意外的惊喜：妈妈下班回家送了一盆我期待已久的含羞草给我，我会好好养护它的，每天帮它浇水，仔细观察它的生长情况，我还可以用显微镜来观察它的叶子哦。

我的英语外教长着鹰钩鼻，白色的皮肤，一个大大的嘴，眼睛炯炯有神。

再一次上英语外教课，老师给我们做游戏，这个游戏又可以学英语，又可以玩，各个同学都玩得很过瘾。是这样的：老师把一二大组叫TEST1，三四大组叫TEST2，先是TEST1回答问题，再是TESE回答问题，每个人只能回答一次问题。就是把电脑缺的单词补上去，如果答对的话就可以在大方格中选一个小方格，里面分别有5分，10分，20分，30分，而且还有两个台风。台风可以把对方得分是降为零，这样玩起来很刺激。然后再投球，把一个软绵绵的球扔到黑板上，黑板上有一个大圈，里面有一个小圈，如果投到那里就可以乘5分，如果投到其他地方只能乘2分。玩完后，大家有的愁眉苦脸，显然他们组输了。有的却眉开眼笑，显然是他们组赢了。

这就是我的外教，是我们班的外教，是一个令人喜欢的外教。

And we all know that the more knowledge a person has, the better-behaved he will be. I think this is the charming of reading. The importance mentioned above just a part of reading. It has so many advantages that I can’t list all in a short time. It is irreplaceable in human beings’ life.

其次，阅读可以陶冶我们的情操。我相信阅读一些优美的句子或者书中描述的美丽东西会使我们感到放松和舒适。我们都知道一个人拥有的知识越多，那个人就会表现得越好。我觉得这就是阅读的魅力。如果有更多的人喜欢阅读，这个世界会变得更加文明。

上面所提到的重要性只是其中一部分。阅读有很多的优点，在短时间内我都不能一一列举我不能列举。它在人类的生活中是不可替代的。

这类题目主要包括事实识别、有关计算、识图、排列顺序等。一般地，这类题目可以直接从短文中找到可用的信息。这些问题一般都涉及到文章的“5W”，即 who(人物)，when(时间)，where(地点)， what(事件)，why(原因)，how(方式)等。题目设计大多直截了当。只要通读全文，注意文中所述的重要事实或细节，就可以做出正确解答。以图表材料命制的题目更是如此。例如：

03’年山东省烟台市“阅读理解”短文(D)中有下面这样一段话：

针对这段文字，文后设有这样一道题：

又如03’年广东省中考“阅读理解”短文(C)篇中有这样一句话：

短文后的题目是：

【分析】题目所要问的是“Lake Ponkapog四周过去被什么东西所环绕？” 而阅读材料中已用There be句型表达出了这层意思，句式不同，却有异曲同工之妙。
