My father used to be a heavy somker.He smoked more than 20 cigarets each

day;therefore,he was the polluter wherever he went.My mother and I tried to

persuade him to give it up.He gave it up many times but each time only for a few

of my mother,and he threw his cigarets into the dustbin.The effect of his

declaration lasted only for two days.Then I found him smoking again when he

Last winter he got pneumonia.When he was well again,the doctor ordered him

The joyous Mid-Autumn Festival was celebrated on the fifteenth day of the

eighth moon, around the time of the autumn equinox(秋分). Many referred to it

This day was also considered as a harvest festival since fruits, vegetables

and grain had been harvested by this time and food was abundant. Food offerings

Transportation has been greatly changed in the past few years. In ancient days, people used to travel by horse or carriage. The journey was often tiring and tedious. Then people had buses, trains and ships, which could shorten the time of the long-distance trip. Now we have not only more private cars, but also planes and high-speed rails. All of these modern transports could offer us a quick and pleasant travel. Thus, more and more people enjoy traveling very much these days. Recently, the news about the famous fast food company got bankrupted in

Taiwan was spread in Wechat. While in mainland, less people know about the truth

and the fast food company still works well. Chinese food problem exists all the

time, even the government has made some rules to forbid the illegal business,

still many manufacturers produce bad food for making more profit. The fast food

company doesn’t care about the market in Taiwan. Its spokeman said that their

main market was in mainland, and a lot of people were eating their food. Hearing

this, we surely will be angry. If everybody join the team to refuse to buy their

products, then the fast food company will be kicked out. Only in this way can we

protect our health and benefit.

One night Mr Lee was driving his wife home from work. She was a nurse in a

hospital. It was almost midnight and she was quite tired out. She soon fell

into the ambulance and taken to hospital.

The policemen took down details of the accident. Mr Lee and the lorry

driver told them all they could remember. The policemen thanked them for their

help. Mr and Mrs Lee got into their car and continued their journey home.

One day the sun and the wind had a quarrel.The sun said he was stronger

I have many friends, but Jim is one of my best friends. He is not handsome,

but kind-hearted. We know each other at primary school. He was the tallest in

our class at that time. He is good at study and playing basketball, while bad at

playing table tennis. Everytime he has delicious food, he will give it to me.

Moreover, whenever I feel sad, he will play with me and comfort me. However, he

is not spoilt me. For example, everytime I meet difficulties in study, I would

like to copy his, but no matter what I say, he never give his homework to me to

copy. Instead he teaches how to do it. All in all, no matter what difficulties I

meet, he will help me. It is him make me realize that a friend in need is a

The people I respect the most is my father. He is a doctor. He always busy

Firstly,i descide to finish my homework more carefully than before.And pay

Now, the summer holiday is coming to the end. I really spend a rich but

happy holiday. As a junior student, I am not totally free in the summer holiday,

finish. Besides, I have to go to the English and mathtraining class, because I

There is an old story about Spring Festival. It is said that the monster, named

Nian, will attack people from time to time. In order to drive it away, people

afraid of the sound of the firecrackers and the color red; dare not to come any

more. In order to memorialize this day, our ancestors decided that the first

lunar calendar day of the Chinese Year is the Spring Festival.

During the Spring Festival, all the member of the family will get together

on the eve to have a big dinner. Fish, apple, noodle, dumplings, poke, chicken,

candies and so on are indispensable on the table. Fish stands for wealth and

rich of the coming year, apple stands for doing things smoothly, noodle stands

for good health and long live, as to the others, they all symbolize for the

lucky and happiness of the coming year.

Children are the happiest ones during the Spring Festival, not only they

can have lots of companies but also they can have lucky money on the festival.

With the lucky money, they can do whatever they want, such as to set off the

firecrackers, wear new clothes, use their lucky money to buy the things they

want; this is the best part of the Spring Festival, isn’t it?

The Spring Festival is not only means the beginning of the brand-new year,

but also carrying the best wish of the people’s. We are hoping in the New Year

our wish will come true, our life will become better. Anyway, the most

meaningful thing of the Spring Festival is that we spend the time with the

family, the people we love and we know that’s all about.
