通过读书，我知道我们伟大的祖国有着五千年悠久的历史和灿烂的文化，有着享誉海外的“四大发明”，有世界第八大奇迹秦兵马俑、长城，有壮丽的故宫、无与伦比的苏州园林，还有丰富的宝藏和秀丽的风景……

如果有人问我周末都喜欢到哪里去，我会毫不犹豫地回答——书店或书房。

书店是我的的乐园，书房是我最亲密的地方。

只要一书在握，就算有再好的东西，我也不会感兴趣。有一次，我正在书房里看《三国演义》，妈妈想让我陪她去买裤子，我毫不客气的拒绝了。妈妈没有屈服，又央求道：“你就陪我去吧，买完裤子带你去吃肯德基!”“想用这招诱惑我，门儿都没有!不去!”我的读书故事我坚定地回答。妈妈被我搞的没辙了，只好“撤兵”独自出去。

这就是我的读书故事。

我时常会思考，读书是为了什么呢？周恩来先生是“为中华之崛起而读书”。现在，中华已经崛起了，那么我又为什么而读书呢？如果是为了自己那也可以选择不读书啊！读书究竟是为什么？中华正在崛起，但是还需要日益富强。只有这样中国才不会挨打，不会遭受其他国家的欺凌。于是我明白了，我要“为中华之富强而读书”！我把这句话当成了自己的座右铭。每次一看到或听到这句话我的内心就汹涌澎湃，就充满了力量，就干劲十足。

现在的中国还处于发展阶段，虽然科技也不算差，没有哪个国家敢来侵犯我们的国家。可是“生于忧患，死于安乐”，落后了就会挨打，我想这个道理谁都懂。国与国之间也是如此，落后了就要受别国的欺压。我翻阅历史资料，查看历史图片，看到我们的国家在“七七事变”中受到日本的侵略，是因为旧中国的落后，中国人的无能造成的。那惨不忍睹的一幕幕，那无法抹去的耻辱，那血淋淋的教训，直叫人又气又恨。我握紧拳头，恨得咬牙切齿。我真想回到过去，改写一切！可是我不能，历史永远无法改变。我好像什么也做不了。想到这里，我忽然又像泄了气的皮球一样，耷拉着脑袋，我能做什么呢？

无意中，我翻阅课本看到了自己曾经亲手写的座右铭“为中华之富强而读书”，猛然醒悟，对！我可以奋发读书，努力进取，长大后成为国之栋梁，为国家富强添砖加瓦。于是，我猛地挺起腰，全身心的投入到了学习中。

又考砸了，怎么学的这么糟糕？为什么又是失败？我的内心非常烦躁，只感到疲惫，好想瘫软下去。刚一低头，脑海中又浮现出“为中华之富强而读书”这九个大字。我把这句话写在便利贴上，贴满了我的屋子，时刻提醒着自己。风一吹，便利贴随风摆动，好像在为我加油鼓劲儿，它们一直鼓舞着我前进。

我要时刻铭记着“为中华之富强而读书”，不断提醒自己：“少年强则国强，少年殆则国殆。”所以只有从我们开始奋发读书，努力学习，才能让祖国日益富强，不再落后挨打，永远骄傲的屹立于世界民族之林。
