们缺乏信心,也不会积极参与…所以,对学生及时得体的鼓励相当重要,借用李阳老师的话就是鼓励学生 “Enjoy losing face. Enjoy making mistakes ”总之,要踏上英语教学的成功之路,进行方方面面的准备工作是必要的,

对于以后的教学,我将努力改变陈旧的教学理念,尝试新的教学模式,自始至终把学生放在中心位置:把激发学生的学习热情放在首位,发挥交际教学的优势。是时候改变沉闷的课堂气氛,还学生一个愉快的学习环境了!是时候彻底解放学生,还学生一个可以自主学习的空间了!

其实,单纯阅读只是一个浅层理解词句的过程,我们可能在阅读中很感动,很受启发,但是,几个星期或几个月后,可能我们的思维又回复原状;若把我们的所思所想写下来,联系我们的教学或生活实际加以变通,可能会更长久地影响我们;而如果把我们学到的经验及时应用在教学中或生活中,我们的学生或我们自己则会终身受益,这才是阅读的目的。“热爱阅读、高效阅读、创新阅读”让我们互勉!

今天，我读了美国著名作家海明威的小说《老人与海》，这本书给我留下了深刻的印象，我十分佩服书中老渔夫的意志，他让我懂得了一个人一定要有坚持不懈的精神，才能获得成功。

《老人与海 》描写的是一个年近六旬的老渔夫，在一次单身出海打鱼时，钓到了一条大鱼，却拉不上来。老渔夫同大鱼周旋了几天后，才发现这是一条超过自己渔船数倍的大马林鱼，虽然明知难以取胜，但仍不放弃。后来又因大马林鱼伤口上的鱼腥味引来了几群鲨鱼抢食，但老人不愿这样放弃，最终突出重围，将大鱼的骨头带回了渔港，让其他渔夫佩服不已。

当我读到爷爷与鲨鱼进行激烈的搏斗时，我真为爷爷担心，可是爷爷，总是保持着乐观的精神去面对一些极大的困难，看到这里，我不由得想起自己。每当我遇到了一些困难时，总是觉得很不顺心，觉得很烦，很想逃避现实。再看看桑提阿果爷爷，不管遇到任何困难也毫不退缩，而是勇敢地去面对!

做人也应该这样，不要一幅贪生怕死的样子，要对自己有信心。即使我们遇到重重困难，也绝不应该让它给打倒，应该勇敢地去消灭它。

1719年，英国小说之父——丹尼尔·笛福完成了一部长篇小说《鲁滨逊漂流记》。小说主要讲述了出身于英国之家却向往着海洋冒险的主人公鲁滨逊，在海难中逃生宇荒岛上，通过自己不断的尝试与智慧一次有一次的制作出了桌子椅子，在之后的野人之战中，鲁滨逊意外“获得”了一个仆人“星期五”。28年后鲁滨逊凭借自己的智慧与勇气终于回到了英国。

当读完这本书时，我不由得震撼：也许当我也遇到这种情况时，我可能会惊慌失措，一个劲地跑，却怎么也跑不出这荒岛，便大哭起来。没错，现实生活中，可能会有许多人会像我一样，最后落个一辈子都在荒岛。

现实生活，就像一个大网，有甜有苦有酸：当人们来到甜地时，会很自私的像一辈子都在甜蜜度过；当人们来到苦地时，会恨不得离开这个鬼地方；当人们来到酸地时，会一个劲的喊着酸，却怎么也逃不过酸的折磨。

人类，就是这样。嘴里说着自己是高级动物，是世界上最高贵的。这又何尝不是呢？遇到一点点挫折，就会有轻生的念头。人类啊，如果我们能够学会鲁滨逊那种敢于同恶劣环境作斗争、热爱生活、热爱生命的精神该多好啊！那有何尝不是呢？我们现在的生命与鲁滨逊相比，是美好的、是幸福的、是丰富多彩的，可人们偏就这么自私，将自己的生活弄得凌乱、肮脏就算了，还企图想将别人的生活弄糟，导致世界大乱，无辜的小动物也受到了牵连，被人们狠心的虐杀。

冰心在给《穆斯林的葬礼》写国际版的序言时，她说在读这本书之前，几乎对穆斯林一无所知。自己亲自看过之后，我深深表示赞同，我缺乏对其他民族和宗教的了解。小说大概讲述了一个北京玉器家族两代人的故事，章节交错的方式，让故事有穿越时空的感觉。讲述民国时的故事，让我想起了老北京的那些各行各业的老字号和文化;讲述北大燕园的景色，让我对北大和学生时代有些感伤;讲述避难伦敦，让我想起上个世纪的世界战争。当然，最最重要的还是主人公韩新月的命运和与楚雁潮老师之间的爱情。新月还是死了，带着遗憾走了。但是让我们明白了一个真理：爱情以及人性中美好的东西是可以超越宗教和种族的，虽然在现实中经常会被扼杀，而正因为现实的残酷，才越发觉得这些东西的珍贵。

一本厚厚的书，承载的是一段沉甸甸的感情，《穆斯林的葬礼》是一本好书，值得一看。

时间过得真快！一转眼，寒假已经过去一大半。回想起我在寒假看过的书，《鲁滨孙漂流记》最让我念念不忘。我很难想象，主人公竟然只和一条狗在一个到处是野人和野兽的荒岛生存了那么久，最后还被成功送回了自己的国家。对此，我感到非常震惊、甚至震撼。

鲁滨孙本是坐船出游的，却不料船出了事故。他被迫和他的狗在一座孤岛上生存。他们先是遇到了野人，然后开始做防卫设施。通过阅读，我了解到他在荒岛生活的经历，学到了许多生存的技巧。例如生火、打猎、捕鱼……当然，我还学到了：人都需要一些朋友，平时不能懒惰。

有时候我想，如果是我去那儿，没有手机、没有超市、没有过多的食物，我肯定活不过三天！而他竟然存活了那么多年，我对他简直佩服得五体投地！要不是有人坐船经过，我坚信他可以在岛上生存一辈子！

我怀着无比激动的心情读完了《鲁滨逊漂流记》这本书。

《鲁滨逊漂流记》书中主要写了鲁滨逊的航海历险，他被吹到了一个岛上，自己丰衣足食，获取食物，还当了一回“老师”，他眼睁睁地看着野人吃掉自己的同伴，自己造了木船，还发现了许多矿，在岛上建了两个家。最后，历经千辛万苦，终于如愿以偿地回到了故乡。

“不管多么困难，也要有活下去的意志!”我大声地读完了鲁滨逊说的最后一名话，懂得了这本书的真谛，窗外细细的雨，凉爽的风，伴我读完了这本书的最后一句话，我心中不由地产生了一种莫名的感慨。

我佩服鲁滨逊活下去的意志，佩服鲁滨逊那顽强不屈的精神，佩服鲁滨逊……

我读完了这情节曲折，连绵起伏的故事时，被它感动了，被它震撼了，这是心灵的震动，心灵的呼唤。

任性、倔强、娇气、依赖已经成为了当今社会许多青少年的最大缺点，依赖父母、依赖学校已经成为了他们的习惯。试问，如果父母不在了，这些青少年能不能靠自己的双手来取得劳动成果呢?这些性格已经成为了他们致命的弱点。

读完了这本书。忽然，我懂得了人生中的每一分每一秒都是宝贵的。人生如一条小溪，会遇到不同的困难与艰辛，如果没有了困难，一路畅通无阻，那样的人生也就毫无价值和意义了……

我在看见她舅母对待她时恶毒的言语以及她舅母三个儿女的行为，看到简被他们几人欺负，我的眼睛不由得一酸，心也有些疼痛。之后又再次扪心自问：“如果我是简我能坚持么?我能像简那样长大后你不去愤世嫉俗么?”我相信我不会。因为从小我的环境太好了。从小便是在爸爸妈妈爷爷奶奶的宝贝下长大。从没有受过苦，受过累。之后，在一位善意的女仆的帮助下，她去了那所学校。在那所条件艰苦的学校里，简刻苦的学习，她也学得很快。没有抱怨过，只有感觉有些许的宽慰，不知是不是因为在她舅母家的痛苦日子让她感觉现在的生活反而很好。
