今年的暑假是最愉快的。我花了十五天帮助我的爷爷奶奶在乡下做农活，在那里我看到了山上覆盖着绿色植物的田野。有时我去村子西边的河里游泳，那里的水很清澈。

我每天记日记。除了做农活，我还帮助邻居家的孩子学习功课。他们都对英语感兴趣。他们读得很好，几乎不懂简单的英语。所以每天早上我花了大约两个小时帮助他们提高听力口语。他们都取得了很大的进步。他们的父母都对我评价很高。我现在认识到农村需要知识。

在生活中许多人都要读书。书是人类进步的阶梯。书如我们一个要好的朋友和一位品德高尚的老师，读书有哪些好处呢？

记得有一天上午，老师说：“第一节课和第二节课考试，请同学们加紧复习。”同学们听后，教室里立刻慌乱了起来，响起了读书的声音，我也赶快从抽屉里拿出语文书和开心教程，认真地看了起来和认真地读了起来。开始考试了，我一看试卷，“怎么题目这么容易呀！”我说道。我的手立刻忙了起来，过了一节课，基础题做完了，下课了，我认真地检查着试卷，又上课了，我又写起了作文。此时教室里连一枚针掉在地上，都听得见。不知不觉，我的作文写完了。我仔细地检查了试卷一遍又一遍。过了一会儿，下课了，老师叫组长收试卷，组长把试卷收上去了。这时，我的心中像是压着一块石头一样。过了几天，考试成绩下来了，结果我考了100分，此时我的心里真是欣喜若狂，我也一蹦三尺高。刹那间，我明白了，我们成绩为什么那么好，原来是因为我考试前复习了。

经过这次考试我明白了考试前读书的好处，这一点我一直深刻记在心里，自然这一点也使我更加努力学习，奋发向上。

One possible version: In order to support Beijing to hold the 20XX Olympic Games and protect our environment, an activity was organized by the Young League and Students Union of our school during the week from June 3rd to June 8th. All the students in the senior grades took active part in it.
