中华民族有着悠久的历史和灿烂的文化,四大发明、雄伟的万里长城、辉煌绝世的兵马俑,无不让我们骄傲和自豪.然而火烧圆明园、南京大屠杀的耻辱历史让我们知道贫穷落后是要挨打的,从而激励我们更加奋发图强,把祖国建设的繁荣富强,使历史的悲剧不再重演,让人民过上幸福安康的生活.知识是用金钱买不到的.开卷有益,读书的益处无穷无尽.让我们从现在开始,好读书,读好书,真正掌握现代科技,练好本领,为将来建设祖国打下坚实的基础.

夏天，我们与阳光作伴，与树木和草地作伴，夜晚的凉风，风吹树响的声音，雨滴掉落的声音，鸟儿啁啾的声音一切都丰富有趣。当然，也少不了虫鸣声。在这边土地上，生物遍地，昆虫便是生活中的一员，常见却不引人注目，人们只注意到它们的存在，却不知昆虫也有自己的天下。

蚂蚁，我想大家都耳熟能详了，勤劳的工作者，团结的大集体，搬家的小能手，但又有谁知道勤劳朴实的背后真面目却是一个“疯狂的掠夺者”呢?我想，书中便有一个典型的范例：7月，午后酷暑难耐，成群的昆虫寻找水源，而蝉则不屑一顾，用那如钻头般的细嘴，在自己那永不干涸的酒窖中钻了开来，慢慢享受这一美味的汁液。但好景不长，这一香味儿随风散入了各处。胡蜂，苍蝇，球螋，泥蜂，珠蜂还有蚂蚁。为了清泉，它们拼命挤上去嘬一口，然后飞一圈又更大胆地反回来。而蝉则抬爪方便他们通过。就这样，不速之客贪心越来越大，刚刚还谨小慎微的它们直接变成乱哄哄的侵略者，一心要把掘井者从井边驱逐。在这场战斗中，蚂蚁最属疯狂，它们撕蝉身，扯蝉爪，甚至爬至蛘的胡须，洋洋得意。蝉受不了，撒泡尿离去。而蚂蚁浑然不在乎，一旦有机会它们又会用相同的法子喝上几大口。所以昆虫的世界和人一样复杂多变，表面也仅仅是表面。

诸如此类，还有很多：如雌螳螂在与雄螳螂交配完，便会一口吃掉丈夫，产子后便会离去;如绿蝈蝈在夜晚便会化身凶猛凌厉的猎手杀蝉于无形;如美丽的大孔雀蝶是个结婚狂，它们能飞越长距，穿越险阻，发现自己的意中人……所以，昆虫是有趣的、是奇妙的，它们和人一样有不同的性格，不同的姿态，它们如宇宙般神秘，有无数未知等着有心人解开。

Pollution is becoming more and more serious. I.ook at the batteries all around us. We all know that used batteries are bad for environment. We shouldnt throw them away. We should recycle them. Look at the plastic bags all around us. We all know plastic bags never rot. When we do shopping, we can use paper bags to store goods instead of plastic bags.

As a matter of fact, we can do a lot to prevent the pollution.Lets do something to bring pollution under control.

阅读是我生命的一部分，少了阅读，就好像少了什么。阅读给了我很大的收获，它告诉我很多新的知识。我喜欢在图书馆里看书，我喜欢阅读。小的时候看童话，现在因为认识了很多字，所以，现在改为看小说及漫画。

当我在阅读时，常会太着迷而忘了吃饭和写作业；当我在阅读一本好书时，我会无法自拔地沉浸在情节里，而忘了旁人的呼喊。有时书会带领你，变成了故事中的主角，让我体会故事里的无穷乐趣。

阅读彷彿带我进入奇幻世界，让我在书中又重新找回了乐趣！阅读的滋味，甜美得像是在吃糖浆一样，使我情不自禁地走入书里，沉睡在故事里的情节，无法自拔。

在书中，我学会到帮助别人，就是自己的快乐；也学会了不要轻易地相信别人，他可能是个恶魔，相信别人不如不要理会他。书中像是一本小字典，教我很多事。

古人云：“书中自有黄金屋，书中自有颜如玉。”可见，古人对读书的情有独钟。其实，对于任何人而言，读书最大的好处在于：它让求知的人从中获知，让无知的人变得有知。读史蒂芬?霍金的《时间简史》和《果壳中的宇宙》，畅游在粒子、生命和星体的处境中，感受智慧的光泽，犹如攀登高山一样，瞬间眼前呈现出仿佛九叠画屏般的开阔视野。于是，便像李白在诗中所写到的“庐山秀出南斗旁，屏风九叠云锦张，影落明湖青黛光”。

对于坎坷曲折的人生道路而言，读书便是最佳的润滑剂。面对苦难，我们苦闷、彷徨、悲伤、绝望，甚至我们低下了曾经高贵骄傲的头。然而我们可否想到过书籍可以给予我们希望和勇气，将慰藉缓缓注入我们干枯的心田，使黑暗的天空再现光芒?读罗曼?罗兰创作、傅雷先生翻译的《名人传》，让我们从伟人的生涯中汲取生存的力量和战斗的勇气，更让我们明白：唯有真实的苦难，才能驱除罗曼谛克式幻想的苦难;唯有克服苦难的悲剧，才能帮助我们担当起命运的磨难。

读海伦·凯勒一个个真实而感人肺腑的故事，感受遭受不济命运的人所具备的自强不息和从容豁达，从而让我们在并非一帆风顺的人生道路上越走越勇，做命运真正的主宰者。在书籍的带领下，我们不断磨炼自己的意志，而我们的心灵也将渐渐充实成熟。

读书能够荡涤浮躁的尘埃污秽，过滤出一股沁人心脾的灵新之气，甚至还可以营造出一种超凡脱俗的娴静氛围。读陶渊明的《饮酒》诗，体会“结庐在人境，而无车马喧”那种置身闹市却人静如深潭的境界，感悟作者高深、清高背后所具有的定力和毅力;读世界经典名著《巴黎圣母院》，让我们看到如此丑陋的卡西莫多却能够拥有善良美丽的心灵、淳朴真诚的品质、平静从容的气质和不卑不亢的风度，他的内心在时间的见证下折射出耀人的光彩，使我们在寻觅美的真谛的同时去追求心灵的高尚与纯洁。读王蒙的《宽容的哲学》、林语堂的《生活的艺术》以及古人流传于世的名言警句，这些都能使我们拥有诚实舍弃虚伪，拥有充实舍弃空虚，拥有踏实舍弃浮躁，平静而坦然地度过每一个晨曦每一个黄昏。

昨个儿，在听英语听力的时候，屏幕上冒出了个消息，说的是当当书店满200减100。

自己看着真是咬牙切齿。行动上不断地想要执行，想要开手买，但是，意志力却告诉我，不可以，说好的期中考试之前不可以再消费的。最后，意志力战胜了。

是啊，好多好多想要的书。想要一口气买下来，但是，却基于我说过的期中考试前不买东西。我的书啊。看了一下时间，活动也就只有两天的时间，因为是世界读书日所以才有的优惠的啊!

其实也想了好多。上了初中后，就没有说因为买书花了好几百的，现如今都是因为买零食花好几百。小学的时候，买书花好几百却是经常的事情，或许是因为小学总是有充足的时间给自己去好好地享受哪些书带来的乐趣，现如今一切都变了吧。所以不再频繁地买书，不再频繁地逛书店了吧，所以，不再在书籍上消费了吧。

后来安慰自己，没事，期中考试后，或许会有其他的优惠，期中考试回家后，第一件事情就买书，把平时自己想要看的那些书，都买下来。好好地看。

People always believe that when there is pressure, there is motivation, it

seems that pressure equals motivation. We need pressure, it makes us keep move

on, with pressure, we know what to do and how to fulfill our targets. Without

pressure, we are just like a child, never grow up, having no idea of

responsibility. It is pressure that makes us become mature, we should have

pressure, it indeed equals motivation at the certain level. While having too

much pressure is bad for our mind, it is just like a burden that presses our

mind, making people hard to take a breath. Nowadays the case of people commit

suicide is increasing, the reason is that people can’t take a breath from much

pressure, they feel there is no hope in life, no matter what they do, life just

frustrates them. We should have the right attitude towards pressure.
